Hosea 2
1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
अपने भाइयों से 'अम्मी कहो, और अपनी बहनों से रुहामा।
2 Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: and let her put away her whoredoms from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
तुम अपनी माँ से हुज्जत करो — क्यूँकि न वह मेरी बीवी है, और न मैं उसका शौहर हूँ — वह अपनी बदकारी अपने सामने से, अपनी ज़िनाकारी अपने पिस्तानों से दूर करे;
3 lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst;
ऐसा न हो कि मैं उसे बेपर्दा करूँ, और उस तरह डाल दूँ जिस तरह वह अपनी पैदाइश के दिन थी, और उसको बियाबान और खु़श्क ज़मीन की तरह बना कर प्यास से मार डालूँ।
4 Yea, upon her children will I have no mercy; for they be children of whoredom.
मैं उसके बच्चों पर रहम न करूँगा, क्यूँकि वह हलालज़ादे नहीं हैं।
5 for their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
उनकी माँ ने धोखा किया; उनकी वालिदा ने रूस्याही की। क्यूँकि उसने कहा, 'मैं अपने यारों के पीछे जाऊँगी, जो मुझ को रोटी — पानी और ऊनी, और कतानी कपड़े और रौग़न — ओ — शरबत देते हैं।
6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and I will make a fence against her, that she shall not find her paths.
इसलिए देखो, मैं उसकी राह काँटों से बन्द करूँगा, और उसके सामने दीवार बना दूँगा, ताकि उसे रास्ता न मिले।
7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
और वह अपने यारों के पीछे जाएगी, पर उनसे जा न मिलेगी; और उनको ढूँडेगी पर न पाएगी। तब वह कहेगी, 'मैं अपने पहले शौहर के पास वापस जाऊँगी, क्यूँकि मेरी वह हालत अब से बेहतर थी।
8 For she did not know that I gave her the corn, and the wine, and the oil, and multiplied unto her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
क्यूँकि उसने न जाना कि मैं ने ही उसे ग़ल्ला — ओ — मय और रौग़न दिया, और सोने चाँदी की फ़िरवानी बख़्शी जिसको उन्होंने बा'ल पर ख़र्च किया
9 Therefore will I take back my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.
इसलिए मैं अपना ग़ल्ला फ़सल के वक़्त, और अपनी मय को उसके मौसम में वापस ले लूँगा, और अपने ऊनी और कतानी कपड़े जो उसकी सत्रपोशी करते हैं, छीन लूँगा।
10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
अब मैं उसकी फ़ाहिशागरी उसके यारों के सामने फ़ाश करूँगा, और कोई उसको मेरे हाथ से नहीं छुड़ाएगा।
11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feasts, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn assemblies.
अलावा इसके मैं उसकी तमाम ख़ुशियों, और ज़शनो और नए चाँद और सबत के दिनों और तमाम मु'अय्यन 'ईदों को ख़त्म करूँगा।
12 And I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my hire that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
और मैं उसके अंगूर और अंजीर के दरख़्तों को, जिनके बारे में उसने कहा है, ये मेरी उजरत है, जो मेरे यारों ने मुझे दी है,' बर्बाद करूँगा और उनको जंगल बनाऊँगा, और जंगली जानवर उनको खाएँगे।
13 And I will visit upon her the days of the Baalim, unto which she burned incense; when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.
और ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, मैं उसे बा'लीम के दिनों के लिए सज़ा दूँगा जिनमें उसने उनके लिए ख़ुशबू जलाई, जब वह बालियों और ज़ेवरों से आरास्ता होकर अपने यारों के पीछे गई, और मुझे भूल गई।
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
तोभी मैं उसे फ़रेफ़्ता कर लूँगा, और बियावान में लाकर, उससे तसल्ली की बातें कहूँगा।
15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall make answer there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
और वहाँ से उसके ताकिस्तान उसे दूँगा, और 'अकूर की वादी भी, ताकि वह उम्मीद का दरवाज़ा हो, और वह वहाँ गाया करेगी जैसे अपनी जवानी के दिनों में, और मुल्क — ए — मिस्र से निकल आने के दिनों में गाया करती थी
16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
और ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, तब वह मुझे ईशी कहेगी और फिर बाली न कहेगी।
17 For I will take away the names of the Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name.
क्यूँकि मैं बा'लीम के नाम उसके मुँह से दूर करूँगा, और फिर कभी उनका नाम न लिया जाएगा।
18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and will make them to lie down safely.
तब मैं उनके लिए जंगली जानवरों, और हवा के परिन्दों, और ज़मीन पर रेंगने वालों से 'अहद करूँगा; और कमान और तलवार और लड़ाई को मुल्क से नेस्त करूँगा, और लोगों को अम्न — ओ — अमान से लेटने का मौक़ा दूँगा।
19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
और तुझे अपनी अबदी नामज़द करूँगा। हाँ, तुझे सदाक़त और 'अदालत और शफ़क़त — ओ — रहमत से अपनी नामज़द करूँगा।
20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.
मैं तुझे वफ़ादारी से अपनी नामज़द बनाऊँगा और तू ख़ुदावन्द को पहचानेगी।
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will answer, saith the LORD, I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth;
“और उस वक़्त मैं सुनूँगा, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, मैं आसमान की सुनूँगा और आसमान ज़मीन की सुनेगा;
22 and the earth shall answer the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall answer Jezreel.
और ज़मीन अनाज और मय और तेल की सुनेगी, और वह यज़र'एल की सुनेंगे;
23 And I wilt sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, [Thou art] my God.
और मैं उसको उस सरज़मीन मेंअपने लिए बोऊँगा। और लूरहामा पर रहम करूँगा, और लो'अम्मी से कहूँगा, 'तुम मेरे लोग हो; और वह कहेंगे, 'ऐ हमारे ख़ुदा।”
