Job 23
1 Then Job answered and said,
೧ಆಗ ಯೋಬನು ಇಂತೆಂದನು,
2 Even today is my complaint rebellious: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
೨“ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ನರಳಾಟವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿದರೂ; ಆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಲುಗುವಿಕೆಯು ದೇವದ್ರೋಹವೆಂದು ಈಗಲೂ ಎಣಿಸುತ್ತೀರಾ?
3 Oh that I knew where I might find him, that I might come even to his seat!
೩ಆಹಾ, ಆತನ ದರ್ಶನವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಆದೀತು, ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂತೋಷ! ಆತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರೆನು.
4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
೪ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ತರ್ಕಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿವರಿಸುವೆನು.
5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
೫ಆತನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವೆನು.
6 Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me.
೬ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವನೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುವನು.
7 There the upright might reason with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
೭ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಚಿತ್ತನು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸುವನು. ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವುದು.
8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not [there]; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
೮ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಆತನು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲಾರೆನು.
9 On the left hand, when he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him.
೯ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ನೋಡಲಾರೆನು, ಬಲಗಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಆತನು ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
10 But he knoweth the way that I take; when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
೧೦ಆತನಾದರೋ ನನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲನು, ಆತನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುವೆನು.
11 My foot hath held fast to his steps; his way have I kept, and turned not aside.
೧೧ಆತನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯ ಜಾಡಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಓರೆಯಾಗದೆ ಆತನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನೇ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
12 I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
೧೨ಆತನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ನಿಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
13 But he is in one [mind], and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
೧೩ಆತನಂತು ಒಂದೇ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ತಿರುಗಿಸಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು? ತಾನು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
14 For he performeth that which is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
೧೪ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮಕವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವವನಷ್ಟೆ, ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಗಳು ಅನೇಕವಾಗಿವೆ.
15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence; when I consider, I am afraid of him.
೧೫ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ಆತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಬರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೆದರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
16 For God hath made my heart faint, and the Almighty hath troubled me:
೧೬ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿದವನು ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಾಬರಿಪಡಿಸಿದವನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ.
17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither did he cover the thick darkness from my face.
೧೭ನಾನು ಹಾಳಾದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಅಂಧಕಾರವು ಕಾರಣವಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಕವಿದಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲು ಕಾರಣವಲ್ಲ.”
