Isaiah 19
1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
Η κατά της Αιγύπτου όρασις. Ιδού, ο Κύριος επιβαίνει επί νεφέλης κούφης και θέλει επέλθει επί την Αίγυπτον· και τα είδωλα της Αιγύπτου θέλουσι σεισθή από προσώπου αυτού, και η καρδία της Αιγύπτου θέλει διαλυθή εν μέσω αυτής.
2 And I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, [and] kingdom against kingdom.
Και θέλει σηκώσει Αιγυπτίους κατά Αιγυπτίων, και θέλουσι πολεμήσει έκαστος κατά του αδελφού αυτού και έκαστος κατά του πλησίον αυτού· πόλις κατά πόλεως, βασιλεία κατά βασιλείας.
3 And the spirit of Egypt shall be made void in the midst of it; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek unto the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
Και θέλει εκλείψει το πνεύμα της Αιγύπτου εν μέσω αυτής· και θέλω ανατρέψει την βουλήν αυτής· και θέλουσιν ερωτήσει τα είδωλα και τους μάγους και τους εγγαστριμύθους και τους μάντεις.
4 And I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
Και θέλω παραδώσει τους Αιγυπτίους εις χείρα σκληρών κυρίων· και βασιλεύς άγριος θέλει εξουσιάζει αυτούς, λέγει ο Κύριος, ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων.
5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.
Και τα ύδατα θέλουσιν εκλείψει εκ των θαλασσών και ο ποταμός θέλει αφανισθή και καταξηρανθή.
6 And the rivers shall stink; the streams of Egypt shall be minished and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither away.
Και οι ποταμοί θέλουσι στειρεύσει· οι ρύακες οι περιπεφραγμένοι θέλουσι κενωθή και καταξηρανθή· ο κάλαμος και ο σπάρτος θέλουσι μαρανθή·
7 The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all that is sown by the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.
τα λιβάδια πλησίον των ρυάκων, επί των στομίων των ρυάκων, και παν το εσπαρμένον παρά τους ρύακας θέλει ξηρανθή, απορριφθή και αφανισθή.
8 The fishers also shall lament, and all they that cast angle into the Nile shall mourn, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
Και οι αλιείς θέλουσι στενάξει και πάντες οι ρίπτοντες άγκιστρον εις τους ρύακας θέλουσι θρηνήσει και οι βάλλοντες δίκτυα επί τα ύδατα θέλουσι νεκρωθή.
9 Moreover they that work in combed flax, and they that weave white cloth, shall be ashamed.
Και οι εργαζόμενοι εις λεπτόν λινάριον και οι πλέκοντες δίκτυα θέλουσι ταραχθή.
10 And her pillars shall be broken in pieces, all they that work for hire [shall be] grieved in soul.
Και οι στύλοι αυτής θέλουσι συντριφθή και πάντες οι κερδαίνοντες από ιχθυοτροφείων.
11 The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the counsel of the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
Βεβαίως οι άρχοντες της Τάνεως είναι μωροί, η βουλή των σοφών συμβούλων του Φαραώ κατεστάθη άλογος· πως λέγετε έκαστος προς τον Φαραώ, Εγώ είμαι υιός σοφών, υιός αρχαίων βασιλέων;
12 Where then are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now; and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed concerning Egypt.
Που, που, οι σοφοί σου; και ας είπωσι τώρα προς σε, και ας καταλάβωσι τι εβουλεύθη ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων κατά της Αιγύπτου.
13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have caused Egypt to go astray, that are the corner stone of her tribes.
Οι άρχοντες της Τάνεως εμωράνθησαν, οι άρχοντες της Μέμφεως επλανήθησαν· και επλάνησαν την Αίγυπτον οι άρχοντες των φυλών αυτής.
14 The LORD hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her: and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
Ο Κύριος εκέρασεν εν τω μέσω αυτής πνεύμα παραφροσύνης· και επλάνησαν την Αίγυπτον εις πάντα τα έργα αυτής, ως ο μεθύων πλανάται εν τω εμετώ αυτού.
15 Neither shall there be for Egypt any work, which head or tail, palm branch or rush, may do.
Και δεν θέλει είσθαι έργον διά την Αίγυπτον, το οποίον η κεφαλή ή η ουρά, ο κλάδος ή ο σπάρτος, να δύναται να κάμη.
16 It In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα οι Αιγύπτιοι θέλουσιν είσθαι ως γυναίκες, και θέλουσι τρομάξει και φοβηθή από της χειρός του Κυρίου των δυνάμεων σειομένης, την οποίαν σείει επ' αυτούς.
17 And the land of Judah shall become a terror unto Egypt, every one to whom mention is made thereof shall be afraid, because of the purpose of the LORD of hosts, which he purposeth against it.
Και η γη του Ιούδα θέλει είσθαι φρίκη εις τους Αιγυπτίους· πας όστις ενθυμείται αυτήν θέλει φρίττει, διά την βουλήν του Κυρίου των δυνάμεων, την οποίαν απεφάσισεν εναντίον αυτών.
18 In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called The city of destruction.
Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα πέντε πόλεις θέλουσιν είσθαι εν τη γη της Αιγύπτου λαλούσαι την γλώσσαν της Χαναάν και ομνύουσαι εις τον Κύριον των δυνάμεων· η μία θέλει ονομάζεσθαι η πόλις Αχέρες.
19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλει είσθαι εν τω μέσω της γης Αιγύπτου θυσιαστήριον εις τον Κύριον και στήλη κατά το όριον αυτής εις τον Κύριον.
20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a defender, and he shall deliver them.
Και θέλει είσθαι εν τη γη της Αιγύπτου διά σημείον και μαρτυρίαν εις τον Κύριον των δυνάμεων· διότι θέλουσι βοά προς τον Κύριον εξ αιτίας των καταθλιβόντων, και θέλει εξαποστείλει προς αυτούς σωτήρα και μέγαν και θέλει σώσει αυτούς.
21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day; yea, they shall worship with sacrifice and oblation, and shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and shall perform it.
Και θέλει γνωρισθή ο Κύριος εις τους Αιγυπτίους· και οι Αιγύπτιοι θέλουσι γνωρίσει τον Κύριον εν εκείνη τη ημέρα και θέλουσι προσφέρει θυσίαν και προσφοράν· και θέλουσιν ευχηθή ευχήν εις τον Κύριον και εκπληρώσει αυτήν.
22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt, smiting and healing; and they shall return unto the LORD, and he shall be entreated of them, and shall heal them.
Και θέλει κτυπήσει ο Κύριος την Αίγυπτον· θέλει κτυπήσει και θεραπεύσει αυτήν· και θέλουσιν επιστραφή εις τον Κύριον· και θέλει παρακαλεσθή υπ' αυτών και θέλει ιατρεύσει αυτούς.
23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians shall worship with the Assyrians.
Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλει είσθαι οδός μεγάλη από της Αιγύπτου προς την Ασσυρίαν· και οι Ασσύριοι θέλουσιν ελθεί εις την Αίγυπτον, και οι Αιγύπτιοι εις την Ασσυρίαν, και οι Αιγύπτιοι μετά των Ασσυρίων θέλουσι δουλεύσει εις τον Κύριον.
24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth:
Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα ο Ισραήλ θέλει είσθαι ο τρίτος μετά του Αιγυπτίου και μετά του Ασσυρίου· ευλογία εν μέσω της γης θέλει είσθαι·
25 for that the LORD of hosts hath blessed them, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
διότι ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων θέλει ευλογήσει αυτούς λέγων, Ευλογημένη η Αίγυπτος ο λαός μου και η Ασσυρία το έργον των χειρών μου και ο Ισραήλ η κληρονομία μου.
