Jeremiah 50
1 The word that the LORD spake concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, by Jeremiah the prophet.
ヱホバ預言者ヱレミヤによりてバビロンとカルデヤ人の地のことを語り給ひし言
2 Declare ye among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is dismayed; her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed.
汝ら國々の中に告げまた宣示せ纛を樹よ隱すことなく宣示して言へバビロンは取られベルは辱められメロダクは碎かれ其像は辱められ其木像は碎かると
3 For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they are fled, they are gone, both man and beast.
そは北の方より一の國人きたりて之を攻めその地を荒して其處に住む者無らしむればなり人も畜も皆逃去れり
4 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek the LORD their God.
ヱホバいひたまふその日その時イスラエルの子孫かへり來らん彼らと偕にユダの子孫かへり來るべし彼らは哭きつつ行てその神ヱホバに請求むべし
5 They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces thitherward, [saying], Come ye, and join yourselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.
彼ら面をシオンに向てその路を問ひ來れ我らは永遠わするることなき契約をもてヱホバにつらならんといふべし
6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.
我民は迷へる羊の群なりその牧者之をいざなひて山にふみ迷はしめたれば山より岡とゆきめぐりて其休息所を忘れたり
7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
之に遇ふもの皆之を食ふその敵いへり我らは罪なし彼らヱホバすなはち義きの在所その先祖の望みしところなるヱホバに罪を犯したるなり
8 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he-goats before the flocks.
汝らバビロンのうちより逃よカルデヤ人の地より出よ群の前にゆくところの牡山羊のごとくせよ
9 For, lo, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; none shall return in vain.
視よわれ大なる國々より人を起しあつめて北の地よりバビロンに攻め來らしめん彼ら之にむかひて備をたてん是すなはち取るべし彼らの矢は空しく返らざる狡き勇士の矢のごとくなるべし
10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.
カルデヤは人に掠められん之を掠むる者は皆飽ことをえんとヱホバ曰たまふ
11 Because ye are glad, because ye rejoice, O ye that plunder mine heritage, because ye are wanton as an heifer that treadeth out [the corn], and neigh as strong horses;
我產業を掠る者よ汝らは喜び樂み穀物を碾す犢のごとくに躍り牡馬のごとく嘶けども
12 your mother shall be sore ashamed; she that bare you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the hindermost of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
汝らの母は痛く辱められん汝らを生しものは恥べし視よ國々の中の終末の者荒野となり燥ける地となり沙漠とならん
13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
ヱホバの怒りの爲に之に住む者なくして悉く荒地となるべしバビロンを過る者は皆その禍に驚き且嗤はん
14 Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about, all ye that bend the bow; shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
凡そ弓を張る者よバビロンの四周に備をなして攻め矢を惜まずして之を射よそは彼ヱホバに罪を犯したればなり
15 Shout against her round about; she hath submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD; take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
その四周に喊き叫びて攻めかかれ是手を伸ぶその城堞は倒れその石垣は崩る是ヱホバ仇を復したまふなり汝らこれに仇を復せ是の行ひしごとく是に行へ
16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.
播種者および穡收時に鎌を執る者をバビロンに絕せその滅すところの劍を怖れて人おのおの其民に歸り各その故土に逃べし
17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
イスラエルは散されたる羊にして獅子之を追ふ初にアツスリヤの王之を食ひ後にこのバビロンの王ネブカデネザルその骨を碎けり
18 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria;
この故に萬軍のヱホバ、イスラエルの神かくいひたまふ視よわれアツスリヤの王を罰せしごとくバビロンの王とその地を罰せん
19 And I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.
われイスラエルを再びその牧場に歸さん彼カルメルとバシヤンの上に草をくらはんまたエフライムとギレアデの山にてその心を飽すべし
20 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.
ヱホバいひたまふ其日その時にはイスラエルの愆を尋るも有らず又ユダの罪を尋るも遇じそはわれ我存せしところの者を赦すべければなり
21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: slay and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.
ヱホバいひたまふ汝ら上りて悖れる國罰を受べき民を攻めその後より之を荒し全くこれを滅せ我汝らに命ぜしごとく行ふべし
22 A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
その地に戰鬪の咷と大なる敗壤あり
23 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!
嗚呼全地を摧きし鎚折れ碎くるかな嗚呼バビロン國々の中に荒地となるかな
24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.
バビロンよわれ汝をとるために罟を置けり汝は擒へらるれども知ず汝ヱホバに敵せしにより尋られて獲へらるるなり
25 The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for the Lord, the LORD of hosts, hath a work [to do] in the land of the Chaldeans.
ヱホバ庫を啓きてその怒りの武器をいだしたまふ是主なる萬軍のヱホバ、カルデヤ人の地に事をなさんとしたまへばなり
26 Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.
汝ら終の者にいたるまで來りてこれを攻めその庫を啓き之を積て塵垤のごとくせよ盡くこれを滅ぼして其處に遺る者なからしめよ
27 Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
その牡牛を悉く殺せこれを屠場にくだらしめよ其等は禍なるかな其日その罰を受べき時來れり
28 The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
バビロンの地より逃げて遁れ來し者の聲ありて我らの神ヱホバの仇復その殿の仇復をシオンに宣ぶ
29 Call together the archers against Babylon, all them that bend the bow; camp against her round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
射者をバビロンに召集めよ凡そ弓を張る者よその四周に陣どりて之を攻め何人をも逃す勿れその作爲に循ひて之に報いそのすべて行ひし如くこれに行へそは彼イスラエルの聖者なるヱホバにむかひて驕りたればなり
30 Therefore shall her young men fall in her streets, and all her men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, saith the LORD.
是故にその日壯者は衢に踣れその兵卒は悉く絕されんとヱホバいひたまふ
31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou proud one, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
主なる萬軍のヱホバいひたまふ驕傲者よ視よわれ汝の敵となる汝の日わが汝を罰する時きたれり
32 And the proud one shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all that are round about him.
驕傲者は蹶きて仆れん之を扶け起す者なかるべしわれ火をその諸邑に燃しその四周の者を燒盡さん
33 Thus saith the LORD of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together: and all that took them captives hold them fast; they refuse to let them go.
萬軍のヱホバかくいひたまふイスラエルの民とユダの民は偕に虐げらる彼らを擄にせし者は皆固くこれを守りて釋たざるなり
34 Their redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
彼らを贖ふ者は強しその名は萬軍のヱホバなり彼必ずその訴を理してこの地に安を與へバビロンに住る者を戰慄しめ給はん
35 A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.
ヱホバいひたまふカルデヤ人の上バビロンに住る者の上およびその牧伯等とその智者等の上に劍あり
36 A sword is upon the boasters, and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.
劍僞る者の上にあり彼ら愚なる者とならん劍その勇士の上にあり彼ら懼れん
37 A sword is upon their horse, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her, and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures, and they shall be robbed.
劍その馬の上にあり其車の上にあり又その中にあるすべての援兵の上にあり彼ら婦女のごとくにならん劍その寶の上にあり是掠めらるべし
38 A drought is upon her waters, and they shall be dried up: for it is a land of graven images, and they are mad upon idols.
旱その水の上にあり是涸かん斯は偶像の地にして人々偶像に迷へばなり
39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wolves shall dwell there, and the ostriches shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
是故に野の獸彼處に山犬と偕に居り鴕鳥も彼處に棲べし何時までも其地に住む人なく世々ここに住む人なかるべし
40 As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn therein.
ヱホバいひたまふ神のソドム、ゴモラとその近隣の邑々を滅せしごとく彼處に住む人なく彼處に宿る人の子なかるべし
41 Behold, a people cometh from the north; and a great nation, and many kings shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
視よ北の方より民きたるあらん大なる國の人とおほくの王たち地の極より起らん
42 They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea, and they ride upon horses; every one set in array, as man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
彼らは弓と槍をとる情なく矜恤なしその聲は海のごとくに鳴るバビロンの女よ彼らは馬に乗り戰士のごとくに備へて汝を攻ん
43 The king of Babylon hath heard the fame of them, and his hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of him, [and] pangs as of a woman in travail.
バビロンの王その風聲をききしかば其手弱り苦痛と子を產む婦の如き劬勞彼に迫る
44 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of Jordan against the strong habitation: but I will suddenly make them run away from her; and whoso is chosen, him will I appoint over her: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time? and who is the shepherd that will stand before me?
視よ敵獅子のヨルダンの叢より上るが如く堅き宅に攻めきたらんわれ直に彼等を其處より逐奔らせわが選みたる者をその上に立ん誰か我のごとき者あらんや誰かわが爲に時期を定めんや何の牧者か我前に立ことをえん
45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely they shall drag them away, [even] the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.
さればバビロンにつきてヱホバの謀りたまひし御謀とカルデヤ人の地につきて思ひたまひし思想をきけ群の弱者必ず曳ゆかれん彼必ずかれらの住居を滅すべし
46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth trembleth, and the cry is heard among the nations.
バビロンは取れたりとの聲によりて地震へその號咷國々の中に聞ゆ
