< Isaiah 16 >

1 Send ye the lambs for the ruler of the land from Sela [which is] toward the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
Twarĩrai ũrĩa wathanaga bũrũri tũtũrũme twa kũrĩha igooti, kuuma itũũra rĩa Sela, gũtuĩkanĩria werũ-inĩ, nginya kĩrĩma-inĩ kĩa Mwarĩ wa Zayuni.
2 For it shall be that, as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so shall the daughters of Moab be at the fords of Arnon.
O ta ũrĩa nyoni ciũrũũraga ciatharĩrio gĩtara gĩacio, ũguo no taguo andũ-a-nja a Moabi magaikara marĩ mariũko-inĩ ma Arinoni.
3 Give counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday: hide the outcasts; bewray not the wanderer.
“Tũhei kĩrĩra, na mũtue itua. Tũmai kĩĩruru kĩanyu gĩtuĩke ta ũtukũ, o kũrĩ mũthenya barigici. Hithai arĩa maingatĩtwo kwao, na mũtigakunyanĩre arĩa moorĩire kwanyu.
4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee; as for Moab, be thou a covert to him from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is brought to nought, spoiling ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Rekei andũ a Moabi arĩa mehithĩte kwanyu maikare na inyuĩ; tuĩkai kĩĩgitio kĩao kuuma kũrĩ mwanangani.” Mũhinyanĩrĩria nĩagakinya mũthia, naguo mwanangĩko ũthire; nake mũũgiti nĩakabuĩria kuuma bũrũri-inĩ.
5 And a throne shall be established in mercy, and one shall sit thereon in truth, in the tent of David; judging, and seeking judgment, and swift to do righteousness.
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab, [that] he is very proud; even of his arrogancy, and his pride, and his wrath; his boastings are nought.
Nĩtũiguĩte ũhoro wa mwĩtĩĩo wa Moabi: tũkaigua ũhoro wa mwĩtĩĩo wake mũkĩru na mwĩĩkĩrĩro wake, tũkaigua ũhoro wa mwĩtĩĩo wake na rũngʼathio rwake; no rĩrĩ, mwĩgaatho ũcio wake no wa tũhũ.
7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the raisin-cakes of Kir-hareseth shall ye mourn, utterly stricken.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio andũ a Moabi nĩkũgirĩka maragirĩka, maragirĩka hamwe nĩ ũndũ wa Moabi. Cakayai na mũnyiitwo nĩ kĩeha nĩ ũndũ wa andũ a Kiri-Haresethi.
8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah; the lords of the nations have broken down the choice plants thereof; they reached even unto Jazer, they wandered into the wilderness; her branches were spread abroad, they passed over the sea.
Mĩgũnda ya Heshiboni nĩĩrahooha, o na mĩthabibũ ya Sibima o nayo nĩĩrahooha. Aathani a ndũrĩrĩ nĩmarangĩrĩirie mĩthabibũ ĩrĩa mĩega mũno, ĩrĩa hĩndĩ ĩmwe yakinyĩte Jazeri, na ĩgatheerema yerekeire werũ-inĩ. Thuuna ciayo ciatambĩte igakinya o iria-inĩ.
9 Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for upon thy summer fruits and upon thy harvest the [battle] shout is fallen.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩndĩrarĩra, ngarĩra o ta Jazeri, ngĩrĩrĩra mĩthabibũ ya Sibima. Wee Heshiboni, o nawe Eleale, ngũmũihũgia na maithori! Tondũ mbugĩrĩrio cia gĩkeno kĩanyu nĩ ũndũ wa matunda manyu marĩa meruĩte, na nĩ ũndũ wa magetha manyu ma ngano nĩithirĩte.
10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither joyful noise: no treader shall tread out wine in the presses; I have made the [vintage] shout to cease.
Gũtirĩ gĩkeno kana ndũhiũ mĩgũnda-inĩ ya matunda; gũtirĩ mũndũ ũraina kana akoigĩrĩria mĩgũnda-inĩ ya mĩthabibũ, gũtirĩ mũndũ ũrahiha ndibei kĩhihĩro-inĩ, nĩgũkorwo nĩndũmĩte ngemi cia magetha ciage kũiguuo.
11 Wherefore my bowels sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir-heres.
Ngoro yakwa nĩĩracakaĩra Moabi o ta kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto, nayo ngoro yakwa ĩgacaĩra Kiri-Heresethu.
12 And it shall come to pass, when Moab presenteth himself, when he wearieth himself upon the high place, and shall come to his sanctuary to pray, that he shall not prevail.
Rĩrĩa andũ a Moabi maathiĩ kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru makahooe, no kwĩnogia menogagia; hĩndĩ ĩrĩa maathiĩ ihooero-inĩ rĩao kũhooya, no wĩra wa tũhũ marutaga.
13 This is the word that the LORD spake concerning Moab in time past.
Ũyũ nĩguo ũhoro ũrĩa Jehova aarĩtie ũkoniĩ Moabi.
14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and of no account.
No rĩrĩ, rĩu Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: “Mĩaka ĩtatũ ĩtanathira, ĩtarĩtwo ta ũrĩa mĩaka ya mũndũ wandĩkĩtwo wĩra ĩrĩkanagĩrwo-rĩ, riiri wa Moabi hamwe na andũ ake othe nĩũkanyararwo, namo matigari make makorwo marĩ manini mũno na makahinyara.”
