< Deuteronomy 32 >

1 Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth:
Vaan nang loh hnatun lamtah ka thui lah eh. Ka ka dongkah ol he diklai nang loh ya lah.
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew; As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb:
Ka rhingtuknah he khotlan bangla tlan saeh. Toian dongkah dotui neh baelhing dongkah mueitui bangla, ka olthui he buemtui bangla cip saeh.
3 For I will proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
4 The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are judgment: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.
Uepomnah Pathen kah longpuei tah boeih tiktam tih, a bisai khaw hmabut a lungpang coeng. Te dongah amah tah dueng tih a thuem dongah, dumlai om pawh.
5 They have dealt corruptly with him, [they are] not his children, [it is] their blemish; [They are] a perverse and crooked generation.
6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee.
Pilnam ang neh cueih aka khueh mueh, he tlam a BOEIPA na thuung eh? Anih te nang napa moenih a? Anih long la nang n'lai tih nang n'saii phoeiah khaw n'thoh dae.
7 Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will shew thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee.
Namah a ham rhoek long khaw nang taengah han thui uh bitni.
8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.
Khohni loh namtom a phaeng vaengah, Adam koca a hoep sak tih, Israel ca kah hlangmi bangla pilnam kah rhilung a ling.
9 For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
A pilnam he BOEIPA kah khoyo la om tih, Jakob khaw amah kah a rho khoyo la om.
10 He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He kept him as the apple of his eye:
Anih te khosoek neh rhungnah neh khopong hinghong kho ah a hmuh. A mik dongkah thenhnaih bangla a kueinah dongah, a yakming tih khoep a ku.
11 As an eagle that stirreth up her nest, That fluttereth over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bare them on his pinions:
A bu dongkah a vaca te atha bangla haenghang. A phae a khong tih a phuel phoeiah, a ca te a loh tih a phaemul soah a ludoeng.
12 The LORD alone did lead him, And there was no strange god with him.
Anih te BOEIPA bueng loh a mawt tih anih taengah kholong pathen loh a om puei moenih.
13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he did eat the increase of the field; And he made him to suck honey out of the rock, And oil out of the flinty rock;
Anih te diklai hmuensang hmuensang ah a ngol sak. Khohmuen paiso khaw a cah tih, thaelpang khoitui, hmailung lungpang dongkah situi neh a khut.
14 Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, With fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the fat of kidneys of wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou drankest wine.
Vaito suknaeng neh boiva kah suktui nen khaw, tuca tha nen khaw, Bashan ca rhoek tutal nen khaw, kikong kah a kuel a pang, cang neh yucang misur thii khaw na ok.
15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek: Then he forsook God which made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
Anih aka saii Pathen te a phap tih khangnah lungpang vik te a hnoo sut.
16 They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods], With abominations provoked they him to anger.
Amah te kholong rhoek nen khaw, tueilaehkoi nen khaw a thatlai uh thil tih, amah te a veet uh.
17 They sacrificed unto demons, [which were] no God, To gods whom they knew not, To new [gods] that came up of late, Whom your fathers dreaded not.
A rhih khaw a rhih uh moenih.
18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
19 And the LORD saw [it], and abhorred [them], Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
BOEIPA loh a hmuh ngawn dae, a capa neh a canu kah a konoinah dongah yah a bai.
20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very froward generation, Children in whom is no faith.

21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; They have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest pit, And devoureth the earth with her increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Ka thintoek te hmai la ka hlae vetih Saelkhui laedil la ung kangna saeh. Diklai neh a cangpai khaw ung saeh lamtah tlang yung khaw hlawp kangna saeh. (Sheol h7585)

24 [They shall be] wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction; And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dust.

26 I said, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
Amih te ka phaek saeh lamtah, hlanghing lamkah amih poekkoepnah he ka toeng mai eh ka ti coeng.
27 Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misdeem, Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, And the LORD hath not done all this.
Thunkha kah konoinah dongah ka bakuep sak pawt akhaw a rhal hmat uh lah ve. “Mamih kut a pomsang vetih, BOEIPA loh he he boeih saii mahpawh,” ti uh lah ve.
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, And there is no understanding in them.

29 Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!
Cueih uh koinih lungming la om uh vetih, a hmailong khaw a yakming uh suidae.
30 How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the LORD had delivered them up?

31 For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
Amih kah lungpang te, mamih kah lungpang bangla a om pawt dongah, n'thunkha rhoek khaw rhokhan a khueh pah.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter:
Amih kah misur tah, Sodom misur neh Gomorrah lohmali lamloh ha thoeng dongah, a misurthaih khaw anrhat misur khahing thaihsu la poeh.
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, And the cruel venom of asps.
A misurtui tah tuihnam sue neh minta sue bangla muen.
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, Sealed up among my treasures?
Hekah he kamah taengah ka tung pawt tih, ka thakvoh dongah miknoek ka daeng moenih a?
35 Vengeance is mine, and recompence, At the time when their foot shall slide: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
Amih kho loh a paloe tue vaengah, he phulohnah neh laisahnah khaw kamah hut ni. Amih kah rhainah khohnin loh yoei coeng tih, amih taengah a coekcoe la tawn uh coeng.
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that [their] power is gone, And there is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.

38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [And] drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your protection.
Amih kah hmueih tha aka ca tih, a boeimang misurtui aka o rhoek te thoo uh saeh lamtah, nangmih aka bom neh nangmih ham hlipyingnah la om saeh.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I have wounded, and I heal: And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

46 And he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day; which ye shall command your children, to observe to do all the words of this law.

48 And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
Tekah khohnin tuung dongah Moses te BOEIPA loh a voek tih,
49 Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
