Hebrews 10
1 For the law having a shadow of the good [things] to come, not the very image of the things, they can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.
Porque, tendo a lei a sombra dos bens futuros, e não a imagem exacta das coisas, nunca, pelos mesmos sacrificios que continuamente se offerecem cada anno, pode aperfeiçoar os que a elles se chegam.
2 Else would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more conscience of sins?
D'outra maneira, não cessariam de se offerecer, porquanto, purificados uma vez os ministrantes, nunca mais teriam consciencia de peccado.
3 But in those [sacrifices] there is a remembrance made of sins year by year.
N'elles, porém, cada anno se faz commemoração dos peccados.
4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
Porque é impossivel que o sangue dos toiros e dos bodes tire os peccados.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;
Pelo que, entrando no mundo, diz: Sacrificio e offerta não quizeste, mas corpo me preparaste;
6 In whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hadst no pleasure:
Holocaustos e oblações pelo peccado não te agradaram.
7 Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.
Então disse: Eis aqui venho (no principio do livro está escripto de mim), para fazer, ó Deus, a tua vontade.
8 Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law),
Dizendo acima: Sacrificio e offerta, e holocaustos e oblações pelo peccado não quizeste, nem te agradaram (os quaes se offerecem segundo a lei).
9 then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Então disse: Eis aqui venho, para fazer, ó Deus, a tua vontade. Tira o primeiro, para estabelecer o segundo.
10 By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Na qual vontade somos sanctificados pela oblação do corpo de Jesus Christo, feita uma vez.
11 And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins:
E assim todo o sacerdote apparece cada dia, ministrando e offerecendo muitas vezes os mesmos sacrificios, que nunca podem tirar os peccados.
12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Mas este, havendo offerecido um sacrificio pelos peccados, está assentado para sempre á dextra de Deus;
13 from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet.
D'aqui em diante esperando até que os seus inimigos sejam postos por escabello de seus pés.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Porque com uma oblação aperfeiçoou para sempre os que são sanctificados.
15 And the Holy Ghost also beareth witness to us: for after he hath said,
E tambem o Espirito Sancto nol-o testifica, porque depois de haver antes dito:
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their mind also will I write them; [then saith he],
Este é o concerto que farei com elles depois d'aquelles dias, diz o Senhor: Porei as minhas leis em seus corações, e as escreverei em seus entendimentos: então diz
17 And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
E jámais me lembrarei de seus peccados e de suas iniquidades.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Ora, onde ha remissão d'estes, não ha mais oblação pelo peccado.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
Tendo pois, irmãos, ousadia para entrar no sanctuario, pelo sangue de Jesus,
20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Pelo novo e vivo caminho que elle nos consagrou, pelo véu, isto é, pela sua carne,
21 and [having] a great priest over the house of God;
E tendo um grande sacerdote sobre a casa de Deus,
22 let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our body washed with pure water:
Cheguemo-nos com verdadeiro coração, em inteira certeza de fé; tendo os corações purificados da má consciencia, e o corpo lavado com agua limpa
23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:
Retenhamos firmes a confissão da nossa esperança; porque fiel é o que prometteu.
24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;
E consideremo-nos uns aos outros, para nos estimularmos á caridade e boas obras:
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting [one another]; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
Não deixando a nossa reunião, como é o costume de alguns, antes admoestando-nos uns aos outros; e tanto mais, quando virdes que se vae chegando aquelle dia.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,
Porque, se peccarmos voluntariamente, depois de termos recebido o conhecimento da verdade, já não resta mais sacrificio pelos peccados,
27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.
Mas uma certa expectação horrivel de juizo, e ardor de fogo, que ha de devorar os adversarios.
28 A man that hath set at nought Moses’ law dieth without compassion on [the word of] two or three witnesses:
Quebrantando algum a lei de Moysés, morre sem misericordia, só pela palavra de duas ou tres testemunhas:
29 of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
De quanto maior castigo cuidaes vós será julgado digno aquelle que pisar o Filho de Deus, e tiver por profano o sangue do testamento, com que foi sanctificado, e fizer aggravo ao Espirito da graça?
30 For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Porque bem conhecemos aquelle que disse: Minha é a vingança, eu darei a recompensa, diz o Senhor. E outra vez: O Senhor julgará o seu povo.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Horrenda coisa é cair nas mãos do Deus vivo.
32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were enlightened, ye endured a great conflict of sufferings;
Lembrae-vos, porém, dos dias passados, em que, depois de serdes illuminados, supportastes grande combate de afflicções;
33 partly, being made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, becoming partakers with them that were so used.
Em parte fostes feitos espectaculo com vituperios e tribulações, e em parte fostes participantes com os que assim foram tratados.
34 For ye both had compassion on them that were in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions, knowing that ye yourselves have a better possession and an abiding one.
Porque tambem vos compadecestes das minhas prisões, e com gozo permittistes o roubo dos vossos bens, sabendo que em vós mesmos tendes nos céus uma possessão melhor e permanente.
35 Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward.
Não rejeiteis pois a vossa confiança, que tem grande remuneração de galardão.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
Porque necessitaes de paciencia, para que, depois de haverdes feito a vontade de Deus, possaes alcançar a promessa.
37 For yet a very little while, He that cometh shall come, and shall not tarry.
Porque ainda um poucochinho, e o que ha de vir virá, e não tardará.
38 But my righteous one shall live by faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him.
Mas o justo viverá da fé; e, se alguem se retirar, a minha alma não tem prazer n'elle.
39 But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition; but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.
Nós, porém, não somos d'aquelles que se retiram para a perdição, mas d'aquelles que crêem para a conservação da alma
