Job 41
1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with a fish hook? or press down his tongue with a cord?
“നിനക്കു ലിവ്യാഥാനെ മീൻചൂണ്ടകൊണ്ടു പിടിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? അഥവാ, കയറുകൊണ്ട് അതിന്റെ നാക്ക് നിനക്കു ബന്ധിക്കാമോ?
2 Canst thou put a rope into his nose? or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
അതിന്റെ മൂക്കിൽക്കൂടി ഒരു ചരട് കോർത്തെടുക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ താടിയെല്ലിൽ ഒരു കൊളുത്ത് കുത്തിയിറക്കാൻ പറ്റുമോ?
3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? or will he speak soft words unto thee?
അതു നിന്നോട് കരുണയ്ക്കായി യാചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമോ? അതു സൗമ്യമായി നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുമോ?
4 Will he make a covenant with thee, that thou shouldest take him for a servant for ever?
അതിനെ ആജീവനാന്തം നിന്റെ അടിമയായി എടുക്കുന്നതിന് അതു നീയുമായി ഒരു കരാറുചെയ്യുമോ?
5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
ഒരു പക്ഷിയെന്നപോലെ അതിനെ നിനക്ക് ഓമനിക്കാമോ? അഥവാ, നിന്റെ പെൺകുട്ടികളോടൊപ്പം കളിക്കുന്നതിന് അതിനെ കെട്ടിയിടാമോ?
6 Shall the bands [of fishermen] make traffic of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
വ്യാപാരികൾ അതിനുവേണ്ടി വിലപേശുമോ? കച്ചവടക്കാർ അതിനെ പങ്കിട്ടെടുക്കുമോ?
7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fish spears?
അതിന്റെ ത്വക്ക് ചാട്ടുളികൊണ്ടു നിറയ്ക്കാമോ? അഥവാ, അതിന്റെ തലയിൽ മത്സ്യവേധത്തിനുള്ള കുന്തം തറയ്ക്കാമോ?
8 Lay thine hand upon him; remember the battle, and do so no more.
അതിന്റെമേൽ നീ ഒന്നു കൈവെച്ചാൽ, ആ മൽപ്പിടുത്തം നീ എന്നെന്നും ഓർക്കുകയും പിന്നീടൊരിക്കലും അതിനു തുനിയുകയുമില്ല!
9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
അതിനെ കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്താം എന്ന ആശതന്നെ വ്യർഥം; അതിന്റെ കാഴ്ചയിൽത്തന്നെ നീ വീണുപോകുമല്ലോ.
10 None is so fierce that he dare stir him up: who then is he that can stand before me?
അതിനെ ഉണർത്താൻതക്ക ശൂരത ആർക്കുമില്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ നിൽക്കാവുന്നവൻ ആര്?
11 Who hath first given unto me, that I should repay him? [whatsoever is] under the whole heaven is mine.
ഞാൻ കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അവകാശപ്പെടാൻ കഴിയുന്നയാൾ ആർ? ആകാശത്തിൻകീഴിലുള്ള സകലതും എനിക്കു സ്വന്തം.
12 I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, nor his mighty strength, nor his comely proportion.
“ലിവ്യാഥാന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളെയോ മഹാശക്തിയെയോ ചേലൊത്ത രൂപത്തെയോപറ്റി ഞാൻ മൗനിയാകുകയില്ല.
13 Who can strip off his outer garment? who shall come within his double bridle?
അതിന്റെ പുറമേയുള്ള തുകൽ ആർക്കു നീക്കംചെയ്യാം? അതിന്റെ ഇരട്ടക്കവചം കുത്തിത്തുളയ്ക്കാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?
14 Who can open the doors of his face? round about his teeth is terror.
അതിന്റെ മുഖദ്വാരങ്ങൾ തുറക്കാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും? അതിന്റെ ദന്തനിര ഭയാനകമത്രേ.
15 His strong scales are [his] pride, shut up together [as with] a close seal.
അതിന്റെ ചെതുമ്പലുകൾ പരിചകളാണ്, അവ ഭദ്രമായി മുദ്രവെച്ച് അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;
16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
വായു കടക്കാത്തവിധം അവ ഒന്നിനോടൊന്നു ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
17 They are joined one to another; they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
അവ ഒന്നിനോടൊന്നിണക്കപ്പെട്ട് വേർപെടുത്താൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം ഒട്ടിച്ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
18 His neesings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
അതിന്റെ ഉഗ്രമായ ഉച്ഛ്വാസത്താൽ മിന്നൽ ചിതറും; അതിന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ പ്രഭാതത്തിലെ രശ്മികൾപോലെയാണ്.
19 Out of his mouth go burning torches, and sparks of fire leap forth.
അതിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്ന് തീപ്പന്തം ബഹിർഗമിക്കുന്നു; അതിൽനിന്ന് തീപ്പൊരികൾ മിന്നിച്ചിതറുന്നു.
20 Out of his nostrils a smoke goeth, as of a seething pot and [burning] rushes.
തിളയ്ക്കുന്ന കലത്തിൽനിന്നും കത്തുന്ന ഞാങ്ങണച്ചെടിയിൽനിന്നും എന്നപോലെ അതിന്റെ നാസാരന്ധ്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുക വമിക്കുന്നു.
21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth forth from his mouth.
അതിന്റെ ശ്വാസം കനൽ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്ന് ആഗ്നേയാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ പായുന്നു.
22 In his neck abideth strength, and terror danceth before him.
അതിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ കരുത്തു കുടികൊള്ളുന്നു; സംഭ്രമം അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കുതിക്കുന്നു,
23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm upon him; they cannot be moved.
അതിന്റെ മാംസപാളികൾ അതിന്റെമേൽ ഉറപ്പായും ഇളക്കമില്ലാതെയും പറ്റിച്ചേർന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു,
24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, firm as the nether millstone.
അതിന്റെ നെഞ്ച് പാറപോലെ കഠിനം; തിരികല്ലിന്റെ പിള്ളപോലെ ഉറപ്പുള്ളതുതന്നെ.
25 When he raiseth himself up, the mighty are afraid: by reason of consternation they are beside themselves.
അതു തലയുയർത്തുമ്പോൾ ബലശാലികൾ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ മർദനത്തിൽ അവർ പിന്മാറുന്നു.
26 If one lay at him with the sword, it cannot avail; nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
വാൾകൊണ്ടുള്ള വെട്ട് അതിന്റെമേൽ ഫലിക്കുകയില്ല; കുന്തമോ ചാട്ടുളിയോ വേലോ എല്ലാം ഫലശൂന്യംതന്നെ.
27 He counteth iron as straw, [and] brass as rotten wood.
അതിന് ഇരുമ്പ് വൈക്കോൽപോലെയും വെങ്കലം ചെതുക്കായ തടിപോലെയുംമാത്രം.
28 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.
അസ്ത്രംകൊണ്ട് അതിനെ ഓടിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല; കവിണക്കല്ല് അതിനു പതിർപോലെയാണ്.
29 Clubs are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the rushing of the javelin.
ഗദ അതിന് ഒരു കച്ചിത്തുരുമ്പുപോലെമാത്രം; ശൂലത്തിന്റെ കിലുകിലാരവത്തെ അതു പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
30 His underparts are [like] sharp potsherds: he spreadeth [as it were] a threshing wain upon the mire.
അതിന്റെ അധോഭാഗം മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ഓട്ടക്കലക്കഷണംപോലെയാണ്; ചെളിമേൽ ഒരു മെതിവണ്ടിപോലെ അതു വലിയുന്നു.
31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like ointment.
അത് ആഴിയെ തിളയ്ക്കുന്ന കുട്ടകംപോലെ കടയുന്നു; കടലിനെ അതു തൈലപ്പാത്രംപോലെ ഇളക്കിമറിക്കുന്നു.
32 He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.
അതു പോകുന്ന പാതയിൽ ഒരു തിളങ്ങുന്ന കപ്പൽച്ചാൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; കടലിനു നരബാധിച്ച പ്രതീതി ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
33 Upon earth there is not his like, that is made without fear.
ഭൂമിയിൽ ഒന്നും അതിനു തുല്യമല്ല; അതു ഭയമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജീവിതന്നെ.
34 He beholdeth every thing that is high: he is king over all the sons of pride.
ഗർവമുള്ള ഏതൊന്നിനെയും അതു പുച്ഛിച്ചുതള്ളുന്നു; അഹന്തയുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിനുംമീതേ അതു രാജാവുതന്നെ.”
