Job 39
1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? [or] canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
১পাহাড়ের বুনো ছাগল কখন তাদের বাচ্চার জন্ম দেবে তুমি কি জান? হরিণ কখন তার বাচ্চার জন্ম দেবে সেই দিন নির্ণয় করতে পার?
2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfill? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
২তুমি কি তাদের গর্ভ মাস গুনতে পার? তুমি কি সেই দিন জান কখন তারা তাদের বাচ্চার জন্ম দেয়?
3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, they cast out their sorrows.
৩তারা গুড়ি মারে এবং তাদের বাচ্চার জন্ম দেয় এবং তারপর তাদের প্রসব যন্ত্রণা শেষ হয়।
4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up in the open field; they go forth, and return not again,
৪তাদের বাচ্চারা বলবান হয় এবং খোলা মাঠে বড় হয়; তারা বেরিয়ে যায় এবং আর ফিরে আসে না।
5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
৫কে বুনো গাধাকে স্বাধীনভাবে যেতে দিয়েছে? কে দ্রুতগামী গাধার বাঁধন খুলে দিয়েছে,
6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the salt land his dwelling place.
৬আমি মরুভূমিকে তার ঘর বানিয়েছি, লবনভূমিকে তার ঘর বানিয়েছি?
7 He scorneth the tumult of the city, neither heareth he the shoutings of the driver.
৭সে শহরের আন্দোলনে অবজ্ঞায় হাঁসে; সে চালকের আওয়াজ শোনে না।
8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
৮তার চারণভূমির মত সে পাহাড়ের ওপরে ঘুরে বেড়ায়; সেখানে সে সবুজ চারাগাছ খোঁজে খাওয়ার জন্য।
9 Will the wild-ox be content to serve thee? or will he abide by thy crib?
৯বুনো ষাঁড় কি তোমার সেবা করে খুশি হবে? সে কি তোমার যাবপাত্রের কাছে থাকতে রাজি হবে?
10 Canst thou bind the wild-ox with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
১০একটা দড়ি দিয়ে, তুমি কি সেই ষাঁড়কে বশ করে হাল দেওয়াতে পারবে? সে কি তোমার জন্য উপত্যকায় মই দেবে?
11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave to him thy labour?
১১তুমি কি তাকে বিশ্বাস করবে কারণ তার শক্তি অনেক? তুমি কি তোমার কাজ তার ওপর ছেড়ে দেবে করার জন্য?
12 Wilt thou confide in him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather [the corn of] thy threshingfloor?
১২তুমি কি তার ওপর নির্ভর করবে তোমার শস্য ঘরে আনার জন্য, তোমার খামারে শস্য জড়ো করার জন্য?
13 The wing of the ostrich rejoiceth, [but] are her pinions and feathers kindly?
১৩উঠপাখির ডানা গর্বের সঙ্গে ঝাপটায়, কিন্তু তার ডানা এবং পালক কি ভালবাসার?
14 For she leaveth her eggs on the earth, and warmeth them in the dust,
১৪সে তার ডিম মাটিতে পাড়ে এবং সে সেগুলোকে ধূলোয় গরম হতে দেয়;
15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may trample them.
১৫সে ভুলে যায় যে পায়ের তলায় সেগুলো চূর্ণ হতে পারে অথবা সে ভুলে যায় যে বন্য পশু সেগুলোকে মাড়াতে পারে।
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as if they were not hers: though her labour be in vain, [she is] without fear;
১৬সে তার বাচ্চাদের সঙ্গে কঠোর ব্যবহার করে যেন সেই বাচ্চাগুলো তার নয়; সে ভয় পায় না যে তার সমস্ত পরিশ্রম বৃথা যেতে পারে,
17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
১৭কারণ ঈশ্বর তাকে জ্ঞান থেকে বঞ্চিত করেছেন এবং তাকে কোন বুদ্ধি দেন নি।
18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
১৮যখন সে খুব দ্রুতগতিতে দৌড়ায়, সে ঘোড়া এবং তার চালকের প্রতি অবজ্ঞায় হাসে।
19 Hast thou given the horse [his] might? hast thou clothed his neck with the quivering mane?
১৯তুমি কি ঘোড়াকে তার শক্তি দিয়েছ? তুমি কি তার ঘাড়ে কেশর দিয়েছ?
20 Hast thou made him to leap as a locust? the glory of his snorting is terrible.
২০কখনও কি তুমি তাকে পঙ্গপালের মত লাফান করিয়েছ? তার চিঁহিহি শব্দ ভয়ঙ্কর।
21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth out to meet the armed men.
২১সে পরাক্রমে পা ফেলে এবং তার শক্তিতে আনন্দ করে; সে অস্ত্রের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে যায়।
22 He mocketh at fear, and is not dismayed; neither turneth he back from the sword.
২২সে ভয়কে উপহাস করে এবং সে আতঙ্কিত হয় না; সে খড়গ থেকে মুখ ফেরায় না।
23 The quiver rattleth against him, the flashing spear and the javelin.
২৩তীরের ঝুমঝুমি তার বিরুদ্ধে শব্দ করে, তা সঙ্গে ধারালো বর্শা এবং বল্লম শব্দ করে।
24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage; neither believeth he that it is the voice of the trumpet.
২৪সে উগ্রতায় এবং রাগে ভূমি খেয়ে ফেলে; শিঙ্গার আওয়াজ শুনলে, সে এক জায়গায় দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে পারে না।
25 As oft as the trumpet [soundeth] he saith, Aha! and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
২৫যখনই শিঙ্গা আওয়াজ করে, সে বলে, ওহো! সে দূর থেকে যুদ্ধের গন্ধ পায় সেনাপতিদের গর্জ্জন এবং চিত্কার শুনে।
26 Doth the hawk soar by thy wisdom, [and] stretch her wings toward the south?
২৬তোমার জ্ঞানের দ্বারাই কি বাজপাখি উড়ে, দক্ষিণে দিকে সে তার ডানা মেলে?
27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
২৭তোমার আদেশেই কি ঈগল উপরে ওঠে এবং উঁচু জায়গায় তার বাসা বানায়?
28 She dwelleth on the rock, and hath her lodging [there], upon the crag of the rock, and the strong hold.
২৮সে দূরারোহ পাহাড়ের গায়ে থাকে এবং এক সুরক্ষিত আশ্রয়ে, পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় তার ঘর বানায়।
29 From thence she spieth out the prey; her eyes behold it afar off.
২৯সেখান থেকে সে তার শিকার খোঁজে; তার চোখ অনেক দূর থেকে তাদের দেখতে পায়।
30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
৩০তার বাচ্চারাও রক্ত পান করে; যেখানে মরা মানুষ, সেখানে সেও থাকে।”
