Job 18
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
तब बिल्दद शुहीले जवाफ दिए र भने,
2 How long will ye lay snares for words? consider, and afterwards we will speak.
“आफ्नो कुरा तपाईं कहिले बन्द गर्नुहुन्छ? विचार गर्नुहोस्, र त्यसपछि हामी बोल्नेछौं ।
3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, [and] are become unclean in your sight?
तपाईंको दृष्टिमा हामीलाई किन जङ्गली पशुहरू जस्तै मूर्ख छौं?
4 Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? or shall the rock be removed out of its place?
तपाईंले आफ्नो रिसमा आफैलाई छिया-छिया पार्नुहुन्छ, के तपाईंको निम्ति पृथ्वीलाई त्यागिदिने? वा चट्टानहरूलाई तिनीहरूका ठाउँबाट हटाइदिने?
5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
वास्तवमा दुष्ट व्यक्तिको बत्ती निभाइनेछ । उसको आगोको ज्वाला बल्नेछैन ।
6 The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp above him shall be put out.
उसको पालमा ज्योति नै अँध्यारो हुनेछ । ऊमाथि रहेको उसको बत्ती निभाइनेछ ।
7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
उसको शक्तिका पाइलाहरू छोटा बनाइनेछन् । उसका आफ्नै योजनाहरूले उसलाई तल पार्नेछन् ।
8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon the toils.
किनकि उसको आफ्नै खुट्टाले उसलाई जालमा फल्नेछ । ऊ खल्डोतिर भौंतारिंदै जानेछ ।
9 A gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] a snare shall lay hold on him.
पासोले त्यसलाई कुर्कुच्चोमा समात्ने छ । जालले त्यसलाई पसाउनेछ ।
10 A noose is hid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
उसको लागि जमिनमा एउटा पासो लुकाइएको छ । अनि एउटा पासोले उसलाई समात्नेछ ।
11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall chase him at his heels.
त्रासहरूले चारैतिरबाट उसलाई डरमा पार्नेछन् । तिनले उसलाई पछिपछि खेद्नेछन् ।
12 His strength shall be hunger-bitten and calamity shall be ready for his halting.
उसको धन-सम्पत्तिले भोकमा पुर्याउनेछ, र विपत्तिले उसको छेउमै पर्खिनेछ ।
13 It shall devour the members of his body, [yea], the firstborn of death shall devour his members.
उसको शरीरका अंगहरू नष्ट पारिनेछन् । वास्तवमा, मृत्युको जेठो सन्तानले उसका अंगहरू निल्नेछ ।
14 He shall be rooted out of his tent wherein he trusteth; and he shall be brought to the king of terrors.
आफ्नो पालको सुरक्षाबाट उसलाई घिस्याइन्छ, र त्रासको राजाकहाँ लगिन्छ ।
15 There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
अपरिचित मानिसहरूले उसको घरभित्र गन्धक छरेको देखेपछि, तिनीहरू उसको पालमा बस्ने छैनन् ।
16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
उसका जराहरू तलतिरका नै सुक्नेछन् । माथिको उसको हाँगा काटिनेछ ।
17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
पृथ्वीबाट उसको सम्झना लुप्त हुनेछ । सडकमा उसको कुनै नाउँ हुनेछैन ।
18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
उसलाई उज्यालोबाट अँध्यारोमा धपाइनेछ, र यस संसारबाट लखेटिनेछ ।
19 He shall have neither son nor son’s son among his people, nor any remaining where he sojourned.
उसका मानिसका बिचमा उसको छोरो वा नाति हुनेछैन, न त ऊ बसेको ठाउँमा कुनै आफन्त हुनेछ ।
20 They that come after shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
एक दिन उसलाई जे हुन्छ, त्यसमा पश्चिममा बस्नेहरू मानिसहरू आतङ्कित हुनेछन् भने, पूर्वमा बस्नेहरू त्यसमा त्रसित हुनेछन् ।
21 Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
निश्चय नै अधर्मी मानिसहरूका घरहरू यस्तै हुन्छन् । परमेश्वरलाई नचिन्नेहरूका ठाउँहरू यस्तै हुने छन् ।
