Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Am Anfang schuf Gott den Himmel und die Erde.
2 And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Und die Erde war eine Leere und Öde, und Finsternis war auf den Angesichten des Abgrunds; und der Geist Gottes schwebte über den Wassern.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Und Gott sprach: Es werde Licht, und es ward Licht.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Und Gott sah das Licht, daß es gut war, und Gott schied zwischen dem Licht und zwischen der Finsternis.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
Und Gott nannte das Licht Tag und die Finsternis nannte Er Nacht; und es war Abend und es war Morgen, der erste Tag.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Und Gott sprach: Es sei eine Ausbreitung inmitten der Wasser und scheide zwischen den Wassern für die Wasser.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
Und Gott machte die Ausbreitung und schied zwischen den Wassern die unter der Ausbreitung und den Wassern die über der Ausbreitung waren, und ward also.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
Und Gott nannte die Ausbreitung Himmel; und es war Abend und es war Morgen der zweite Tag.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Und Gott sprach: Die Wasser unter dem Himmel sammeln sich an einen Ort, und das Trockene erscheine. Und es ward also.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Und Gott nannte das Trockene Erde, und die Sammlung der Wasser nannte Er Meer. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
11 And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herb yielding seed, [and] fruit tree bearing fruit after its kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so.
Und Gott sprach: Die Erde lasse hervorkeimen das junge Grün, das Kraut, das Samen säet, den Fruchtbaum, der Frucht trägt nach seiner Art, worin sein Samen ist auf der Erde. Und es ward also.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed after its kind, and tree bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
Und die Erde brachte hervor das junge Grün, das Kraut, das Samen säet nach seiner Art, und den Baum, der Frucht trägt worin sein Samen ist nach seiner Art. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
Und es war Abend und es war Morgen, der dritte Tag.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:
Und Gott sprach: Es seien Lichter an der Ausbreitung des Himmels, zu scheiden zwischen dem Tag und zwischen der Nacht, und sollen sein zu Zeichen und zu bestimmten Zeiten, und zu Tagen und Jahren;
15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Und sie seien zu Lichtern an der Ausbreitung des Himmels, zu leuchten auf der Erde. Und es ward also.
16 And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.
Und Gott machte die zwei großen Lichter, das große Licht am Tag zu herrschen, und das kleine Licht bei Nacht zu herrschen, und die Sterne.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Und Gott gab sie an die Ausbreitung des Himmels, zu leuchten auf der Erde,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Und zu herrschen am Tage und bei Nacht, und zu scheiden zwischen dem Licht und zwischen der Finsternis. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
Und es war Abend und es war Morgen, der vierte Tag.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Und Gott sprach: Es wimmle das Wasser vom Gewimmel, von der lebendigen Seele und das Gevögel fliege über der Erde, über die Angesichte der Ausbreitung der Himmel.
21 And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kinds, and every winged fowl after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
Und Gott schuf die großen Walfische, und jede lebendige Seele, die da kriecht, wovon die Wasser wimmeln, nach ihrer Art, und alles Gevögel, das da Flügel hat, nach seiner Art. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
Und Gott segnete sie und sprach: Seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und füllet die Wasser in den Meeren, und das Gevögel mehre sich auf Erden.
23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
Und es war Abend und es war Morgen, der fünfte Tag.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind: and it was so.
Und Gott sprach: Die Erde bringe hervor die lebendige Seele nach ihrer Art, Vieh und Kriechtier und das wilde Tier der Erde nach seiner Art. Und es ward also.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
Und Gott machte das wilde Tier der Erde nach seiner Art, und das Vieh nach seiner Art und alles Kriechtier auf dem Erdboden nach seiner Art. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Und Gott sprach: Lasset uns den Menschen machen in unser Bild, nach unserer Ähnlichkeit, und laßt sie beherrschen die Fische des Meeres und das Gevögel der Himmel und das Vieh und die ganze Erde und alles Kriechtier, das auf der Erde kriecht.
27 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Und Gott schuf den Menschen in Sein Bild, in das Bild Gottes schuf Er ihn, männlich und weiblich schuf Er sie.
28 And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Und Gott segnete sie, und Gott sprach zu ihnen: Seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und füllet die Erde und machet sie euch untertan und beherrschet den Fisch des Meeres und das Gevögel der Himmel und alles wilde Tier, das auf der Erde kriecht.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat:
Und Gott sprach: Siehe, Ich gebe euch alles Kraut, das Samen säet, auf den Angesichten der ganzen Erde, und jeglichen Baum, an dem Frucht ist; der Baum, der die Samen säet, sei euch zur Speise.
30 and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Und allem Getier der Erde und allem Gevögel des Himmels, und allem, das auf Erden kriecht, in dem eine lebendige Seele ist, gebe Ich alles grüne Kraut zur Speise. Und es ward so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Und Gott sah alles, was Er gemacht hatte, und siehe, es war sehr gut. Und es war Abend und es war Morgen, der sechste Tag.
