Hosea 12
1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he continually multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.
१एप्रैम वायु चराता और पुरवाई का पीछा करता रहता है; वह लगातार झूठ और उत्पात को बढ़ाता रहता है; वे अश्शूर के साथ वाचा बाँधते और मिस्र में तेल भेजते हैं।
2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
२यहूदा के साथ भी यहोवा का मुकद्दमा है, और वह याकूब को उसके चाल चलन के अनुसार दण्ड देगा; उसके कामों के अनुसार वह उसको बदला देगा।
3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he had power with God:
३अपनी माता की कोख ही में उसने अपने भाई को अड़ंगा मारा, और बड़ा होकर वह परमेश्वर के साथ लड़ा।
4 yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him at Beth-el, and there he spake with us;
४वह दूत से लड़ा, और जीत भी गया, वह रोया और उसने गिड़गिड़ाकर विनती की। बेतेल में वह उसको मिला, और वहीं उसने हम से बातें की।
5 even the LORD, the God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.
५यहोवा, सेनाओं का परमेश्वर, जिसका स्मरण यहोवा नाम से होता है।
6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
६इसलिए तू अपने परमेश्वर की ओर फिर; कृपा और न्याय के काम करता रह, और अपने परमेश्वर की बाट निरन्तर जोहता रह।
7 [He is] a trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
७वह व्यापारी है, और उसके हाथ में छल का तराजू है; अंधेर करना ही उसको भाता है।
8 And Ephraim said, Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth: in all my labours they shall find in me none iniquity that were sin.
८एप्रैम कहता है, “मैं धनी हो गया, मैंने सम्पत्ति प्राप्त की है; मेरे किसी काम में ऐसा अधर्म नहीं पाया गया जिससे पाप लगे।”
9 But I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.
९मैं यहोवा, मिस्र देश ही से तेरा परमेश्वर हूँ; मैं फिर तुझे तम्बुओं में ऐसा बसाऊँगा जैसा नियत पर्व के दिनों में हुआ करता है।
10 I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.
१०मैंने भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के द्वारा बातें की, और बार बार दर्शन देता रहा; और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के द्वारा दृष्टान्त कहता आया हूँ।
11 Is Gilead iniquity? they are altogether vanity; in Gilgal they sacrifice bullocks: yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the field.
११क्या गिलाद कुकर्मी नहीं? वे पूरे छली हो गए हैं। गिलगाल में बैल बलि किए जाते हैं, वरन् उनकी वेदियाँ उन ढेरों के समान हैं जो खेत की रेघारियों के पास हों।
12 And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep].
१२याकूब अराम के मैदान में भाग गया था; वहाँ इस्राएल ने एक पत्नी के लिये सेवा की, और पत्नी के लिये वह चरवाही करता था।
13 And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
१३एक भविष्यद्वक्ता के द्वारा यहोवा इस्राएल को मिस्र से निकाल ले आया, और भविष्यद्वक्ता ही के द्वारा उसकी रक्षा हुई।
14 Ephraim hath provoked to anger most bitterly: therefore shall his blood be left upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
१४एप्रैम ने अत्यन्त रिस दिलाई है; इसलिए उसका किया हुआ खून उसी के ऊपर बना रहेगा, और उसने अपने परमेश्वर के नाम में जो बट्टा लगाया है, वह उसी को लौटाया जाएगा।
