Genesis 36
1 Now these are the generations of Esau (the same is Edom).
Torej to so rodovi Ezava, ki je Edóm.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
Ezav je svoje žene vzel iz Kánaana: Ado, hčer Hetejca Elóna, Oholibámo, hčer Anája, hčer Hivéjca Cibóna
3 and Basemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
in Basemáto, Izmaelovo hčer, Nebajótovo sestro.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Basemath bare Reuel;
Ada je Ezavu rodila Elifáza, Basemáta je rodila Reguéla,
5 and Oholibamah bare Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
Oholibáma je rodila Jeúša, Jaláma in Koraha. To so Ezavovi sinovi, ki so se mu rodili v kánaanski deželi.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan; and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.
Ezav je vzel svoje žene, svoje sinove, svoje hčere, vse osebe svoje hiše, svojo živino, vse svoje živali in vse svoje imetje, ki ga je pridobil v kánaanski deželi in odšel v deželo izpred obličja svojega brata Jakoba.
7 For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojournings could not bear them because of their cattle.
Kajti njunih bogastev je bilo preveč, da bi mogla prebivati skupaj. Dežela, v kateri sta bila tujca, ju ni mogla podpirati zaradi njune živine.
8 And Esau dwelt in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
Tako je Ezav prebival na gorovju Seír. Ezav je Edóm.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
To so rodovi Ezava, očeta Edómcev na gorovju Seír.
10 these are the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
To so imena Ezavovih sinov: Elifáz, sin Ezavove žene Ade in Reguél, sin Ezavove žene Basemáte.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
Elifázovi sinovi so bili: Temán, Omár, Cefó, Gatám in Kenáz.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these are the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.
Timna je bila priležnica Ezavovemu sinu Elifázu in Elifázu je rodila Amáleka. To so bili sinovi Ezavove žene Ade.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Basemath Esau’s wife.
To so sinovi Reguéla: Nahat, Zerah, Šamá in Mizá. To so bili sinovi Ezavove žene Basemáte.
14 And these were the sons of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
Ti so bili sinovi Ezavove žene Oholibáme, hčere Anája, Cibónove hčere; Ezavu je rodila Jeúša, Jaláma in Koraha.
15 These are the dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
To so bili vojvode Ezavovih sinov. Sinovi Elifáza, prvorojenega Ezavovega sina: vojvoda Temán, vojvoda Omár, vojvoda Cefó, vojvoda Kenáz,
16 duke Korah, duke Gatam, duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Adah.
vojvoda Korah, vojvoda Gatám in vojvoda Amálek. To so vojvode, ki so izšli iz Elifáza v deželi Edóm. To so bili Adini sinovi.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Basemath Esau’s wife.
To so sinovi Ezavovega sina Reguéla: vojvoda Nahat, vojvoda Zerah, vojvoda Šamá in vojvoda Mizá. To so vojvode, ki so izšli iz Reguéla v Edómovi deželi. To so sinovi Ezavove žene Basemáte.
18 And these are the sons of Oholibamah Esau’s wife; duke Jeush, duke Jalam, duke Korah: these are the dukes that came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
To pa so sinovi Ezavove žene Oholibáme: vojvoda Jeúš, vojvoda Jalám, vojvoda Korah. To so bili vojvode, ki so izšli iz Ezavove žene Oholibáme, Anájeve hčere.
19 These are the sons of Esau, and these are their dukes: the same is Edom.
To so Ezavovi sinovi, ki je Edóm in to so njihove vojvode.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land; Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,
To so sinovi Horéjca Seírja, ki je naselil deželo: Lotán, Šobál, Cibón, Anáj,
21 and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan: these are the dukes that came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
Dišón, Ecer in Dišán. To so vojvode Horéjcev, Seírjevi otroci v deželi Edóm.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
Lotánova sinova sta bila Horí in Hemám; Lotánova sestra pa je bila Timna.
23 And these are the children of Shobal; Alvan and Manahath and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
Šobálovi otroci so bili tile: Alván, Manáhat, Ebál, Šefo in Onám.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon; Aiah and Anah: this is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
To sta Cibónova otroka: oba, Ajá in Aná. To je bil ta Anáj, ki je našel mule v divjini, ko je pasel osle svojega očeta Cibóna.
25 And these are the children of Anah; Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
Anájeva otroka sta bila ta: Dišón in Oholibáma, Anájeva hči.
26 And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Cheran.
To so Dišónovi otroci: Hemdán, Ešbán, Jitrán in Kerán.
27 These are the children of Ezer; Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
Ecerjevi otroci so tile: Bilhán, Zaaván in Akán.
28 These are the children of Dishan; Uz and Aran.
Dišánova otroka sta tale [dva]: Uc in Arán.
29 These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,
To so vojvode, ki so izšli iz Horéjcev: vojvoda Lotán, vojvoda Šobál, vojvoda Cibón, vojvoda Anáj,
30 duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of the Horites, according to their dukes in the land of Seir.
vojvoda Dišón, vojvoda Ecer in vojvoda Dišán. To so vojvode, ki so izšli iz Horéjcev, med njihovimi vojvodami v deželi Seír.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
To so kralji, ki so kraljevali v edómski deželi, preden je katerikoli kralj kraljeval nad Izraelovimi otroki.
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
Beórjev sin Bela je kraljeval v Edómu in ime njegovega mesta je bilo Dinhába.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
Bela je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Zerahov sin Jobáb iz Bocre.
34 And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
Jobáb je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Hušám iz dežele Temáncev.
35 And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
Hušám je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Bedádov sin Hadád, ki je udaril Midján na moábskem polju in ime tega mesta je bilo Avít.
36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
Hadád je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Samlá iz Masréke.
37 And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.
Samlá je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Šaúl iz Rehobóta ob reki.
38 And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
Šaúl je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Ahbórjev sin Báal Hanán.
39 And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
Ahbórjev sin Báal Hanán je umrl in namesto njega je zakraljeval Hadár. Ime njegovega mesta je bilo Pagú in ime njegove žene je bilo Mehetabéla, hči Me-Zahábove hčere Matréde.
40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timna, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth;
To so imena vojvod, ki so izšli iz Ezava, glede na njihove družine, po njihovih krajih, po njihovih imenih: vojvoda Timná, vojvoda Alvá, vojvoda Jetét,
41 duke Oholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon;
vojvoda Oholibáma, vojvoda Elá, vojvoda Pinón,
42 duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar;
vojvoda Kenáz, vojvoda Temán, vojvoda Mibcár,
43 duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau the father of the Edomites.
vojvoda Magdiél, vojvoda Irám. To so edómski vojvode, glede na njihova prebivališča v deželi njihove posesti. On je Ezav, oče Edómcev.
