Job 19
1 Then Job answered and said,
Y Job respondió y dijo:
2 How long will ye vex my soul and break me in pieces with words?
¿Cuánto tiempo harás mi vida amarga, y me quebrantas con palabras?
3 These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye deal hardly with me.
Diez veces me has escarnecido; no te da vergüenza de hacerme mal.
4 And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
Y, en verdad, si he estado en error, el efecto de mi error es solo en mí.
5 If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
Si se Han engrandecido contra mí, usando mi castigo como un argumento en mi contra,
6 Know now that God hath subverted me [in my cause], and hath compassed me with his net.
Asegúrate de que es Dios quien me hizo mal y me tomó en su red.
7 Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry for help, but there is no judgment.
En verdad, hago un clamor contra el hombre violento, pero no hay respuesta: grito pidiendo ayuda, pero nadie toma mi causa.
8 He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and hath set darkness in my paths.
Mi camino está amurallado por él para que no pueda pasar, ha oscurecido mis caminos.
9 He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
Él ha quitado mi gloria de mí, y ha quitado la corona de mi cabeza.
10 He hath broken me down on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he plucked up like a tree.
Estoy destruido por él por todos lados, y me he ido; Mi esperanza es arrancada como un árbol.
11 He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as [one of] his adversaries.
Su ira arde contra mí, y yo soy para él como uno de sus enemigos.
12 His troops come on together, and cast up their way against me, and encamp round about my tent.
Sus ejércitos se juntan, hacen su camino alto contra mí y levantan sus tiendas alrededor de la mía.
13 He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are wholly estranged from me.
Él ha alejado a mis hermanos de mí; Han visto mi destino y se han vuelto extraños para mí.
14 My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
Mis relaciones y mis amigos cercanos me han abandonado, y los que viven en mi casa me sacaron de la cabeza.
15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
Soy extraño para mis sirvientas, y me parece que son de otro país.
16 I call unto my servant, and he giveth me no answer, [though] I entreat him with my mouth.
Ante mi clamor, mi siervo no me responde y tengo que rogarle.
17 My breath is strange to my wife, and my supplication to the children of my [mother’s] womb.
Mi aliento es extraño para mi esposa, y desagradable para la descendencia del cuerpo de mi madre.
18 Even young children despise me; if I arise, they speak against me.
Incluso los niños pequeños no me tienen ningún respeto; cuando me levanto me dan la espalda.
19 All my inward friends abhor me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
Todos los hombres de mi círculo se alejan de mí; y los que me son queridos se vuelven contra mí.
20 My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
Mis huesos están unidos a mi piel, y me he salido con la carne entre los dientes.
21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
¡Ten piedad de mí, ten piedad de mí, mis amigos! porque la mano de Dios está sobre mí.
22 Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
¿Por qué eres cruel conmigo, como Dios, porque siempre has dicho mal contra mí?
23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were inscribed in a book!
¡Si tan solo mis palabras pudieran ser grabadas! ¡Si pudieran ponerse por escrito en un libro!
24 That with an iron pen and lead they were graven in the rock for ever!
¡Y con una pluma de hierro y plomo córtate para siempre en la roca!
25 But I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand up at the last upon the earth:
Pero estoy seguro de que mi redentor está vivo, y que, en el futuro, tomará su lugar en la tierra;
26 And after my skin hath been thus destroyed, yet from my flesh shall I see God:
Después de que los gusanos destruyan mi piel, aun en mi propia carne veré a Dios;
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another. My reins are consumed within me.
A quien veré de mi lado, y no como a nadie extraño. Mi corazón se rompe con el deseo.
28 If ye say, How we will persecute him! seeing that the root of the matter is found in me;
Si dicen: ¡Como lo perseguiremos! porque la raíz del pecado está claramente en él.
29 Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath [bringeth] the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
Teme por la espada, porque la espada es el castigo por tales cosas, para que puedas estar seguro de que hay un juez.
