< Isaiah 20 >

1 In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it;
Mʼchaka chimene mkulu wankhondo wotumidwa ndi mfumu ya ku Asiriya, anabwera ku Asidodi ndi kuwuthira nkhondo ndi kuwulanda,
2 at that time the LORD spake by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go, and loose sackcloth from off thy loins, and put thy shoe from off thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
nthawi imeneyo Yehova anawuza Yesaya mwana wa Amozi kuti, “Pita kavule chiguduli ndi nsapato zako.” Ndipo iye anaterodi, ankangoyenda wamaliseche ndiponso wopanda nsapato.
3 And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and a wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
Kenaka Yehova anati, “Monga momwe mtumiki wanga Yesaya wakhala akuyendera wamaliseche ndiponso wopanda nsapato kwa zaka zitatu ngati chizindikiro ndi chenjezo kwa dziko la Igupto ndi Kusi,
4 so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt, and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
momwemonso mfumu ya ku Asiriya idzatenga ukapolo anthu a ku Igupto ndi a ku Kusi, anyamata ndi okalamba. Iwo adzakhala amaliseche ndi opanda nsapato, matako ali pa mtunda. Zimenezi zidzachititsa manyazi Igupto.
5 And they shall be dismayed and ashamed, because of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
Amene ankadalira Kusi, ndiponso amene ankadzitukumula chifukwa cha Igupto adzakhumudwa ndi kuchita manyazi.
6 And the inhabitant of this coastland shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and we, how shall we escape?
Tsiku limenelo anthu amene amakhala mʼmbali mwa nyanja adzati, ‘Taonani zomwe zawachitikira amene ife tinkawadalira, amene ife tinkathawirako kuti atithandize ndi kutipulumutsa kwa mfumu ya ku Asiriya! Nanga ife tidzapulumuka bwanji?’”
