Deuteronomy 28
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth:
੧ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਮਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
2 and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
੨ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੋ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਗੀਆਂ।
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
੩ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ,
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the young of thy flock.
੪ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਫਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਫਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਫਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ।
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneadingtrough.
੫ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਪਰਾਤ,
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
੬ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ,
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways.
੭ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਮਰਵਾ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਸੱਤ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਭੱਜਣਗੇ।
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy barns, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto: and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
9 The LORD shall establish thee for an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee; if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
੯ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲੋ, ਤਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਜਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
10 And all the peoples of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨਗੇ।
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਧੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਦੇ ਫਲ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਵੇਗਾ।
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure the heaven to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
੧੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਰੂਪੀ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਜ਼ ਦਿਓਗੇ ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਜ਼ ਲੈਣਾ ਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou shalt hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them];
੧੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪੂਛ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਿਰ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਰਹੋਗੇ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨੋ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
14 and shalt not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਸੱਜੇ ਜਾਂ ਖੱਬੇ ਨਾ ਮੁੜੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੋ।
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.
੧੫ਪਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆ ਫੜ੍ਹਨਗੇ,
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
੧੬ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ,
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy kneadingtrough.
੧੭ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਪਰਾਤ,
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, the increase of thy kine, and the young of thy flock.
੧੮ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਫਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਫਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ,
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
੧੯ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ,
20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, discomfiture, and rebuke, in all that thou puttest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the evil of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
੨੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਕਰਤੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਰਾਪ, ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਅਤੇ ਤਾੜਨਾ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ।
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest in to possess it.
੨੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਵਾ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ, ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ।
22 The LORD shall smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
੨੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤਪਦਿੱਕ, ਤਾਪ, ਸੋਜ, ਤਿੱਖੀ ਤਪਸ਼, ਸੋਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ।
23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
੨੩ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਧਰਤੀ ਲੋਹੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
੨੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟਾ ਅਤੇ ਧੂੜ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਤਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਟ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ।
25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and shalt flee seven ways before them: and thou shalt be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth.
੨੫ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮਰਵਾ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਪਰ ਸੱਤ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣਿਓਂ ਭੱਜੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਨਮੂਨਾ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ।
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and there shall be none to fray them away.
੨੬ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
27 The LORD shall smite thee with the boil of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scurvy, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
੨੭ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਫੋੜਿਆਂ, ਬਵਾਸੀਰ, ਦੱਦਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਰਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੋਗੇ।
28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart:
੨੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਾਗਲਪਣ, ਅੰਨ੍ਹਪੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ,
29 and thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled alway, and there shall be none to save thee.
੨੯ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੋਹੰਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਟੋਹੰਦੇ ਫਿਰੋਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਦੱਬੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not use the fruit thereof.
੩੦ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਗਣੀ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਪਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੇਟੇਗਾ। ਘਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਣਾਓਗੇ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੋਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲਾਓਗੇ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਨਾ ਖਾਓਗੇ।
31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to save thee.
੩੧ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਓਗੇ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗਧਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲੁੱਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਮੁੜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਇੱਜੜ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day: and there shall be nought in the power of thine hand.
੩੨ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਲੋਚਦੇ-ਲੋਚਦੇ ਤਰਸ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
33 The fruit of thy ground, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
੩੩ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਖਾਣਗੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਦੱਬੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਚਲੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
34 so that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
੩੪ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ-ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਮਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, whereof thou canst not be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the crown of thy head.
੩੫ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪੈਰ ਦੇ ਤਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਤੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰੇ ਫੋੜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੋਗੇ।
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
੩੬ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਠਹਿਰਾਓਗੇ, ਇੱਕ ਕੌਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ, ਨਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ।
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples whither the LORD shall lead thee away.
੩੭ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਧੱਕ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਇੱਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਮੂਨਾ, ਕਹਾਉਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall consume it.
੩੮ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਪਰ ਉਪਜ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਟਿੱਡੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards and dress them, but thou shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather [the grapes]; for the worm shall eat them.
੩੯ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਤਾਂ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਪਰ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਧ ਪੀਓਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਗੁੱਛੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕੀੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil: for thine olive shall cast [its fruit].
੪੦ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਮਲ ਸਕੋਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਝੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be thine; for they shall go into captivity.
੪੧ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
42 All thy trees and the fruit of thy ground shall the locust possess.
੪੨ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਿੱਡੀਆਂ ਖਾ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
43 The stranger that is in the midst of thee shall mount up above thee higher and higher; and thou shalt come down lower and lower.
੪੩ਉਹ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੀ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
੪੪ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਰਜ਼ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਜ਼ ਨਾ ਦੇਓਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੂਛ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ।
45 And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
੪੫ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆ ਫੜ੍ਹਨਗੇ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
46 and they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever:
੪੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਲਈ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
47 because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things:
੪੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤਾਇਤ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਅਨੰਦਤਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ,
48 therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
੪੮ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੁੱਖ, ਪਿਆਸ, ਨੰਗੇਪਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਥੁੜ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਹੇ ਦਾ ਜੂਲਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਧੌਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
੪੯ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਤੋਂ, ਉਕਾਬ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੌਮ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝੋਗੇ।
50 a nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
੫੦ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੌਮ ਜੋ ਨਿਰਦਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਨਾ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ,
51 and he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy ground, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee corn, wine, or oil, the increase of thy kine, or the young of thy flock, until he have caused thee to perish.
੫੧ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਅੰਨ, ਨਵੀਂ ਮਧ, ਤੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨਾ ਛੱਡੇਗੀ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
੫੨ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੇਰ ਲਵੇਗੀ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਢਾਹੀਆਂ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਘੇਰ ਲਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters which the LORD thy God hath given thee; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall straiten thee.
੫੩ਉਸ ਘੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਣਗੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਓਗੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
54 The man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he hath remaining:
੫੪ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੱਜਣ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਸੁਭਾਓ ਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਭੈੜੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ,
55 so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat, because he hath nothing left him; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall straiten thee in all thy gates.
੫੫ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਘੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਣਗੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ।
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter;
੫੬ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਹ ਕੋਮਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੀ ਕੋਮਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਾਕਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀ ਵੱਲ,
57 and toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear; for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly: in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall straiten thee in thy gates.
੫੭ਆਪਣੀ ਆਓਲ ਵੱਲ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਕਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਭੈੜੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਘੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਥੁੜ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੁੱਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
੫੮ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪੂਰੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਅ ਦਾਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ,
59 then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
੫੯ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਬਵਾਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਬੁਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
60 And he will bring upon thee again all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
੬੦ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ,
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
੬੧ਸਗੋਂ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਇਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਟ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ।
62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
੬੨ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ।
63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest in to possess it.
੬੩ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਲਈ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਖਾੜੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ।
64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers, even wood and stone.
੬੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੱਕ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ।
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of thy foot: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and pining of soul:
੬੫ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਪਾਓਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੈਰ ਦੇ ਤਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੰਬਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਲ, ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੁੰਦਲਾਪਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
66 and thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear night and day, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
੬੬ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੁਬਧਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਟਕਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਡਰਦੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਉਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਛੱਡ ਬੈਠੋਗੇ।
67 in the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart which thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
੬੭ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵੇਖਣਗੀਆਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਗੇ, “ਸ਼ਾਮ ਕਦੋਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ?” ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਗੇ, “ਸਵੇਰ ਕਦੋਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ?”
68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall sell yourselves unto your enemies for bondmen and for bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
੬੮ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੇੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖੋਗੇ। ਉੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾਸ-ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਵੇਚੋਗੇ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਖਰੀਦਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
