Job 12
1 Then Job answered and said,
১তখন ইয়োব উত্তর দিল এবং বলল,
2 No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
২“কোন সন্দেহ নেই তোমরাই লোক; প্রজ্ঞা তোমাদের সঙ্গে মরবে।
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
৩কিন্তু আমার বুদ্ধি আছে যেমন তোমাদের আছে; আমি তোমাদের থেকে নিচু নই। সত্যি, কে জানে না এই বিষয়ে এমন ভাবে?
4 I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbour, [a man] that called upon God, and he answered him: the just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.
৪আমি আমার প্রতিবেশীর কাছে হাস্যকর বস্তুর মত, আমি, যে ঈশ্বরকে ডাকে এবং তাঁর দ্বারা উত্তর পায়! আমি, একজন ন্যায্য এবং ধার্মিক লোক, আমি এখন একটা হাস্যকর বস্তু।
5 In the thought of him that is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; it is ready for them whose foot slippeth.
৫যে শান্তিতে বাস করে, তার জন্য দুর্ভাগ্য অবজ্ঞার বিষয়; সে ভাবে, যাদের পা পিছলিয়ে যায় তাদের জীবনে আরও বেশি দুর্ভাগ্য আসে।
6 The tents of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].
৬ডাকাতদের তাঁবুর উন্নতি হয় এবং যারা ঈশ্বরকে রাগিয়ে দেয় তারা সুরক্ষিত অনুভব করে; তাদের নিজেদের হাত তাদের ঈশ্বর।
7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
৭কিন্তু এখন পশুদের জিজ্ঞাসা কর আর তারা তোমাকে শিক্ষা দেবে; আকাশের পাখিদের জিজ্ঞাসা কর আর তারা তোমাকে বলবে।
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
৮অথবা মাটির সঙ্গে কথা বল আর তা তোমাকে বলবে; সমুদ্রের মাছ তোমাকে ঘোষণা করবে।
9 Who knoweth not in all these, that the hand of LORD hath wrought this?
৯এদের মধ্যে কোন পশু জানে না যে এসমস্ত সদাপ্রভুর হাত করেছে, তাদের জীবন দিয়েছে,
10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
১০সদাপ্রভু, যার হাতে সমস্ত জীবন্ত বস্তুর প্রাণ এবং সমস্ত মানবজাতির আত্মা আছে?
11 Doth not the ear try words, even as the palate tasteth its meat?
১১কান কি কথার পরীক্ষা করে না যেমন থালা খাবারের পরীক্ষা করে?
12 With aged men is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.
১২বৃদ্ধ লোকেদের প্রজ্ঞা আছে; এবং দীর্ঘায়ুর বুদ্ধি আছে।
13 With him is wisdom and might; he hath counsel and understanding.
১৩ঈশ্বরের প্রজ্ঞা এবং পরাক্রম আছে; তাঁর ভালো চিন্তা এবং বুদ্ধি আছে।
14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again; he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
১৪দেখ, তিনি ভেঙে ফেলেন এবং তা আর গড়া যায় না; যদি তিনি কাউকে বন্দী করেন, তাহলে মুক্তি নেই।
15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; again, he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
১৫দেখ, যদি তিনি জলকে বদ্ধ করেন, তারা শুকিয়ে যাবে এবং যদি তিনি তাদের পাঠান, তারা দেশকে ভাসিয়ে দেবে।
16 With him is strength and effectual working; the deceived and the deceiver are his.
১৬শক্তি ও প্রজ্ঞা তাঁর; প্রতারিত এবং প্রতারণাকারী দুজনেই তাঁর।
17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and judges maketh he fools.
১৭তিনি মন্ত্রীদের সর্বস্ব লুট করে নিয়ে যান; বিচারকদের মূর্খে পরিণত করেন।
18 He looseth the bond of kings, and bindeth their loins with a girdle.
১৮তিনি রাজাদের থেকে কর্তিত্বের শিকল নিয়ে নেন; তিনি তাদের কোমরে কাপড় জড়িয়ে দেন।
19 He leadeth priests away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
১৯তিনি যাজকদের সর্বস্ব লুট করে নিয়ে যান এবং শক্তিশালীদের উত্খাত করবেন।
20 He removeth the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the elders.
২০তিনি বিশ্বস্তদের কথা মুছে দেন এবং প্রাচীনদের বুদ্ধি নিয়ে নেন।
21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and looseth the belt of the strong.
২১তিনি অভিজাতদের ওপর অপমান ঢেলে দেন এবং শক্তিশালীদের কোমরবন্ধন খুলে দেন।
22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
২২তিনি অন্ধকার থেকে গভীর বিষয় প্রকাশ করেন এবং গভীর অন্ধকারকে আলোতে নিয়ে আসেন।
23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he spreadeth the nations abroad, and bringeth them in.
২৩তিনি জাতিকে শক্তিশালী করেন এবং আবার তিনি তাদের ধ্বংসও করেন; তিনি দেশকে বাড়ান এবং আবার তিনি তাদের বন্দী হিসাবেও পরিচালনা দেন।
24 He taketh away the heart of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
২৪তিনি পৃথিবীর নেতাদের থেকে বুদ্ধি নিয়ে নেবেন; তিনি তাদের মরুপ্রান্তে ঘোরান যেখানে কোন পথ নেই।
25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
২৫তারা আলো ছাড়া অন্ধকার অনুভব করে; তিনি তাদের মাতাল লোকের মত টাল খাওয়ান।”
