Ezekiel 3

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.

மேலும், அவர் என்னிடம், “மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ உன் முன்னால் இருப்பதைச் சாப்பிடு, இந்தப் புத்தகச்சுருளைச் சாப்பிட்டு. அதன்பின் இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரிடம் போய்ப் பேசு” என்றார்.

2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat the roll.

நான் என் வாயைத் திறந்தபோது, அவர் அந்த புத்தகச்சுருளை எனக்குச் சாப்பிடக் கொடுத்தார்.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

பின்பு அவர் என்னிடம், “மனுபுத்திரனே, நான் கொடுக்கும் இந்த புத்தகச்சுருளைச் சாப்பிடு. அதனால் உன் வயிற்றை நிரப்பு என்றார்.” எனவே அதை நான் சாப்பிட்டேன், அது என் வாய்க்குத் தேனைப்போல் தித்திப்பாக இருந்தது.

4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

பின்பு அவர் என்னிடம்: “மனுபுத்திரனே, இப்பொழுது நீ இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரிடம் போய் என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கூறு.

5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

புரியாத பேச்சும், கடினமான மொழியும் கொண்ட மக்களிடமல்ல, இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரிடத்திற்கே நீ அனுப்பப்படுகிறாய்.

6 not to many peoples of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, if I sent thee to them, they would hearken unto thee.

புரியாத பேச்சையும், உன்னால் விளங்கிக்கொள்ள முடியாத கடினமான மொழியையும் பேசுகிற திரளான மக்களிடத்தில் நான் உன்னை அனுப்பவில்லை. அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களிடம் உன்னை நான் அனுப்பியிருந்தால், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் உனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்திருப்பார்கள்.

7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are of an hard forehead and of a stiff heart.

ஆனால் இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரோ, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்க விருப்பமற்றவர்கள். ஆதலால் உனக்கும் அவர்கள் செவிகொடுக்கமாட்டார்கள். இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டார் அனைவரும் கல்நெஞ்சமும், பிடிவாதமும் உள்ளவர்களாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

8 Behold, I have made thy face hard against their faces, and thy forehead hard against their foreheads.

ஆனால் நான் உன்னையும் அவர்களைப்போல் இணங்காதவனாயும் கடினமானவனாயும் மாற்றுவேன்.

9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

உன் நெற்றியை கருங்கல்லிலும் பார்க்கக் கடினமான கல்லைப்போலாக்குவேன். அவர்கள் கலகம் செய்யும் குடும்பத்தாராய் இருந்தாலும், நீ அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இரு என்றார்.”

10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shalt speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

மேலும் அவர் என்னிடம், “மனுபுத்திரனே, நான் உன்னோடு பேசும் வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் கவனமாய்க் கேட்டு, அவைகளை உன் உள்ளத்திலே பதித்து வைத்துக்கொள்.

11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

இப்பொழுது நீ நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டிருக்கும் உன் சொந்த நாட்டு மக்களிடம் போய்ப் பேசு. அவர்கள் செவிகொடுத்தாலும், செவிகொடுக்காவிட்டாலும், ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா இவ்வாறு சொல்கிறார்,’ என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்றார்.”

12 Then the spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing, [saying], Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

அதன்பின் ஆவியானவர் என்னை உயரத்தூக்கினார். யெகோவாவின் மகிமை அவருடைய உறைவிடத்தில் துதிக்கப்படுவதாக என்று எனக்குப் பின்னாக அதிர்கின்ற ஒரு சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டேன்.

13 And [I heard] the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing.

அச்சத்தம், உயிரினங்களின் சிறகுகள் ஒன்றையொன்று உரசிக்கொண்டிருந்ததினாலும், அவற்றினருகேயிருந்த சக்கரங்கள் எழுப்பிய சத்தத்தினாலும் வந்த ஒரு அதிரும் சத்தம்.

14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away: and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

அப்பொழுது ஆவியானவர் என்னை உயர்த்தி, அங்கிருந்து கொண்டுபோனார். நான் மனக்கசப்புடனும் உள்ளத்தில் கோபத்துடனும் போனேன். யெகோவாவின் வலிமையான கரமும் என்மீது இருந்தது.

15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel-abib, that dwelt by the river Chebar, and to where they dwelt; and I sat there astonied among them seven days.

நான் கேபார் நதிக்கரையில் அமைந்திருந்த தெலாபீப் என்னுமிடத்தில் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டிருந்தவர்களிடம் வந்துசேர்ந்தேன். அங்கே அவர்கள் மத்தியில் ஏழு நாட்கள் மனப்பாரத்தோடு உட்கார்ந்திருந்தேன்.

16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

ஏழுநாட்களின் முடிவில் யெகோவாவினுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது.

17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

“மனுபுத்திரனே, நான் உன்னை இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாருக்குக் காவலாளியாக நியமித்திருக்கிறேன். ஆதலால் நீ, நான் சொல்லும் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எனது எச்சரிப்பைக் கொடு.

18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood wilt I require at thine hand.

நான் கொடியவன் ஒருவனிடம், ‘நீ நிச்சயமாய் சாவாய்,’ என கூறும்போது நீ அவனை எச்சரிக்கும்படியாகவும், அவன் தன் தீய வழிகளிலிருந்து விலகி தன்னைக் காக்கும்படியாகவும், நீ அவனிடம் பேசாமற்போனால், அந்தக் கொடியவன் தன் பாவத்திலே மரிப்பான். அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழிக்கு உன்னிடமே நான் கணக்குக்கேட்பேன்.

19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

ஆனால் அவனை நீ எச்சரித்தும், அவன் தனது கொடுமையையும் தீயவழிகளையும்விட்டுத் திரும்பாமற் போவானாயின், அவன் தனது பாவத்திலேயே மரிப்பான். ஆனால் நீயோ உன்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்வாய்.

20 Again, when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

“மேலும் நீதியுள்ள ஒருவன் தன் நீதியிலிருந்து வழுவி, தீமையானவற்றைச் செய்யும்போது, அவனுக்கு முன்னால் தடையொன்றை வைப்பேன். அப்பொழுது அவன் மரிப்பான். நீ அவனை எச்சரியாதபடியினால், அவன் தனது பாவத்திலேயே மரிப்பான். அவன் செய்த நற்காரியங்கள் நினைக்கப்படுவதில்லை; அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழிக்கு நான் உன்னிடமே கணக்குக்கேட்பேன்.

21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning; and thou hast delivered thy soul.

ஆனால் அந்த நீதியுள்ள மனிதன், பாவம் செய்யாதபடி அவனை நீ எச்சரித்ததினால் அவன் பாவம் செய்யாது விடுவானாயின், உண்மையாகவே அவன் பிழைப்பான். ஏனெனில் உன் எச்சரிப்பை அவன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டானே. நீயும் உனது உயிரைக் காத்துக்கொள்வாய்” என்றார்.

22 And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

யெகோவாவின் கரம் அங்கே என்மீது இருந்தது. அவர் என்னிடம், “எழுந்து சமவெளிக்குப் புறப்பட்டுப்போ, அங்கே நான் உன்னோடு பேசுவேன்” என்றார்.

23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river Chebar: and I fell on my face.

எனவே நான் எழுந்து சமவெளிக்குப் போனேன். கேபார் நதியண்டையிலே கண்ட மகிமையைப் போலவே, யெகோவாவினுடைய மகிமை அங்கே நிற்பதை நான் கண்டேன். உடனே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தேன்.

24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet; and he spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

அப்பொழுது ஆவியானவர் எனக்குள் வந்து என்னைக் காலூன்றி நிற்கச்செய்தார். அவர் என்னோடு பேசி என்னிடம் கூறியதாவது: “நீ உன் வீட்டிற்குள்போய்ப் பூட்டிக்கொண்டிரு.

25 But thou, son of man, behold, they shall lay bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

மனுபுத்திரனே! அவர்கள் உன்னைக் கயிறுகளால் கட்டுவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நீ மக்களிடையே போகமுடியாதபடி கட்டப்பட்டிருப்பாய்.

26 and I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

மேலும், நான் உன் நாவை உன்னுடைய மேல்வாயோடே ஒட்டிக்கொள்ளும்படிச் செய்வேன். அதனால் நீ பேசாதிருப்பாய். அவர்கள் கலகம் செய்யும் குடும்பத்தாராயிருந்தபோதும், அவர்களைக் கண்டிக்க உன்னால் முடியாமலிருக்கும்.

27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD: He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

ஆனால் நான் உன்னோடு பேசும்போது உனது வாயைத் திறப்பேன். அப்பொழுது நீ, ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா இவ்வாறு சொல்லுகிறார் என அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்வாய்.’ கேட்பவன் கேட்கட்டும், கேட்க மறுப்பவன் கேட்காமலிருக்கட்டும். ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் கலகம் செய்யும் குடும்பத்தார் என்றார்.
