< Isaiah 15 >
1 The burden of Moab. For in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to nought; for in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to nought.
Wach nofwenyore kuom jo-Moab ni: Ar manie Moab okethi, omuke ei otieno achiel! Kir manie Moab bende okethi, omuke ei otieno achiel!
2 He is gone up to Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep: Moab howleth over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads is baldness, every beard is cut off.
Jo-Dibon dhiyo e kargi mar lemo, gidhiyo e hembko mag-gi mondo giywagi; kendo jo-Moab goyo nduru nikech Nebo gi Medeba osekethi. Ngʼato ka ngʼato oliel wiye kod tike.
3 In their streets they gird themselves with sackcloth: on their housetops, and in their broad places, every one howleth, weeping abundantly.
E yore, girwako pien gugru; to ewi udi kod laru maduongʼ, giduto giywak ka gidengo kendo gingʼielore e lowo.
4 And Heshbon crieth out, and Elealeh; their voice is heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud; his soul trembleth within him.
Jo-Heshbon kod jo-Eleale ywak, kendo ywakgi winjore nyaka Jahaz. Kuom mano jolweny mag jo-Moab ywak kendo kihondko omakogi.
5 My heart crieth out for Moab; her nobles [flee] unto Zoar, to Eglath-shelishiyah: for by the ascent of Luhith with weeping they go up; for in the way of Horonaim they raise up a cry of destruction.
Chunya ywago jo-Moab; nimar ogandane ringo kadhi pondo Zoar, ma gichopo nyaka Eglath Shelishiya. Gidhi ka giluwo yo mochomo Luhith ka giywak, e yo madhi Horonaim giywak malit nikech kethruokgi.
6 For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the grass is withered away, the tender grass faileth, there is no green thing.
Pige mag Nimrim oseduono, kendo lum bende osener, kendo oboke orumo, maonge gimoro amora modongʼ ka ngʼich.
7 Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
Omiyo mwandu mane giseloso kendo kano negitingʼo magingʼadogo Holo ma Omburi otiye.
8 For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beer-elim.
Ywakgi winjore nyaka e tongʼ Moab, nduru margi chopo nyaka Eglaim, kendo dengo margi landore nyaka Beer Elim.
9 For the waters of Dimon are full of blood: for I will bring yet more upon Dimon, a lion upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
Pige mag Dimon opongʼ gi remo, to kata kamano named kelo masiche ne Dimon, ne joge maringo koa Moab mondo opondi kod jogo modongʼ e pinyno nomak gi sibuor.
