Jeremiah 47

1 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.

Ятэ Кувынтул Домнулуй спус пророкулуй Иеремия ку привире ла филистень, ынаинте ка Фараон сэ батэ Газа:

2 Thus saith the LORD: Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall become an overflowing stream, and shall overflow the land and all that is therein, the city and them that dwell therein: and the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.

„Аша ворбеште Домнул: ‘Ятэ, се ридикэ ниште апе де ла мязэноапте, креск ка ун рыу ешит дин маткэ, ынякэ цара ши че купринде еа, четатя ши локуиторий ей. Ципэ оамений ши се боческ тоць локуиторий цэрий

3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong ones, at the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers look not back to their children for feebleness of hands;

де тропэитул копителор каилор луй путерничь, де хуруитул карелор луй ши де скырцыитул роцилор; пэринций ну се май ынторк спре копиий лор, атыт ле сунт де слэбите мыниле,

4 because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.

пентру кэ вине зиуа кынд вор фи нимичиць тоць филистений ши стырпиць тоць чей че служяу ка ажутоаре Тирулуй ши Сидонулуй. Кэч Домнул ва нимичи пе филистень, рэмэшицеле островулуй Кафтор.

5 Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is brought to nought, the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?

Газа а ажунс плешувэ, Аскалонул пере ку рэмэшица вэилор луй! Пынэ кынд ыць вей фаче тэетурь де жале ын пеле? –

6 O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard; rest, and be still.

Ах! Сабие а Домнулуй, кынд те вей одихни одатэ? Ынтоарче-те ын тякэ, опреште-те ши фий лиништитэ! –

7 How canst thou be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given thee a charge? against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore, there hath he appointed it.

Дар кум ар путя сэ се одихняскэ? Кынд Домнул доар ый порунчеште ши о ындряптэ ымпотрива Аскалонулуй ши коастей мэрий.’”
