Job 34
1 Moreover Elihu answered and said,
೧ಆಗ ಎಲೀಹು ಮತ್ತೆ ಇಂತೆಂದನು,
2 Hear my words, ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
೨“ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ!
3 For the ear trieth words, as the palate tasteth meat.
೩ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ರುಚಿನೋಡುವಂತೆ, ಕಿವಿಯು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ.
4 Let us choose for us that which is right: let us know among ourselves what is good.
೪ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೇ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಇಂಥದೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ.
5 For Job hath said, I am righteous, and God hath taken away my right:
೫ಯೋಬನು, ‘ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನು, ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
6 Notwithstanding my right I am [accounted] a liar; my wound is incurable, [though I am] without transgression.
೬ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿದ್ದರೂ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರ ಎಂದು ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆತನ ಬಾಣದ ಪೆಟ್ಟು ವಿಪರೀತವಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
7 What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
೭ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನು ಯಾರು? ದೇವದೂಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಂತೆ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ.
8 Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
೮ಅವನು ಅಧರ್ಮಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಡೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
9 For he hath said, it profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
೯‘ಒಬ್ಬನು ದೇವರ ಅನ್ಯೋನ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರೂ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನಷ್ಟೆ.
10 Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
೧೦ಹೀಗಿರಲು, ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ದೇವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂಬ ಯೋಚನೆಯೂ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾನೆಂಬ ಭಾವನೆಯೂ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ!
11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
೧೧ಆತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಕೃತ್ಯದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿಬಿಡುವನು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನಡತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು.
12 Yea, of a surety, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
೧೨ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕುಮಾಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
13 Who gave him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
೧೩ಭೂಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಆತನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವನು ಯಾರು? ಯಾರು ಭೂಮಂಡಲವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ರಮಪಡಿಸಿದನು?
14 If he set his heart upon man, [if] he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
೧೪ಆತನು ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ, ಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾದರೆ,
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
೧೫ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವರು, ಪುನಃ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಧೂಳೇ ಆಗುವರು.
16 If now [thou hast] understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
೧೬ನಿನಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವಿದ್ದರೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು!
17 Shall even one that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is just [and] mighty?
೧೭ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವನು ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಾನೇ? ಧರ್ಮಸ್ವರೂಪನೂ, ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಾತನನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವನೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುವೆಯಾ?
18 Is it [fit] to say to a king, [Thou art] vile? [or] to nobles, [Ye are] wicked?
೧೮ಆತನು ರಾಜನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಮೂರ್ಖ’ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀವು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲನೇ?
19 [How much less to] him that respecteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
೧೯ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸದೆ, ಬಡವರು ಬಲ್ಲಿದರು ಎಂಬ ಭೇದವನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವನು; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆತನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರಷ್ಟೆ.
20 In a moment they die, even at midnight; the people are shaken and pass away, and the mighty are taken away without hand.
೨೦ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರದೊಳಗೆ ಸಾಯುವರು; ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಕದಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುವರು, ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕೈ ಸೋಕದೆ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರೂ ಅಪಹರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು.
21 For his eyes are upon the ways of a man, and he seeth all his goings.
೨೧ಆತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡುವನು.
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
೨೨ಅಧರ್ಮಿಗಳು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ, ಅನುಕೂಲವಾದ ಯಾವ ಕತ್ತಲೂ, ಯಾವ ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
23 For he needeth not further to consider a man, that he should go before God in judgment.
೨೩ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಮನವಿಡುವುದೂ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಆತನ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಬರುವುದೂ, ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
24 He breaketh in pieces mighty men [in ways] past finding out, and setteth others in their stead.
೨೪ಯಾವ ವಿಮರ್ಶಕರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು, ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರರನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವನು.
25 Therefore he taketh knowledge of their works; and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
೨೫ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವನು.
26 He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
೨೬ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಿಗೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪೆಟ್ಟುಹಾಕುವನು.
27 Because they turned aside from following him, and would not have regard to any of his ways:
೨೭ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸದೆ, ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಷ್ಟೆ.
28 So that they caused the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heard the cry of the afflicted.
೨೮ಹೀಗೆ ಬಡವರ ಗೋಳಾಟವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು, ಆತನು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಮೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿದನು.
29 When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether [it be done] unto a nation, or unto a man, alike:
೨೯ಆತನು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದರೆ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು? ವಿಮುಖನಾದರೆ ಆತನ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡುವವರಾರು? ಆತನು ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗಾಗಲಿ ಮಾಡುವುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ.
30 That the godless man reign not, that there be none to ensnare the people.
೩೦ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನು ಆಳಬಾರದು, ಯಾರೂ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗಕೂಡದು ಎಂಬುದೇ ಆತನ ಉದ್ದೇಶ.
31 For hath any said unto God, I have borne [chastisement], I will not offend [any more]:
೩೧ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ‘ನಾನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೂ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ,
32 That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more?
೩೨ನಾನು ಕಾಣದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಸೂಚಿಸು; ನಾನು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾದೀತೇ?
33 Shall his recompence be as thou wilt, that thou refusest it? for thou must choose, and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
೩೩ಆತನು ಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಬೇಡವೆನ್ನುವುದೇಕೆ? ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿತವಾಗಿರಬೇಕೋ? ನೀನೇ ಆರಿಸಿಕೋ, ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರೆನು. ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸು.
34 Men of understanding will say unto me, yea, every wise man that heareth me:
೩೪ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ,
35 Job speaketh without knowledge, and his words are without wisdom.
೩೫‘ಯೋಬನು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಲ್ಲ.’
36 Would that Job were tried unto the end, because of his answering like wicked men.
೩೬ಯೋಬನ ಪರಿಶೋಧನೆಯು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಂತೋಷ! ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹಾಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲವೆ.
37 For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
೩೭ಅವನು ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ದೈವದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆಹೊಡೆದು, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವರು.
