Ezekiel 35
1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Y vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
2 Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
“Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra el monte de Seír, y profetiza contra él,
3 and say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.
y dile: “El Señor Yahvé dice: “He aquí que estoy contra ti, monte de Seír, y extenderé mi mano contra ti. Te convertiré en una desolación y en un asombro.
4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
Destruiré tus ciudades y quedarás desolada. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé.
5 Because thou hast had a perpetual enmity, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end:
“‘“Como has tenido una hostilidad perpetua, y has entregado a los hijos de Israel al poder de la espada en el tiempo de su calamidad, en el tiempo de la iniquidad del fin,
6 therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.
por lo tanto, vivo yo”, dice el Señor Yahvé, “te prepararé para la sangre, y la sangre te perseguirá. Puesto que no has odiado la sangre, la sangre te perseguirá.
7 Thus will I make mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation; and I will cut off from it him that passeth through and him that returneth.
Así convertiré el monte de Seír en un asombro y una desolación. Cortaré de él al que pase y al que regrese.
8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain: in thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy watercourses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
Llenaré sus montañas con sus muertos. Los muertos a espada caerán en sus colinas y en sus valles y en todos sus cursos de agua.
9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Te convertiré en una desolación perpetua, y tus ciudades no serán habitadas. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé.
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
“‘“Porque habéis dicho: ‘Estas dos naciones y estos dos países serán míos, y los poseeremos’, aunque Yahvé estaba allí,
11 therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast shewed out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.
por lo tanto, vivo yo — dice Yahvé —, haré conforme a vuestro enojo, y conforme a vuestra envidia que habéis mostrado por vuestro odio contra ellos; y me daré a conocer entre ellos cuando os juzgue.
12 And thou shalt know that I the LORD have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.
Sabrás que yo, Yahvé, he oído todas las injurias que has proferido contra los montes de Israel, diciendo: ‘Han sido desolados. Han sido entregados a nosotros para que los devoremos’.
13 And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard it.
Ustedes se han engrandecido contra mí con su boca y han multiplicado sus palabras contra mí. Lo he oído”.
14 Thus saith the Lord GOD: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
El Señor Yahvé dice: “Cuando toda la tierra se regocije, yo te desolaré.
15 As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Como te alegraste de la herencia de la casa de Israel porque estaba desolada, así haré contigo. Serás desolado, el monte Seir, y todo Edom, todo él. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.
