Jeremiah 25
1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah; the same was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
੧ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਾਲ ਸੀ
2 the which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
੨ਜਿਹ ਦੀ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ
3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even unto this day, these three and twenty years, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising up early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
੩ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਮੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਈ ਸਾਲ ਹਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੜਕੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ
4 And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear;
੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਯਤਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਘੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਨਾ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਏ
5 saying, Return ye now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers, from of old and even for evermore:
੫ਇਹ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ
6 and go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
੬ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ, ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੋ, ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਨਾ ਚੜਾਓ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ
7 Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.
੭ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰਜੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਚੜਾਓ।
8 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
੮ਸੋ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ
9 behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and [I will send] unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
੯ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟੱਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਏ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਵਾ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹੌਲ, ਨੱਕ ਚੜਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਨੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ
10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
੧੦ਨਾਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਅਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਲਾੜੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਲਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਚੱਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਲੋ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ
11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਸੱਤਰ ਵਰਿਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੱਕ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ
12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate for ever.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤਰ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ। ਨਾਲੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ
13 And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ
14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them, even of them: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.
੧੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
15 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto me: Take the cup of the wine of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
੧੫ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਐਉਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਮਧ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਕਟੋਰਾ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਘੱਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਿਲਾ ਦੇ
16 And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
੧੬ਉਹ ਪੀਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ ਉਹ ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਫਿਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੜਫ਼ਣਗੇ।
17 Then took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
੧੭ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਟੋਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
18 [to wit], Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
੧੮ਅਰਥਾਤ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਭਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਰਾਨਾ ਹੌਲ, ਨੱਕ ਚੜਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਬਣਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹਨ
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
੧੯ਨਾਲੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਈਯਤ ਨੂੰ,
20 and all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
੨੦ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਲਿਆਂ-ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਊਜ਼ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਨ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਅਸ਼ਕਲੋਨ ਨੂੰ, ਅੱਜ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ, ਅਕਰੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੇ ਬਕੀਏ ਨੂੰ,
21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;
੨੧ਅਦੋਮ ਨੂੰ, ਮੋਆਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ,
22 and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
੨੨ਸੂਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸੀਦੋਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਟਾਪੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੈ,
23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners [of their hair] polled;
੨੩ਦਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ, ਤੇਮਾ ਨੂੰ, ਬੂਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਲਮੁੱਛੇ ਕਤਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ
24 and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the wilderness;
੨੪ਅਰਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਰਲੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ,
25 and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
੨੫ਜ਼ਿਮਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਏਲਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ,
26 and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
੨੬ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਰੇਡੇ ਹਨ, ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਕ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਪੀਵੇਗਾ।
27 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
੨੭ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ ਕਿ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਪੀਓ, ਖੀਵੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ, ਉਲਟੀ ਕਰੋ, ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਨਾ ਉੱਠੋ, ਉਸ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ!।
28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Ye shall surely drink.
੨੮ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਕਟੋਰਾ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪੀਓਗੇ!
29 For, lo, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.
੨੯ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਛੁੱਟੋਗੇ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾ ਛੁੱਟੋਗੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੱਦ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ
30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar against his fold; he shall give a shout, as they that tread [the grapes], against all the inhabitants of the earth.
੩੦ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਚੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, - ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਚਿਆਈ ਤੋਂ ਗੱਜੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਰਾਂਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੱਜੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਧਦੇ ਹਨ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ।
31 A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, saith the LORD.
੩੧ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਅਪੜੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਸ਼ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
੩੨ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਵੇਖੋ, ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੌਮ-ਕੌਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਪਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਤੂਫਾਨ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ!
33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.
੩੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਢੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਤੱਕ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੋਗ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਨਾ ਦੱਬੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਭੋਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਸ਼ਟਾ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves [in ashes], ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter are fully come, and I will break you in pieces, and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
੩੪ਹੇ ਆਜੜੀਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਲਕੋ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਲਾਓ। ਹੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟੋ! ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕਤਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਲਰਣ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਓਗੇ।
35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
੩੫ਆਜੜੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਨੱਸਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਬਚਾਓ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ।
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the howling of the principal of the flock! for the LORD layeth waste their pasture.
੩੬ਆਜੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਇੱਜੜ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਲਕਣਾ! ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਰਗਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
37 And the peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
੩੭ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਰਗਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਜੜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਡਾਢੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ।
38 He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppressing [sword], and because of his fierce anger.
੩੮ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਉਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੁਰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਡਾਢੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਡਾਢੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ।
