Jeremiah 51
1 Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in Lebkamai, a destroying wind.
| «خداوند چنین می‌گوید: «اینک من بربابل و بر ساکنان وسطمقاومت کنندگانم بادی مهلک برمی انگیزانم. | ۱ |
2 And I will send unto Babylon strangers, that shall fan her; and they shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
| ومن بر بابل خرمن کوبان خواهم فرستاد و آن راخواهند کوبید و زمین آن را خالی خواهندساخت زیرا که ایشان در روز بلا آن را از هر طرف احاطه خواهند کرد. | ۲ |
3 Let not the archer bend his bow, and let him not lift himself up in his coat of mail: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.
| تیرانداز بر تیرانداز و برآنکه به زره خویش مفتخر می‌باشد تیر خود رابیندازد. و بر جوانان آن ترحم منمایید بلکه تمام لشکر آن را بالکل هلاک سازید. | ۳ |
4 And they shall fall down slain in the land of the Chaldeans, and thrust through in her streets.
| و ایشان بر زمین کلدانیان مقتول و در کوچه هایش مجروح خواهند افتاد. | ۴ |
5 For Israel is not forsaken, nor Judah, of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land is full of guilt against the Holy One of Israel.
| زیرا که اسرائیل و یهودا از خدای خویش یهوه صبایوت متروک نخواهند شد، اگرچه زمین ایشان از گناهی که به قدوس اسرائیل ورزیده‌اند پر شده است. | ۵ |
6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and save every man his life; be not cut off in her iniquity: for it is the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
| از میان بابل بگریزید وهر کس جان خود را برهاند مبادا در گناه آن هلاک شوید. زیرا که این زمان انتقام خداوند است و اومکافات به آن خواهد رسانید. | ۶ |
7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand; that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
| بابل در دست خداوند جام طلایی است که تمام جهان را مست می‌سازد. امت‌ها از شرابش نوشیده، و از این جهت امت‌ها دیوانه گردیده‌اند. | ۷ |
8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
| بابل به ناگهان افتاده و شکسته شده است برای آن ولوله نمایید. بلسان به جهت جراحت آن بگیرید که شاید شفایابد. | ۸ |
9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
| بابل را معالجه نمودیم اما شفا نپذیرفت. پس آن را ترک کنید و هر کدام از ما به زمین خودبرویم زیرا که داوری آن به آسمانها رسیده و به افلاک بلند شده است. | ۹ |
10 The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
| خداوند عدالت ما رامکشوف خواهد ساخت. پس بیایید و اعمال یهوه خدای خویش را در صهیون اخبار نماییم. | ۱۰ |
11 Make sharp the arrows; hold firm the shields: the LORD hath stirred up the spirit of the kings of the Medes; because his device is against Babylon, to destroy it: for it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.
| تیرها را تیز کنید و سپرها را به‌دست گیرید زیرا خداوند روح پادشاهان مادیان را برانگیخته است و فکر او به ضد بابل است تا آن را هلاک سازد. زیرا که این انتقام خداوند و انتقام هیکل اومی باشد. | ۱۱ |
12 Set up a standard against the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake concerning the inhabitants of Babylon.
| بر حصارهای بابل، علمها برافرازیدو آن را نیکو حراست نموده، کشیکچیان قراردهید و کمین بگذارید. زیرا خداوند قصد نموده وهم آنچه را که درباره ساکنان بابل گفته به عمل آورده است. | ۱۲ |
13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, the measure of thy covetousness.
| ای که بر آبهای بسیار ساکنی و ازگنجها معمور می‌باشی! عاقبت تو و نهایت طمع تو رسیده است! | ۱۳ |
14 The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, [saying], Surely I will fill thee with men, as with the cankerworm; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
| یهوه صبایوت به ذات خودقسم خورده است که من تو را از مردمان مثل ملخ پر خواهم ساخت و بر تو گلبانگ خواهند زد. | ۱۴ |
15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens:
| «او زمین را به قوت خود ساخت و ربع مسکون را به حکمت خویش استوار نمود. وآسمانها را به عقل خود گسترانید. | ۱۵ |
16 when he uttereth his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.
| چون آوازمی دهد غوغای آبها در آسمان پدید می‌آید. ابرها از اقصای زمین برمی آورد و برقها برای باران می‌سازد و باد را از خزانه های خود بیرون می‌آورد. | ۱۶ |
17 Every man is become brutish [and is] without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
| جمیع مردمان وحشی‌اند و معرفت ندارند و هر‌که تمثالی می‌سازد خجل خواهدشد. زیرا که بت ریخته شده او دروغ است و در آن هیچ نفس نیست. | ۱۷ |
18 They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
| آنها باطل و کار مسخره می‌باشد. در روزی که به محاکمه می‌آیند تلف خواهند شد. | ۱۸ |
19 The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the former of all things; and [Israel] is the tribe of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.
| او که نصیب یعقوب است مثل آنها نمی باشد. زیرا که او سازنده همه موجودات است و (اسرائیل ) عصای میراث وی است و اسم او یهوه صبایوت می‌باشد. | ۱۹ |
20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: and with thee will I break in pieces the nations; and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
| «تو برای من کوپال و اسلحه جنگ هستی. پس از تو امت‌ها را خرد خواهم ساخت و از توممالک را هلاک خواهم نمود. | ۲۰ |
21 and with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and him that rideth therein;
| و از تو اسب و سوارش را خرد خواهم ساخت و از تو ارابه وسوارش را خرد خواهم ساخت. | ۲۱ |
22 and with thee will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces the old man and the youth; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;
| و از تو مرد وزن را خرد خواهم ساخت و از تو پیر و طفل راخرد خواهم ساخت و از تو جوان و دوشیزه راخرد خواهم ساخت. | ۲۲ |
23 and with thee will I break in pieces the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke [of oxen]; and with thee will I break in pieces governors and deputies.
| و از تو شبان و گله‌اش راخرد خواهم ساخت. و از تو خویشران و گاوانش را خرد خواهم ساخت. و از تو حاکمان و والیان راخرد خواهم ساخت. | ۲۳ |
24 And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.
| و خداوند می‌گوید: به بابل و جمیع سکنه زمین کلدانیان جزای تمامی بدی را که ایشان به صهیون کرده‌اند در نظر شماخواهم رسانید. | ۲۴ |
25 Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.
| اینک خداوند می‌گوید: ای کوه مخرب که تمامی جهان را خراب می‌سازی من به ضد تو هستم! و دست خود را بر تو بلندکرده، تو را از روی صخره‌ها خواهم غلطانید و تورا کوه سوخته شده خواهم ساخت! | ۲۵ |
26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
| و از توسنگی به جهت سر زاویه یا سنگی به جهت بنیادنخواهند گرفت، بلکه خداوند می‌گوید که توخرابی ابدی خواهی شد. | ۲۶ |
27 Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz: appoint a marshal against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough cankerworm.
| «علمها در زمین برافرازید و کرنا در میان امت‌ها بنوازید. امت‌ها را به ضد او حاضر سازیدو ممالک آرارات و منی و اشکناز را بر وی جمع کنید. سرداران به ضد وی نصب نمایید و اسبان رامثل ملخ مودار برآورید. | ۲۷ |
28 Prepare against her the nations, the kings of the Medes, the governors thereof, and all the deputies thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
| امت‌ها را به ضد وی مهیا سازید. پادشاهان مادیان و حاکمانش وجمیع والیانش و تمامی اهل زمین سلطنت او را. | ۲۸ |
29 And the land trembleth and is in pain: for the purposes of the LORD against Babylon do stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.
| و جهان متزلزل و دردناک خواهد شد. زیرا که فکرهای خداوند به ضد بابل ثابت می‌ماند تا زمین بابل را ویران و غیرمسکون گرداند. | ۲۹ |
30 The mighty men of Babylon have forborne to fight, they remain in their strong holds; their might hath failed; they are become as women: her dwelling places are set on fire; her bars are broken.
| و شجاعان بابل از جنگ دست برمی دارند و در ملاذهای خویش می‌نشینند و جبروت ایشان زایل شده، مثل زن گشته‌اند و مسکنهایش سوخته وپشت بندهایش شکسته شده است. | ۳۰ |
31 One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken on every quarter:
| قاصد برابر قاصد و پیک برابر پیک خواهد دوید تا پادشاه بابل را خبر دهد که شهرش از هر طرف گرفته شد. | ۳۱ |
32 and the passages are surprised, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.
| معبرها گرفتار شد و نی‌ها را به آتش سوختندو مردان جنگی مضطرب گردیدند. | ۳۲ |
33 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing-floor at the time when it is trodden; yet a little while, and the time of harvest shall come for her.
| «زیرا که یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: دختر بابل مثل خرمن در وقت کوبیدنش شده است و بعد از اندک زمانی وقت درو بدو خواهد رسید. | ۳۳ |
34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his maw with my delicates; he hath cast me out.
| نبوکدرصر پادشاه بابل مرا خورده و تلف کرده است و مرا ظرف خالی ساخته مثل اژدها مرا بلعیده، شکم خود را ازنفایس من پر کرده و مرا مطرود نموده است. | ۳۴ |
35 The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and, My blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
| وساکنه صهیون خواهد گفت ظلمی که بر من و برجسد من شده بر بابل فرود شود. و اورشلیم خواهد گفت: خون من بر ساکنان زمین کلدانیان وارد آید. | ۳۵ |
36 Therefore thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.
| بنابراین خداوند چنین می‌گوید: اینک من دعوی تو را به انجام خواهم رسانید وانتقام تو را خواهم کشید و نهر او را خشک ساخته، چشمه‌اش را خواهم خشکانید. | ۳۶ |
37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for jackals, an astonishment, and an hissing, without inhabitant.
| و بابل به تلها و مسکن شغالها و محل دهشت و مسخره مبدل شده، احدی در آن ساکن نخواهد شد. | ۳۷ |
38 They shall roar together like young lions; they shall growl as lions’ whelps.
| مثل شیران با هم غرش خواهند کرد و مانندشیربچگان نعره خواهند زد. | ۳۸ |
39 When they are heated, I will make their feast, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.
| و خداوندمی گوید: هنگامی که گرم شوند برای ایشان بزمی برپا کرده، ایشان را مست خواهم ساخت تا وجدنموده، به خواب دایمی بخوابند که از آن بیدارنشوند. | ۳۹ |
40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he-goats.
| و ایشان را مثل بره‌ها و قوچها و بزهای نر به مسلخ فرود خواهم آورد. | ۴۰ |
41 How is Sheshach taken! and the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!
| چگونه شیشک گرفتار شده و افتخار تمامی جهان تسخیر گردیده است! چگونه بابل در میان امت‌ها محل دهشت گشته است! | ۴۱ |
42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
| دریا بر بابل برآمده و آن به کثرت امواجش مستور گردیده است. | ۴۲ |
43 Her cities are become a desolation, a dry land, and a desert, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.
| شهرهایش خراب شده، به زمین خشک و بیابان مبدل گشته. | ۴۳ |
44 And I will do judgment upon Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up; and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
| و من بیل را در بابل سزا خواهم داد و آنچه را که بلعیده است ازدهانش بیرون خواهم آورد. و امت‌ها بار دیگر به زیارت آن نخواهند رفت و حصار بابل خواهدافتاد. | ۴۴ |
45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of the LORD.
| «ای قوم من از میانش بیرون آیید و هر کدام جان خود را از حدت خشم خداوند برهانید. | ۴۵ |
46 And let not your heart faint, neither fear ye for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; for a rumour shall come one year, and after that in another year [shall come] a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
| ودل شما ضعف نکند و از آوازه‌ای که در زمین مسموع شود مترسید. زیرا که درآن سال آوازه‌ای شنیده خواهد شد و در سال بعد از آن آوازه‌ای دیگر. و در زمین ظلم خواهد شد و حاکم به ضدحاکم (خواهد برآمد). | ۴۶ |
47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon, and her whole land shall be ashamed; and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
| بنابراین اینک ایامی می‌آید که به بتهای بابل عقوبت خواهم رسانید وتمامی زمینش خجل خواهد شد و جمیع مقتولانش در میانش خواهند افتاد. | ۴۷ |
48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for joy over Babylon; for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the LORD.
| اما آسمانهاو زمین و هر‌چه در آنها باشد بر بابل ترنم خواهندنمود. زیرا خداوند می‌گوید که غارت کنندگان ازطرف شمال بر او خواهند آمد. | ۴۸ |
49 As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the land.
| چنانکه بابل باعث افتادن مقتولان اسرائیل شده است، همچنین مقتولان تمامی جهان دربابل خواهندافتاد. | ۴۹ |
50 Ye that have escaped the sword, go ye, stand not still; remember the LORD from afar, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.
| ای کسانی که از شمشیر رستگار شده ایدبروید و توقف منمایید و خداوند را از جای دورمتذکر شوید و اورشلیم را به‌خاطر خود آورید.» | ۵۰ |
51 We are ashamed, because we have heard reproach; confusion hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’S house.
| ما خجل گشته‌ایم زانرو که عار را شنیدیم ورسوایی چهره ما را پوشانیده است. زیرا که غریبان به مقدسهای خانه خداوند داخل شده‌اند. | ۵۱ |
52 Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images; and through all her land the wounded shall groan.
| بنابراین خداوند می‌گوید: «اینک ایامی می‌آیدکه به بتهایش عقوبت خواهم رسانید و در تمامی زمینش مجروحان ناله خواهند کرد. | ۵۲ |
53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.
| اگرچه بابل تا به آسمان خویشتن را برافرازد و اگرچه بلندی قوت خویش را حصین نماید، لیکن خداوند می‌گوید: غارت کنندگان از جانب من براو خواهند آمد. | ۵۳ |
54 The sound of a cry from Babylon, and of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
| صدای غوغا از بابل می‌آید وآواز شکست عظیمی از زمین کلدانیان. | ۵۴ |
55 For the LORD spoileth Babylon, and destroyeth out of her the great voice; and their waves roar like many waters, the noise of their voice is uttered:
| زیراخداوند بابل را تاراج می‌نماید و صدای عظیم رااز میان آن نابود می‌کند و امواج ایشان مثل آبهای بسیار شورش می‌نماید و صدای آواز ایشان شنیده می‌شود. | ۵۵ |
56 for the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, their bows are broken in pieces: for the LORD is a God of recompences, he shall surely requite.
| زیرا که بر آن یعنی بر بابل غارت کننده برمی آید و جبارانش گرفتار شده، کمانهای ایشان شکسته می‌شود. چونکه یهوه خدای مجازات است و البته مکافات خواهدرسانید. | ۵۶ |
57 And I will make drunk her princes and her wise men, her governors and her deputies, and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
| و پادشاه که اسم او یهوه صبایوت است می‌گوید که من سروران و حکیمان وحاکمان و والیان و جبارانش را مست خواهم ساخت و به خواب دایمی که از آن بیدار نشوند، خواهند خوابید. | ۵۷ |
58 Thus saith the LORD of hosts: The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly overthrown, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the peoples shall labour for vanity, and the nations for the fire; and they shall be weary.
| یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گویدکه حصارهای وسیع بابل بالکل سرنگون خواهدشد و دروازه های بلندش به آتش سوخته خواهدگردید و امت‌ها به جهت بطالت مشقت خواهندکشید و قبایل به جهت آتش خویشتن را خسته خواهند کرد.» | ۵۸ |
59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah to Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. Now Seraiah was chief chamberlain.
| کلامی که ارمیا نبی به‌سرایا ابن نیریا ابن محسیا مرا فرمود هنگامی که او با صدقیاپادشاه یهودا در سال چهارم سلطنت وی به بابل می‌رفت. و سرایا رئیس دستگاه بود. | ۵۹ |
60 And Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written concerning Babylon.
| و ارمیاتمام بلا را که بر بابل می‌بایست بیاید در طوماری نوشت یعنی تمامی این سخنانی را که درباره بابل مکتوب است. | ۶۰ |
61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, then see that thou read all these words,
| و ارمیا به‌سرایا گفت: «چون به بابل داخل شوی، آنگاه ببین و تمامی این سخنان را بخوان. | ۶۱ |
62 and say, O LORD, thou hast spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that none shall dwell therein, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.
| و بگو: ای خداوند تو درباره این مکان فرموده‌ای که آن را هلاک خواهی ساخت به حدی که احدی از انسان یا از بهایم در آن ساکن نشود بلکه خرابه ابدی خواهد شد. | ۶۲ |
63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:
| و چون ازخواندن این طومار فارغ شدی، سنگی به آن ببندو آن را به میان فرات بینداز. | ۶۳ |
64 and thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise again because of the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
| و بگو همچنین بابل به‌سبب بلایی که من بر او وارد می‌آورم، غرق خواهد گردید و دیگر برپا نخواهد شد و ایشان خسته خواهند شد.» تا اینجا سخنان ارمیا است. | ۶۴ |
