Exodus 19
1 In the third month after the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
௧இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட மூன்றாம் மாதம் முதலாம் நாளிலே, சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்திற்கு வந்துசேர்ந்தார்கள்.
2 And when they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the wilderness of Sinai, they pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
௨அவர்கள் ரெவிதீமிலிருந்து பயணம் புறப்பட்டு, சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்திற்கு வந்து, அந்த வனாந்திரத்தில் முகாமிட்டார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அங்கே மலைக்கு எதிராக முகாமிட்டார்கள்.
3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
௩மோசே தேவனிடம் ஏறிப்போனான்; யெகோவா மலையிலிருந்து அவனைக்கூப்பிட்டு: “நீ யாக்கோபு வம்சத்தார்களுக்குச் சொல்லவும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவும் வேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்,
4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
௪நான் எகிப்தியர்களுக்குச் செய்ததையும், நான் உங்களைக் கழுகுகளுடைய இறக்கைகளின்மேல் சுமந்து, உங்களை என் அருகிலே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டதையும், நீங்கள் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me from among all peoples: for all the earth is mine:
௫இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் என்னுடைய வாக்கை உள்ளபடி கேட்டு, என்னுடைய உடன்படிக்கையைக் கைக்கொள்வீர்களானால், எல்லா மக்களையும்விட நீங்களே எனக்கு சிறந்த மக்களாக இருப்பீர்கள்; பூமியெல்லாம் என்னுடையது.
6 and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
௬நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ராஜ்ஜியமும் பரிசுத்த தேசமுமாக இருப்பீர்கள் என்று நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களோடு சொல்லவேண்டிய வார்த்தைகள்” என்றார்.
7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which the LORD commanded him.
௭மோசே வந்து மக்களின் மூப்பர்களை அழைத்து, யெகோவா தனக்குக் கற்பித்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் சொன்னான்.
8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses reported the words of the people unto the LORD.
௮அதற்கு மக்கள் எல்லோரும் ஒன்றாக, “யெகோவா சொன்னவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்வோம் என்று மறுமொழி சொன்னார்கள். மக்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை மோசே யெகோவாவிடம் தெரிவித்தான்.
9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and may also believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
௯அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “நான் உன்னோடு பேசும்போது மக்கள் கேட்டு, உன்னை என்றைக்கும் விசுவாசிக்கும்படி, நான் கார்மேகத்தில் உன்னிடம் வருவேன்” என்றார். மக்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை மோசே யெகோவாவுக்குச் சொன்னான்.
10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,
௧0பின்னும் யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “நீ மக்களிடம் போய், இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்து; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆடைகளைத் துவைத்து,
11 and be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
௧௧மூன்றாம் நாளுக்கு ஆயத்தப்பட்டிருக்கவேண்டும்; மூன்றாம் நாளில் யெகோவா எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் வெளிப்படையாக சீனாய் மலையின்மேல் இறங்குவார்.
12 And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
௧௨மலையைச்சுற்றிலும் நீ ஒரு எல்லையைக் குறித்து, மக்கள் மலையில் ஏறாதபடியும், அதின் அடிவாரத்தைத் தொடாதபடியும் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்; மலையைத் தொடுகிறவன் எவனும் நிச்சயமாகவே கொல்லப்படுவான்.
13 no hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
௧௩ஒரு கையும் அதைத் தொடலாகாது; தொட்டால், நிச்சயமாகக் கல்லெறியப்பட்டு, அல்லது வில் எய்யப்பட்டுச் சாகவேண்டும்; மிருகமானாலும் சரி, மனிதனானாலும் சரி, உயிரோடு வைக்கப்படலாகாது; எக்காளம் நெடுந்தொனியாகத் தொனிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் மலையின் அடிவாரத்தில் வரவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their garments.
௧௪மோசே மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி, மக்களிடம் வந்து, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினான்; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய ஆடைகளைத் துவைத்தார்கள்.
15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not near a woman.
௧௫அவன் மக்களை நோக்கி: “மூன்றாம் நாளுக்கு ஆயத்தப்பட்டிருங்கள், மனைவியிடம் சேராமல் இருங்கள்” என்றான்.
16 And it came to pass on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of a trumpet exceeding loud; and all the people that were in the camp trembled.
௧௬மூன்றாம் நாள் அதிகாலையில் இடிமுழக்கங்களும் மின்னல்களும், மலையின்மேல் கார்மேகமும் மகா பலத்த எக்காள சத்தமும் உண்டானது; முகாமிலிருந்த மக்கள் எல்லோரும் நடுங்கினார்கள்.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
௧௭அப்பொழுது மக்கள் தேவனுக்கு எதிராகபோக, மோசே அவர்களை முகாமிலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தான்; அவர்கள் மலையின் அடிவாரத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.
18 And mount Sinai was altogether on smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
௧௮யெகோவா சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் அக்கினியில் இறங்கியதால், அது முழுவதும் புகைக்காடாக இருந்தது; அந்தப் புகை சூளையின் புகையைப்போல எழும்பியது; மலை முழுவதும் மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது.
19 And when the voice of the trumpet waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
௧௯எக்காளசத்தம் வரவர மிகவும் பலமாகத் தொனித்தது; மோசே பேசினான்; தேவன் அவனுக்கு வாக்கினால் மறுமொழி கொடுத்தார்.
20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, to the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
௨0யெகோவா சீனாய்மலையிலுள்ள உச்சியில் இறங்கினபோது, யெகோவா மோசேயை மலையின் உச்சியில் வரவழைத்தார்; மோசே ஏறிப்போனான்.
21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
௨௧அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “மக்கள் பார்ப்பதற்கு எல்லையைக் கடந்து கர்த்தரிடம் வராதபடியும், அவர்களில் அநேகர் அழிந்துபோகாதபடியும், நீ இறங்கிப்போய், அவர்களை உறுதியாக எச்சரி.
22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
௨௨யெகோவாவின் சமுகத்தில் வருகிற ஆசாரியர்களும், யெகோவா தங்களை அழிக்காதபடி, தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou didst charge us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
௨௩அப்பொழுது மோசே யெகோவாவை நோக்கி: “மலையைச் சுற்றிலும் எல்லையைக் குறித்து, அதைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள் என்று தேவரீர் எங்களை உறுதியாக எச்சரித்திருக்கிறீர்; ஆகையால், மக்கள் சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் ஏறிவரமாட்டார்கள்” என்றான்.
24 And the LORD said unto him, Go, get thee down; and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
௨௪யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “நீ இறங்கிப்போ; பின்பு நீயும் ஆரோனும் கூடி ஏறிவாருங்கள்; ஆசாரியர்களும், மக்களும், யெகோவா தங்களை அழிக்காதபடி, எல்லையைக் கடந்து யெகோவாவிடம் வராமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
25 So Moses went down unto the people, and told them.
௨௫அப்படியே மோசே இறங்கி மக்களிடம் போய், அதை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னான்.
