< Jeremiah 47 >
1 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.
Kino kye kigambo kya Mukama Katonda ekyajjira nnabbi Yeremiya ekikwata ku Bafirisuuti nga Falaawo tannalumba Gaza nga kigamba nti:
2 Thus saith the LORD: Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall become an overflowing stream, and shall overflow the land and all that is therein, the city and them that dwell therein: and the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, “Laba amazzi agatumbira mu bukiikakkono, galifuuka omugga ogwanjaala. Galyanjaala ku nsi ne mu bibuga byonna ebigirimu n’ababituulamu. Abantu balikaaba; bonna abali mu nsi baliwowoggana.
3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong ones, at the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers look not back to their children for feebleness of hands;
Olw’emisinde gy’embalaasi ezidduka n’okufuumuuka kw’amagaali g’omulabe era n’okuwuuma kwa nnamuziga, bakitaabwe tebajja kukyuka kuyamba baana baabwe, emikono gyabwe gya kulebera.
4 because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.
Kubanga olunaku lutuuse okuzikiriza Abafirisuuti bonna, n’okusalako bonna abandisigaddewo abandiyambye Ttuulo ne Sidoni. Mukama wa kuzikiriza Abafirisuuti abaasigalawo ku mbalama z’ekizinga Kafutoli.
5 Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is brought to nought, the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?
Gaza alimwa omutwe gwe ng’akungubaga. Asukulooni alisirisibwa. Ggwe eyasigala mu kiwonvu, olituusa ddi okwesalaasala?
6 O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard; rest, and be still.
“‘Ayi ggwe ekitala kya Mukama Katonda, okaaba, obudde bunaatuuka ddi owummule? Ddayo mu kiraato kyo sirika teweenyeenya.’
7 How canst thou be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given thee a charge? against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore, there hath he appointed it.
Naye kiyinza kitya okuwummula nga Mukama y’akiragidde, ng’akiragidde okulumba Asukulooni n’olubalama lw’ennyanja?”
