< Job 38 >
1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Na LEUM GOD El kaskas nu sel Job in paka uh me, ac fahk:
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
“Su kom an ku kusen siyuk nu ke lalmwetmet luk uh Ke kas na lalfon ac wangin kalmac lom ingan?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Fin mukul se pa kom, tuyak inge Ac topuk ma nga ac siyuk sum uh.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Ku kom tuh muta ke nga orala faclu ah? Fin arulana yohk etu lom an, kwal srumun ngan lohng.
5 Who determined the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who stretched the line upon it?
Su tuh wotela mu in pa inge lupan faclu ah? Su tuh asroelik lain in srikasrak uh nu fac ah? Ku kom etu nufon top nu ke ma inge?
6 Whereupon were the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
Mea sruokya sru ma loangeak faclu uh? Su tuh oakiya eot in sruwasrik lun faclu?
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Ke tafun lotu in len sac, itu uh tuh tukeni on, Ac lipufan uh sala ke engan.
8 [Or who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb;
“Su tuh kaliya mutunpot ma sikulya meoa ah Ke kof uh pisrme liki kapin faclu ah?
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
Nga pa tuh afinya inkof uh ke pukunyeng Ac nokomla ke lohsr lulap ah.
10 And prescribed for it my decree, and set bars and doors,
Nga tuh akilenya masrol se lun inkof uh, Ac filiya oan tukun mutunpot ma srumasryukla arulana ku.
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further; and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
Ac nga fahk nu sin meoa uh, ‘Safla na insacn! Kuiyen noa lom an ac fah tui na inse.’
12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days [began, and] caused the dayspring to know its place;
Job, ku nu oasr len se in moul lom uh Ma kom sap faht uh in takak?
13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?
Nu oasr pacl kom sap tafun lotu uh in sruokya faclu Ac osrokak mwet sulallal uh liki acn in wikwik lalos uh?
14 It is changed as clay under the seal; and [all things] stand forth as a garment:
Kalmen len uh oru tuh fineol uh ac infahlfal uh in arulana kohn — Oana ikwikeni ke sie nuknuk, Kalem oana inken sie sil ma itungyuki fin fohk kle uh.
15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm is broken.
Kalem lun len uh arulana saromrom nu sin mwet koluk, Pa ikololosi liki anwuk sulallal.
16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?
“Ku nu oasr pacl kom som nu ke unon in kof ma oan in acn loal meoa? Nu oasr pacl kom fahsr fin kapin meoa uh?
17 Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? or hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?
Nu oasr mwet akkalemye nu sum mutunpot Su karingin acn lohsr lun facl sin mwet misa?
18 Hast thou comprehended the breadth of the earth? declare, if thou knowest it all.
Mea, kalem sum lah faclu lupa kac? Topukyu kom fin etu.
19 Where is the way to the dwelling of light, and as for darkness, where is the place thereof;
“Kom etu lah kalem uh tuku ya me, Ku lah pia acn ma lohsr uh mutawauk we uh?
20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest discern the paths to the house thereof?
Ya kom ku in srisrngiya acn kalem uh ac lohsr uh in tui we, Na sifilpa folokunultalma nu yen seltal uh?
21 [Doubtless], thou knowest, for thou wast then born, and the number of thy days is great!
Sahp kom ac ku, mweyen kom arulana matu, Ac kom tuh isusla oe ke faclu orekla ah!
22 Hast thou entered the treasuries of the snow, or hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail,
“Kom nu utyak nu in acn in filma Su nga filiya snow ac af yohk kosra uh we?
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
Nga filiyana oan akola nu ke pacl elya ac sikyak, Ac nu ke len in lokoalok ac mweun.
24 By what way is the light parted, or the east wind scattered upon the earth?
Kom nu som nu ke acn faht ah takak we, Ku acn ma eng kutulap uh tuh we me uh?
25 Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, or a way for the lightning of the thunder;
“Su pukanak inyoa ma af uh ac kahkla kac, Ac sakunla inkanek lun pusren pulahl in pacl in paka?
26 To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
Su oru tuh af uh in kahkla yen wangin mwet muta we?
27 To satisfy the waste and desolate [ground]; and to cause the tender grass to spring forth?
Su aksroksrokye acn ma pulamlamla ac arulana enenu kof, Tuh mah uh in ku in srunak we?
28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
Ku oasr papa tumun af uh ku aunfong uh?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
Su oswela ice ac aunfong ma kekela uh,
30 The waters are hidden as [with] stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
Ma oru tuh kof in ekla oana eot, Ac orala fin kof uh in tipenmarla?
31 Canst thou bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
“Ya kom ku in kapriya un itu Pleiades nu sie, Ku tulala mwe lohl ma kapriya un itu Orion uh?
32 Canst thou lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season? or canst thou guide the Bear with her train?
Kom ku in pakiya mukuikui lun itu uh ke pacl la, Ac kol un itu ma petsaela Mwe Yuyu Lulap se ac Mwe Yuyu Srisrik sac uh?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? canst thou establish the dominion thereof in the earth?
Ku kom etu ma sap ma karingin acn engyeng uh, Ac kom ku in oru tuh ma sap inge in orekmakinyuk pac faclu?
34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
“Kom ku in wowoyak ac sapsap nu sin pukunyeng uh Ac oru tuh elos in fwikomla in wolak ke af?
35 Canst thou send forth lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
Ac kom fin sap sarom uh in sarmelik, Ya ac ku in tuku nu yurum ac fahk, ‘Kut a inge. Mea pac kut in oru?’
36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the mind?
Su fahk nu sin won ibis lah Infacl Nile ac sronoti, Ku su fahk nu sin won wa mukul uh lah ac afi?
37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom? or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,
Su oasr etauk yoro, ac ku in oakla pukunyeng uh, Ac eklulosyak in kahkinya af uh —
38 When the dust runneth into a mass, and the clods cleave fast together?
Af su folsani fohkfok uh ac srukoalela?
39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lioness? or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
“Ku kom pa sokak mongo nun lion uh, Ac akkihpye lion fusr su masrinsral
40 When they couch in their dens, [and] abide in the covert to lie in wait?
Ke elos ac wikwik in luf lalos uh, Ku oan in luf kialos soan ma elos in uniya uh?
41 Who provideth for the raven his food, when his young ones cry unto God, [and] wander for lack of meat?
Su sang mongo nu sin won raven uh Ke pacl elos forfor masrinsral, Ac ke pacl won fusr natulos uh pang nu sik in sukok mongo?
