Ezekiel 8
1 And it came to in the sixth year, in the sixth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.
E sucedeu no sexto ano, no sexto [mês], aos cinco do mês, estando eu sentado em minha casa, e os anciãos de Judá estavam sentados diante de mim, que ali a mão do Senhor DEUS caiu sobre mim.
2 Then I beheld, and, lo, a likeness as the appearance of fire; from the appearance of his loins and downward, fire: and from his loins and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.
E olhei, e eis uma semelhança, com aparência de fogo; desde a aparência de sua cintura para baixo, era fogo; e desde sua cintura para cima, com a aparência de um resplendor, como a cor de âmbar.
3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner [court] that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
E estendeu a forma de uma mão, e tomou-me pelos cabelos de minha cabeça; e o espírito me levantou entre a terra e o céu, e me trouxe a Jerusalém em visões de Deus, até a entrada da porta de dentro que está voltada ao norte, onde estava o lugar da imagem do ciúme, que provoca ciúme.
4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.
E eis que a a glória do Deus de Israel estava ali, conforme a visão que eu tinha visto no vale.
5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, levanta agora teus olhos para o norte. E levantei meus olhos para o norte, e eis que a imagem do ciúme estava ao lado norte, junto à porta do altar, na entrada.
6 And he said unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel do commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but thou shalt again see yet other great abominations.
Então me disse: Filho do homem, vês tu o que eles estão fazendo? As grandes abominações que a casa de Israel faz aqui, para me afastar de meu santuário? Porém ainda voltarás a ver abominações maiores.
7 And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
E levou-me à porta do pátio; então olhei, e eis que havia um buraco na parede.
8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, cava agora naquela parede. E cavei na parede, e eis que havia uma porta.
9 And he said unto me, Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.
Então me disse: Entra, e vê as malignas abominações que eles fazem aqui.
10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
E entrei, e olhei, e eis toda figura de répteis, e animais abomináveis, e todos os ídolos da casa de Israel, que estavam pintados na parede ao redor.
11 And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and the odour of the cloud of incense went up.
E diante deles estavam setenta homens dos anciãos da casa de Israel, com Jazanias filho de Safã, que estava no meio deles, cada um com seu incensário em sua mão; e uma espessa nuvem de perfume subia.
12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, the LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
Então me disse: Filho do homem, viste as coisas que os anciãos da casa de Israel fazem nas trevas, cada um em suas câmaras pintadas? Pois eles dizem: O SENHOR não nos vê; o SENHOR abandonou a terra.
13 He said also unto me, Thou shalt again see yet other great abominations which they do.
E disse-me: Ainda voltarás a ver abominações maiores que estes fazem.
14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.
E me levou à entrada da porta da casa do SENHOR, que está ao lado norte; e eis ali mulheres que estavam sentadas, chorando a Tamuz.
15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? thou shalt again see yet greater abominations than these.
Então me disse: Viste [isto], filho do homem? Ainda voltarás a ver abominações maiores que estas.
16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
E ele me levou ao pátio de dentro da casa do SENHOR; e eis que estavam à entrada do templo do SENHOR, entre o pórtico e o altar, cerca de vinte e cinco homens, com suas costas voltadas ao templo do SENHOR e seus rostos ao oriente, e eles se prostravam ao oriente, para o sol.
17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Então me disse: Viste [isto], filho do homem? Por acaso é pouco para a casa de Judá fazer as abominações que fazem aqui? Pois eles têm enchido a terra de violência, e voltam a irritar-me, porque eis que põem o ramo em suas narinas.
18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Por isso eu também os tratarei com furor; meu olho não poupará, nem terei compaixão; e ainda que gritem em meus ouvidos com alta voz, mesmo assim não os ouvirei.
