< Jeremiah 7 >

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Hiche thuhi, Pakaiyin Jeremiah henga aseiyin, hitin ati.
2 Stand in the gate of the LORD’S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
Kipat in, Pakai houin lutna kotbul’a gadingin, mipite henga hiche thuhi gaphongjaltan. Vo Juda mite, Pakaiya hungkon thuhi ngaiyun. Pakai chibai boh dinga hilai mun’a hunglut jousen, nabon’un ngaiyuvin.
3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
Pakai Van Pathen, Israel Pathen chun hitin aseiye. Tuyeng injong, nahindolu leh nathilbolu aphalou jouse dalhauvin. Chutileh nangho na gamsunguva hi kachendensah ding nahiuve.
4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, are these.
Ahinlah, hilaimun’a Pakai houin aumnai, nangho nahoidoh teidiu ahi, tia jou leh nal’a thusei ho kilheplhah sah hih un. Amahon muntin’a, Pakai houin hilaiya aume, Pakai houin hilaiya aume, tin asei lele uvin ahi.
5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
Amavang, nanghon nalunggel’u leh nathilbolu aphalou jouse na dalhahuva, nangho kah’a khat leh khat thu adih’a nakitanpihuva ahileh, keiman nangho kahepiuva kakhoto ding nahiuve.
6 if ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your own hurt:
Nanghon gamdang kholjin miho, chagate leh meithai ho nabolgenthei dauva, chuleh toltha thisan so nabol dauva chuleh semthu Pathen ho nahou dauleh,
7 then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even for evermore.
Keiman napu napateu kanapehsa hiche gamsunga hi nangho aitih’a kachensah ding nahiuve.
8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
Nanghon, Pakai houin hilaiya aume, eiho huhdoh’a um ihitauve, tia jouthu seile ho’a chun kingai hih’un, pannabei ahibouve.
9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye have not known,
Hitia chu, nanghon naguh chatuva, tol nathauva, mitoh najonuva, Baal pathen houna gim namtwi nahluva chuleh pathen dangho nung najuijinguva,
10 and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered; that ye may do all these abominations.
Chuteng hilai mun’a keima angsunga nahung dinuva, kamin pan’a ‘Eiho huhdohihitauve’ natiuva, chuleh nanghon thet um tahtah ho nahiti boljing diu ham?
11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it, saith the LORD.
Nangho mitvet’a hi, hiche kamin’a kiminvosa houin hi, gucha michom ho kokhuh ahi, nati ngapu hitam? Tahbeh in hilai mun’a thilse kibol jouse keimatah in abonchan kamusoh hel e, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
Shiloh mun’a tun cheuvin, keima neihouna diuva kamin’a kalhendohsa mun chu ahi. Kami Israelte chonset jeh’a achunguva ipi kabol hitam, gavetauvin ati.
13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not:
Nanghon chonset hijatpi nabolun, keiman tanglou hel’a kaseipih vangun ngaisah in naneipouve. Chuleh keiman nangho kakouvin neihoudeh pouve, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
14 therefore will I do unto the house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
Hijeh’a chu, keiman Shiloh kasuhmang banga, tua hi kamin’a nakisonpiu hiche houin hi kasuhmang ding, chuleh napu napateu kapehsa hiche mun hi kasuhmang ding ahi.
15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
Chuleh keiman nainkote Israelte chunga kabol banga, nangho kamitmua kon’a sohchang dinga kadelmang ding nahiuve.
16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
Vo Jeremiah, hiche mite hi taopih datan. Amaho din taodan lang chuleh kap jong kap hih in. Chuleh amaho din kahenga hung tao hih in, ajeh chu keiman kangaipih lou ding nahi.
17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
Amahon, Judah gam khopi ho leh Jerusalem khopi lailunga, anop nop abolu khu, nangman namu lou ham?
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
Keima kalung analheh e! Vetan, chapang hon thing achom un, mipaten thil tona ding mei atih un, numeihon van lengnu asah u pathennu houna dingin changbong ameh un, changlhah asemuve. Chuleh keima lung natsah nadin amahon pathen dangho henga donthei thilto atohuvin, eipohnat sah uve.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD; [do they] not [provoke] themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?
Amahon alung natsahuva alunghansah uva chu keima kahilou ham? tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
Hijeh chun Hatchungnung Pakaiyin aseiye, Keiman hilaiya hi, mihem hihen, sahem hihen, thingphung holeh loujaova lousoh gaho hijongleh, kalungsatna meikou chu kabuh lhah ding, chuleh meikou phalmit mohel banga akah ding ahi, ati.
21 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat ye flesh.
Pakai Van Pathen leh Israel Pathen chun hitin aseiye, pumgo thilto naboluva chuleh kilhaina thilto chom chom nabol hou chu, kilah uvin lang nanghon nachaisoh uvin.
22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
Keiman napu napateu Egypt gam’a kon’a kahin puidoh chun, amaho kom’a pumgo thilto leh kilhaina thilto kangehpoi.
23 but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.
Keiman kangeh chu,’ kathu ngaiyun, chutileh keima nangho Pathen kahia, nangho kamite nahidiu ahi. Chuleh naphatthei nadiuvin, ijakai kathupeh bangin boluvin, kati.
24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in [their own] counsels [and] in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward.
Ahivangin kamiten kathusei ngai nahsah in aneipouve. Amahon lungthim setah leh louchaltah in, adei deiyin aboluvin, mache louvin anungche jouvin ahi.
25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day, I have sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
Napu napateuvin Egypt gam ahin dalhah niuva pat tuni geiyin, keiman kalhacha themgaoho tanglouvin niseh in ahenguva kasol jingin ahi.
26 yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers.
Ahivangin kamiten kathusei angaipouve, chuleh anakhanguva jah ding jong agelpouve. Louchal tah in aum un, apu apateu sangin thilse jo aboltauve.
27 And thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
Hijat hi amaho seipehin, amavang na sei ngaideh pouvinte. Nangman gihsalnan amaho kou jong lechun, amahon nahin houydeh pouvinte.
28 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the nation that hath not hearkened to the voice of the LORD their God, nor received instruction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
Chuteng nangin amaho seipeh in, Hiche nam mite hi Pakai a Pathenu thusei ngailoute ahiuvin, chuleh engbolna jong hilna-a kisanthei loute ahiuve. Alahuva thutah amangtan chuleh akamsungva jong thutah akijatapoi.
29 Cut off thine hair, [O Jerusalem], and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
Nalu kihettol inlang puldouvin, chuteng molsang laiya nachangin ga kaptan. Ajeh chu Pakaiyin alunghan jeh’a hiche nam mite hi apaidoh a adalhah ahitai.
30 For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
Ajeh chu, Judah miten kamitmu changin chonset aboltauve. Amahon kamin a kiminvo houin sunga thet umtah doilim akoiyun, muntheng asubohtauve, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
31 And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded not, neither came it into my mind.
Amahon milim houna doi-phung tampi, Ben-Hinnom phaicham munsanglai Topheth mun’a chun, asemdoh uvin, hichea chun amahon achanuteu leh a chapateu jong govam din atohdoh jengun ahiuve. Ahin hitobang thil hoise bolna din keiman thupeh kabolpon, chuleh kalung gel’a jong kagelkhapoi.
32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of Slaughter: for they shall bury in Topheth, till there be no place [to bury].
Hijeh chun heuvin, anikho chu ahunglhunge, tin Pakaiyin aseiye. Hiche munsanglai ho chu Topheth kititalou ding, chuleh Ben-Hinnom phaicham tiajong kihetalou ding, amavang kithagamna phaicham kitiding ahi. Amahon Topheth mun’a chu mithi avui avuidiu ahi, kivuina ding mun onglou hel’a mithi umding ahi.
33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
Chuteng kamite athiho tahsa chu vachate leh gamsate neh leh chah hiding, amaho gahoh jamding koima cha umlou ding ahitai.
34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride: for the land shall become a waste.
Chutia chu, keiman Jerusalem khopi lailunga kipa golnop kithong gin kasuh tangding ahi. Chuleh Judah khopiho’a jong kicheng dinga um mou leh moulang ho kipa thanop agin jouse kijatalou ding ahi. Ijeh inem itileh, agamsung chu ahom keuva kijam ding ahitai.
