Deuteronomy 32
1 Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth:
൧ആകാശമേ, ചെവിതരുക; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും; ഭൂമി എന്റെ വായിൻ വാക്കുകളെ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew; As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb:
൨മഴപോലെ എന്റെ ഉപദേശം പൊഴിയും; എന്റെ വചനം മഞ്ഞുപോലെയും ഇളമ്പുല്ലിന്മേൽ പൊടിമഴപോലെയും സസ്യത്തിന്മേൽ മാരിപോലെയും ചൊരിയും.
3 For I will proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
൩ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം ഘോഷിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന് മഹത്വം കൊടുക്കുവിൻ.
4 The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are judgment: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.
൪യഹോവയാകുന്നു പാറ; അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി അത്യുത്തമം. അവന്റെ വഴികൾ ഒക്കെയും ന്യായം; അവൻ വിശ്വസ്തതയുള്ള ദൈവം, വ്യാജമില്ലാത്തവൻ; നീതിയും നേരുമുള്ളവൻ തന്നെ.
5 They have dealt corruptly with him, [they are] not his children, [it is] their blemish; [They are] a perverse and crooked generation.
൫അവർ അവനോട് വഷളത്തം കാണിച്ചു: അവർ സ്വയം കളങ്കപ്പെടുത്തിയതിനാൽ അവന്റെ മക്കളല്ല; വക്രതയും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറ തന്നെ.
6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee.
൬ഭോഷത്തവും അജ്ഞതയുമുള്ള ജനമേ, ഇങ്ങനെയോ നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയ്ക്കു പകരം കൊടുക്കുന്നത്? അവനല്ലോ നിന്റെ പിതാവ്, നിന്റെ ഉടയവൻ. അവനല്ലോ നിന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും രക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവൻ.
7 Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will shew thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee.
൭പൂർവ്വദിവസങ്ങളെ ഓർക്കുക: മുൻ തലമുറകളുടെ സംവത്സരങ്ങളെ ചിന്തിക്കുക; നിന്റെ പിതാവിനോട് ചോദിക്കുക, അവൻ അറിയിച്ചുതരും; നിന്റെ വൃദ്ധന്മാരോട് ചോദിക്കുക, അവർ പറഞ്ഞുതരും.
8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.
൮മഹോന്നതൻ ജാതികൾക്ക് അവകാശം വിഭാഗിക്കുകയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ വേർപിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിനു തക്കവണ്ണം ജനതകളുടെ അതിർത്തികൾ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.
9 For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
൯യഹോവയുടെ ഓഹരി അവന്റെ ജനവും, യാക്കോബ് അവന്റെ അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു.
10 He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He kept him as the apple of his eye:
൧൦താൻ അവനെ മരുഭൂമിയിലും ഓളി കേൾക്കുന്ന ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തിലും കണ്ടെത്തി. അവനെ ചുറ്റി പരിപാലിച്ചു; കണ്മണിപോലെ അവനെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു.
11 As an eagle that stirreth up her nest, That fluttereth over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bare them on his pinions:
൧൧കഴുകൻ തന്റെ കൂടനക്കി കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്കു മീതെ പറക്കും പോലെ തൻ ചിറകു വിരിച്ച് അവനെ എടുത്ത് തന്റെ ചിറകിന്മേൽ അവനെ വഹിച്ചു.
12 The LORD alone did lead him, And there was no strange god with him.
൧൨യഹോവ തനിയെ അവനെ നടത്തി; അവനോടുകൂടി അന്യദൈവം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he did eat the increase of the field; And he made him to suck honey out of the rock, And oil out of the flinty rock;
൧൩അവൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉന്നതങ്ങളിൽ അവനെ വാഹനമേറ്റി; നിലത്തെ അനുഭവംകൊണ്ട് അവൻ ഉപജീവിച്ചു. അവനെ പാറയിൽനിന്നുള്ള തേനും തീക്കല്ലിൽനിന്നുള്ള എണ്ണയും കുടിപ്പിച്ചു.
14 Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, With fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the fat of kidneys of wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou drankest wine.
൧൪പശുക്കളുടെ വെണ്ണയും ആടുകളുടെ പാലും ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടികളുടെ മേദസ്സും ബാശാനിലെ ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെയും കോലാടുകളെയും ഗോതമ്പിൻ കാമ്പും അവന് കൊടുത്തു; നീ മുന്തിരിയുടെ രക്തമായ വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു.
15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek: Then he forsook God which made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
൧൫യെശുരൂനോ പുഷ്ടിവച്ചപ്പോൾ മത്സരിച്ചു; നീ പുഷ്ടിവച്ച്, കനത്തു തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. തന്നെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ദൈവത്തെ അവൻ ത്യജിച്ച്; തന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ പാറയെ നിരസിച്ചു.
16 They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods], With abominations provoked they him to anger.
൧൬അവർ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളാൽ അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു, മ്ലേച്ഛതകളാൽ അവനെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിച്ചു.
17 They sacrificed unto demons, [which were] no God, To gods whom they knew not, To new [gods] that came up of late, Whom your fathers dreaded not.
൧൭അവർ ദുർഭൂതങ്ങൾക്ക്, ദൈവമല്ലാത്തവയ്ക്ക്, തങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്ത ദേവന്മാർക്കു തന്നെ ബലികഴിച്ചു; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ അവയെ ഭജിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അവ നൂതനമായി ഉത്ഭവിച്ച മൂർത്തികൾ അത്രേ.
18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
൧൮നിന്നെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച പാറയെ നീ വിസ്മരിച്ചു; നിന്നെ ഉല്പാദിപ്പിച്ച ദൈവത്തെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
19 And the LORD saw [it], and abhorred [them], Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
൧൯യഹോവ അത് കണ്ട് അവരെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; തന്റെ പുത്രീപുത്രന്മാരോടുള്ള നീരസത്താൽ തന്നേ.
20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very froward generation, Children in whom is no faith.
൨൦അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുഖം അവർക്ക് മറയ്ക്കും; അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്തെന്ന് ഞാൻ നോക്കും. അവർ വക്രതയുള്ള തലമുറ, നേരില്ലാത്ത മക്കൾ.
21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; They have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
൨൧ദൈവമല്ലാത്തതിനെക്കൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് എരിവുവരുത്തി, മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളാൽ എന്നെ മുഷിപ്പിച്ചു. ഞാനും ജനമല്ലാത്തവരെക്കൊണ്ട് അവർക്ക് എരിവുവരുത്തും; മൂഢജനതയെക്കൊണ്ട് അവരെ മുഷിപ്പിക്കും
22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest pit, And devoureth the earth with her increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
൨൨എന്റെ കോപത്താൽ തീ ജ്വലിച്ച് പാതാളത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തോളം കത്തും; ഭൂമിയെയും അതിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തെയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു പർവ്വതങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ കത്തിച്ചുകളയും. (Sheol h7585)
23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them:
൨൩ഞാൻ അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ മേൽ കൂമ്പാരമായി കൂട്ടും. എന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ നേരെ തൊടുക്കും.
24 [They shall be] wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction; And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dust.
൨൪അവർ വിശപ്പുകൊണ്ട് ക്ഷയിക്കും; ഉഷ്ണരോഗത്തിനും വിഷവ്യാധിക്കും ഇരയാകും. മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ പല്ലും സർപ്പങ്ങളുടെ വിഷവും ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അയക്കും.
25 Without shall the sword bereave, And in the chambers terror; [It shall destroy] both young man and virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs.
൨൫വീഥികളിൽ വാളും അറകളിൽ ഭീതിയും, യുവാവിനെയും യുവതിയെയും ശിശുവിനെയും നരച്ചവനെയും സംഹരിക്കും.
26 I said, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
൨൬“ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ ജയിച്ചു; യഹോവയല്ല ഇതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തത്” എന്ന് അവരുടെ വൈരികൾ തെറ്റായി വിചാരിക്കയും ശത്രു എനിക്ക് ക്രോധം വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്ന് ഞാൻ ശങ്കിച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ,
27 Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misdeem, Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, And the LORD hath not done all this.
൨൭ഞാൻ അവരെ തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞ്, മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് അവരുടെ ഓർമ്മ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, And there is no understanding in them.
൨൮അവർ ആലോചനയില്ലാത്ത ജനം; അവർക്ക് വിവേകബുദ്ധിയില്ല.
29 Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!
൨൯ഹാ, അവർ ജ്ഞാനികളായി ഇതു ഗ്രഹിച്ച് തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാവിയെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിച്ചെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു.
30 How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the LORD had delivered them up?
൩൦അവരുടെ പാറ അവരെ വിറ്റുകളയുകയും യഹോവ അവരെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഒരുവൻ ആയിരംപേരെ പിന്തുടരുന്നതും ഇരുവർ പതിനായിരംപേരെ ഓടിക്കുന്നതുമെങ്ങനെ?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
൩൧അവരുടെ പാറ നമ്മുടെ പാറപോലെയല്ല, അതിന് നമ്മുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ തന്നെ സാക്ഷികൾ.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter:
൩൨അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളി സൊദോംവള്ളിയിൽനിന്നും ഗൊമോരനിലങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ഉള്ളത്; അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം നഞ്ചും മുന്തിരിക്കുല കയ്പുമാകുന്നു;
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, And the cruel venom of asps.
൩൩അവരുടെ വീഞ്ഞ് മഹാസർപ്പത്തിൻ വിഷവും മൂർഖന്റെ കാളകൂടവും ആകുന്നു.
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, Sealed up among my treasures?
൩൪ഇതു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചും എന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽ മുദ്രയിട്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
35 Vengeance is mine, and recompence, At the time when their foot shall slide: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
൩൫അവരുടെ കാൽ വഴുതുന്ന കാലത്തേക്കുള്ള പ്രതികാരവും പ്രതിഫലവും എന്റെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ട്; അവരുടെ അനർത്ഥദിവസം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർക്ക് ഭവിപ്പാക്കുവാനുള്ളത് ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു.
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that [their] power is gone, And there is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.
൩൬യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും; അവരുടെ ബലം ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയി; അടിമയോ സ്വതന്ത്രനോ ഇല്ലാതെയായി എന്ന് കണ്ടിട്ട് അവന് തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോട് സഹതാപം തോന്നും.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, The rock in which they trusted;
൩൭അവരുടെ ബലികളുടെ മേദസ്സ് തിന്നുകയും പാനീയബലിയുടെ വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ദേവന്മാരും അവർ ആശ്രയിച്ച പാറയും എവിടെ?
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [And] drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your protection.
൩൮‘അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റ്, നിങ്ങളെ സഹായിച്ച്, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ശരണമായിരിക്കട്ടെ’ എന്ന് അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I have wounded, and I heal: And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
൩൯ഞാൻ, ഞാൻ മാത്രമേയുള്ളു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ദൈവമില്ല എന്നു ഇപ്പോൾ കണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവിൻ. ഞാൻ കൊല്ലുന്നു; ഞാൻ ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ തകർക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ സൗഖ്യമാക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കുന്നവൻ ഇല്ല.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,
൪൦ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തേക്കു കൈ ഉയർത്തി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത്: “നിത്യനായിരിക്കുന്ന എന്നാണ,
41 If I whet my glittering sword, And mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.
൪൧എന്റെ മിന്നലാകുന്ന വാൾ ഞാൻ മൂർച്ചയാക്കി എൻ കൈ ന്യായവിധി തുടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ ശത്രുക്കളിൽ പ്രതികാരം നടത്തും; എന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരോട് പകരംവീട്ടും.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the head of the leaders of the enemy.
൪൨ഹതന്മാരുടെയും ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെയും രക്തത്താലും ശത്രുനായകന്മാരുടെ ശിരസ്സിൽനിന്ന് ഒലിക്കുന്ന രക്തത്താലും ഞാൻ എന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങളെ ലഹരി പിടിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ വാൾ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും ചെയ്യും.
43 Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.
൪൩ജനതകളേ, അവന്റെ ജനത്തോടുകൂടി ഉല്ലസിക്കുവിൻ; അവൻ സ്വദാസന്മാരുടെ രക്തത്തിന് പ്രതികാരംചെയ്യും; തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോട് അവൻ പകരംവീട്ടും; തന്റെ ദേശത്തിനും ജനത്തിനും പാപപരിഹാരം വരുത്തും”.
44 And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
൪൪അനന്തരം മോശെയും നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയും ഈ പാട്ടിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും ജനത്തെ ചൊല്ലിക്കേൾപ്പിച്ചു.
45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
൪൫മോശെ വചനങ്ങളെല്ലാം യിസ്രായേൽ ജനത്തോട് സംസാരിച്ചു തീർന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്:
46 And he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day; which ye shall command your children, to observe to do all the words of this law.
൪൬ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ സകലവും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കണം എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളോടു കല്പിക്കുവാൻ, ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് നിങ്ങളോട് സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്ന സകലവചനങ്ങളും മനസ്സിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുവിൻ.
47 For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days upon the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
൪൭ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വ്യർത്ഥകാര്യമല്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവൻതന്നെ ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നുചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്ത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇതിനാൽ ദീർഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകും.
48 And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
൪൮അന്ന് തന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:
49 Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
൪൯നീ യെരിഹോവിനെതിരെ മോവാബ് ദേശത്തുള്ള ഈ അബാരീംപർവ്വതത്തിൽ, നെബോമലമുകളിൽ കയറി, ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾക്ക് അവകാശമായി കൊടുക്കുന്ന കനാൻദേശം നോക്കി കാണുക.
50 and die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
൫൦നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോൻ ഹോർ പർവ്വതത്തിൽവച്ച് മരിച്ച് തന്റെ ജനത്തോട് ചേർന്നതുപോലെ നീ കയറുന്ന പർവ്വതത്തിൽവച്ച് നീയും മരിച്ച് നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും.
51 because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
൫൧നിങ്ങൾ സീൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കാദേശിലെ കലഹജലത്തിങ്കൽ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽവച്ച് എന്നോട് അകൃത്യം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടും യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽവച്ച് എന്നെ മഹത്വീകരിക്കാതിരുന്നതിനാലും തന്നെ.
52 For thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither into the land which I give the children of Israel.
൫൨ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു കൊടുക്കുന്ന ദേശം നീ കാണും. എങ്കിലും നീ അവിടെ കടക്കുകയില്ല.
