Deuteronomy 28
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth:
૧જો યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ કાળજીથી સાંભળીને જે આજ્ઞાઓ હું આજે તને ફરમાવું છું તે સર્વ પાળીને તેને અમલમાં મૂકો, તો યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમને પૃથ્વીની બીજી જાતિઓ ઉપર શ્રેષ્ઠ દેશજાતિ તરીકે સ્થાપિત કરશે.
2 and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
૨જો તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ સાંભળશો, તો આ બધા આશીર્વાદ તમારા ઉપર આવશે અને તમને મળશે.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
૩તમે નગરમાં આશીર્વાદિત થશો, ખેતરમાં તમે આશીર્વાદિત થશો.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the young of thy flock.
૪તમારાં સંતાન, તમારી ભૂમિનું ફળ, તમારાં પશુનું ફળ, તમારાં ઘેટાંબકરાં તથા અન્ય જાનવરોના બચ્ચાં આશીર્વાદિત થશે.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneadingtrough.
૫તમારી ફળની ટોપલી તથા તમારા ગૂંદવાની વાસણ આશીર્વાદિત થશે.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
૬તમે અંદર આવતાં અને બહાર જતાં આશીર્વાદિત થશો.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways.
૭યહોવાહ તમારા ઉપર હુમલો કરવા આવનાર શત્રુઓને પરાજિત કરશે; તમારી સામે તેઓ એક માર્ગેથી આવશે તો પણ તમારી સામેથી સાત માર્ગે નાસી જશે.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy barns, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto: and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
૮યહોવાહ તમારા ભંડારોમાં અને જેમાં તમે હાથ નાખો છો તે સર્વમાં અને જે દેશ યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તમને આપે છે તેમાં તમને આશીર્વાદ આપશે.
9 The LORD shall establish thee for an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee; if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
૯જો તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળીને તેમના માર્ગોમાં ચાલશો. તો જેમ, યહોવાહે તમારી આગળ સમ ખાધા છે તેમ તે તમને પોતાની પવિત્ર પ્રજા તરીકે સ્થાપશે.
10 And all the peoples of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
૧૦પૃથ્વીના સર્વ લોક જોશે કે, યહોવાહના નામ પરથી તમારું નામ પડેલું છે. અને તેઓ તમારાથી બીશે.
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
૧૧અને જે દેશ તમને આપવા અંગે યહોવાહે તમારા પિતૃઓ આગળ સમ ખાધા હતા, તેમાં તમારાં સંતાનો વિષે, તમારાં જાનવરોના બચ્ચા વિષે તથા તમારી ભૂમિના ફળ વિષે તમને ઘણાં જ આબાદ કરશે.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure the heaven to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
૧૨તમારા દેશ પર મોસમમાં વરસાદ મોકલવા માટે અને તમારા હાથનાં કામ પર આશીર્વાદ આપવા માટે યહોવાહ તમારા માટે અખૂટ ભંડાર એટલે આકાશ ઉઘાડશે; અને તમે ઘણી દેશજાતિઓને ઉછીનું આપશો પણ તમારે ઉછીનું લેવું નહિ પડે.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou shalt hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them];
૧૩અને યહોવાહ તમને સર્વના અગ્રેસર બનાવશે, પણ પૂંછ નહિ. અને તમે ઉપર જ રહેશો નીચે નહિ. જો યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની આજ્ઞાઓ જે આજે હું તમને ફરમાવું છું તેઓને તમે લક્ષ આપીને પાળો અને અમલમાં લાવો,
14 and shalt not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
૧૪અને જે વચનો આજે હું તમને કહું છું તેઓમાંના કોઈથી જો તમે ડાબે કે જમણે ફરી જઈને અન્ય દેવોની સેવા કરવા તેઓની પાછળ નહિ જાઓ, તો તે પ્રમાણે થશે.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.
૧૫યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની વાણી ન સાંભળતાં તેમની જે સર્વ આજ્ઞાઓ તથા કાયદાઓ જે આજે હું તમને ફરમાવું છું તેઓને તમે પાળીને તમે અમલમાં નહિ મૂકો, તો એમ થશે કે, આ સર્વ શાપ તમારા પર આવીને તમને પકડી પાડશે.
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
૧૬તમે નગરમાં શાપિત થશો અને ખેતરમાં શાપિત થશો.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy kneadingtrough.
૧૭તમારી ફળની ટોપલી તથા તમારો ગૂંદવાનો વાસણ શાપિત થશે.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, the increase of thy kine, and the young of thy flock.
૧૮તમારા સંતાનો તથા તમારી ભૂમિના ફળ, તમારી ગાયોનો વિસ્તાર તથા તમારા ઘેટાંબકરાંના બચ્ચાં શાપિત થશે.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
૧૯તમે અંદર આવતાં તેમ જ બહાર જતા શાપિત થશો.
20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, discomfiture, and rebuke, in all that thou puttest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the evil of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
૨૦જે કંઈ કામમાં તમે હાથ નાખશે તેમાં યહોવાહ તમારા પર શાપ તથા પરાજય તથા ધમકી મોકલશે, એટલે સુધી કે, જે દુષ્ટ કામ કરીને તમે મારો ત્યાગ કર્યો છે. તેથી તમારો સંહાર થાય અને તમે જલ્દી નાશ પામો.
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest in to possess it.
૨૧જે દેશનું વતન પામવા સારુ તમે જાઓ છો, તેમાંથી યહોવાહ તમારો પૂરો નાશ નહિ કરે ત્યાં સુધી તે તમારા પર મરકી લાવ્યા કરશે.
22 The LORD shall smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
૨૨યહોવાહ તમને ચેપી રોગોથી તથા સોજાથી, સખત તાપથી, તલવારથી, લૂ તથા ફૂગથી મારશે. અને તમારો નાશ થતા સુધી તેઓ તમારી પાછળ લાગશે.
23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
૨૩તમારા માથા ઉપરનું આકાશ પિત્તળ જેવું થઈ જશે. તમારા પગ નીચેની ભૂમિ તે લોખંડ જેવી થઈ જશે.
24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
૨૪તમારા દેશ પર યહોવાહ વરસાદને બદલે ભૂકો તથા ધૂળ વરસાવશે; તમે નાશ પામો ત્યાં સુધી આકાશમાંથી તે તમારા પર વરસ્યા કરશે.
25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and shalt flee seven ways before them: and thou shalt be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth.
૨૫યહોવાહ તમારા શત્રુઓની સામે તમને માર ખવડાવશે, તમે એક માર્ગે તેઓની સામે ધસી જશે અને સાત માર્ગે તેઓની સામેથી નાસી જશો; અને પૃથ્વીના સર્વ રાજ્યોમાં તમે આમતેમ ભટક્યા કરશો.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and there shall be none to fray them away.
૨૬અને તમારા મૃતદેહ ખેચર પક્ષીઓનો તથા પૃથ્વીના સર્વ પશુઓનો ખોરાક થશે. અને તેઓને નસાડી મૂકનાર કોઈ નહિ હોય.
27 The LORD shall smite thee with the boil of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scurvy, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
૨૭મિસરનાં ગૂમડાંથી તથા ગાંઠિયા રોગથી તથા રક્તપિત્તથી તથા ખસથી યહોવાહ તમને મારશે. અને તેમાંથી તમે સાજા થઈ શકશો નહિ.
28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart:
૨૮પાગલપનથી, અંધાપાથી તથા મનના ગભરાટથી યહોવાહ તમને મારશે.
29 and thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled alway, and there shall be none to save thee.
૨૯અને જેમ અંધજન અંધારામાં ફાંફાં મારે છે તેમ તમે ભર બપોરે ફાંફાં મારશો. અને તમારા માર્ગોમાં તમે સફળ નહિ થાઓ; અને તમે કેવળ લૂંટ તથા જુલમને આધીન થશો. અને તમને બચાવનાર કોઈ નહિ હોય.
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not use the fruit thereof.
૩૦તમે જે સ્ત્રી સાથે સગાઈ કરશો તેનો ઉપભોગ બીજો પુરુષ કરશે. તમે ઘર બાંધશો પણ તેમાં રહેવા નહિ પામો; તમે દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓ રોપશો પણ તેનાં ફળ તમે ખાવા નહિ પામો.
31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to save thee.
૩૧તમારી નજર આગળથી તમારો બળદ કાપી નંખાશે પણ તેનું માસ તમે ખાવા નહિ પામો. તમારા દેખતાં તમારો ગધેડો બળાત્કારે લઈ લેવાશે અને તે તમને પાછો મળશે નહિ. તમારું ઘેટું તમારા શત્રુઓને આપવામાં આવશે અને તમને મદદ કરનાર કોઈ નહિ હોય.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day: and there shall be nought in the power of thine hand.
૩૨તમારા દીકરાઓ અને તમારી દીકરીઓ બીજા લોકને અપાશે અને તમારી આંખ તે જોશે. તેઓને સારુ ઝૂરી ઝૂરીને તમારી આંખો ઝાંખી થઈ જશે. અને તમે કંઈ જ કરી શકશો નહિ.
33 The fruit of thy ground, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
૩૩જે દેશજાતિઓને તમે ઓળખતા નથી તે તમારી ભૂમિનું ફળ તથા તમારી સર્વ મહેનતનું ફળ ખાઈ જશે; અને તમે સર્વદા ફક્ત જુલમ જ વેઠ્યા કરશો તથા કચરી નંખાશો.
34 so that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
૩૪અને તમારી આંખો જે દ્રશ્ય નીરખશે, તેને લીધે તમે પાગલ થઈ જશો.
35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, whereof thou canst not be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the crown of thy head.
૩૫તમારા પગનાં તળિયાથી માંડીને માથાના તાલકા સુધી પીડાકારક તથા અસાધ્ય ગૂમડાં થશે. અને યહોવાહ તમને ઘૂંટણોમાં તથા પગોમાં મારશે.
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
૩૬જે દેશ જાતિઓને તમે કે તમારા પિતૃઓ ઓળખતા નથી તેની પાસે યહોવાહ તમને તથા જે રાજા તમે તમારા પર ઠરાવો તેને લાવશે; અને ત્યાં તમે લાકડાના તથા પથ્થરના અન્ય દેવોની પૂજા કરશો.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples whither the LORD shall lead thee away.
૩૭જે સર્વ લોકોમાં યહોવાહ તમને દોરશે તેઓ મધ્યે તમે કહેણીરૂપ, ત્રાસરૂપ તથા ઘૃણાપાત્ર થઈ પડશો.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall consume it.
૩૮તમે ખેતરમાં ઘણું બીજ લઈ જશો, પણ તમે તેમાંથી થોડાં જ બીજ પેદા કરી શકશો, કેમ કે, તીડ તે ખાઈ જશે.
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards and dress them, but thou shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather [the grapes]; for the worm shall eat them.
૩૯તમે દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓ રોપશો અને તેને ઉછેરશો, પણ તમે તેમાંથી દ્રાક્ષારસ પીવા પામશો નહિ, કે તેમાંની દ્રાક્ષ પણ ભેગી કરવા પામશો નહિ, કેમ કે કીડા તેઓને ખાઈ જશે.
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil: for thine olive shall cast [its fruit].
૪૦તમારા આખા પ્રદેશમાં તમારી પાસે જૈતૂનવૃક્ષ હશે, પણ તમે તમારા પર તેનું તેલ લગાવવા નહિ પામો, કેમ કે, તમારાં જૈતૂનવૃક્ષનાં ફળ ખરી પડશે.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be thine; for they shall go into captivity.
૪૧તમને દીકરા અને દીકરીઓ હશે, પણ તેઓ તમારાં નહિ થાય, કેમ કે, તેઓ ગુલામી કરવા જશે.
42 All thy trees and the fruit of thy ground shall the locust possess.
૪૨તમારા બધા વૃક્ષો અને જમીનનાં ફળ તીડો ખાઈ જશે.
43 The stranger that is in the midst of thee shall mount up above thee higher and higher; and thou shalt come down lower and lower.
૪૩તમારી મધ્યે રહેલો પરદેશી તમારા કરતાં વધારે અને વધારે ઉચ્ચ થશે, પણ તમે વધારે અને વધારે નિમ્ન થતાં જશો.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
૪૪તેઓ તમને ઉછીનું આપશે, પણ તમે તેઓને ઉછીનું નહિ આપો, તે સર્વોપરી થશે અને તમે પાછળ રહી જશો.
45 And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
૪૫તમારો નાશ થતાં સુધી આ બધા શાપો તમારા પર આવશે અને તમારી પાછળ લાગીને તમને પકડી પાડશે. કેમ કે, તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો નહિ, તેમની જે આજ્ઞાઓ તથા કાનૂનો તેમણે તમને ફરમાવ્યાં તે પાળ્યાં નહિ. માટે આ પ્રમાણે બધું થશે.
46 and they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever:
૪૬આ બધા શાપો તમારા પર તથા તમારા વંશજો પર હંમેશા ચિહ્નોરૂપ તથા આશ્ચર્યરૂપ થઈ પડશે.
47 because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things:
૪૭જયારે તમે સમૃદ્ધ હતા ત્યારે તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની આરાધના આનંદથી તથા ઉલ્લાસથી કરી નહિ,
48 therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
૪૮માટે તમે ભૂખમાં, તરસમાં, નિવસ્ત્રઅવસ્થામાં તથા દરિદ્રતામાં તમારા દુશ્મનો કે, જેઓને યહોવાહ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ મોકલશે તેઓની તમે સેવા કરશે. તમારો નાશ થતાં સુધી યહોવાહ તમારી ગરદન પર લોખંડની ઝૂંસરી મૂકશે.
49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
૪૯યહોવાહ પૃથ્વીના છેડાથી એટલે દૂર દેશથી એક દેશજાતિ જેની ભાષા તમે સમજશો નહિ તેને જેમ ગરુડ ઊડતો હોય છે તેમ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ લાવશે;
50 a nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
૫૦તે જાતિ વિકરાળ હાવભાવ વાળી કે જે વૃદ્ધોનો આદર ન કરે અને જુવાનો પર દયા ન રાખતો હોય તેવી હશે.
51 and he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy ground, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee corn, wine, or oil, the increase of thy kine, or the young of thy flock, until he have caused thee to perish.
૫૧તે તમારો નાશ થતાં સુધી તમારા પશુઓના બચ્ચાં અને તમારી ભૂમિનું ફળ ખાઈ જશે. તેઓ તમારો વિનાશ થતાં સુધી તમારા માટે અનાજ, નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ, તેલ, પશુઓ કે ઘેટાંબકરાંના બચ્ચાં રહેવા દેશે નહિ.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
૫૨તમારા દેશમાંના જે ઊંચી અને કોટવાળી દીવાલો કે જેઓના પર તમે ભરોસો રાખતા હતા, તેઓ દરેક જગ્યાએ પડી જતાં સુધી તમારા નગરમાં ઘેરો નાખશે. યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરે જે આખો દેશ તમને આપ્યો છે તેમાં તમારા સર્વ નગરોમાં તે ઘેરી લેશે.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters which the LORD thy God hath given thee; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall straiten thee.
૫૩જે ઘેરો તથા આપત્તિ તમારા દુશ્મનો તમારા પર લાવ્યા છે, તેને લીધે તમે તમારા સંતાનોને, એટલે તમારા દીકરાદીકરીઓ યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરે તમને આપ્યાં છે તે તઓનું માંસ તમે ખાશો.
54 The man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he hath remaining:
૫૪તમારી મધ્યે જે કોઈ માણસ લાગણીશીલ હશે તેની નજર તેના ભાઈ પ્રત્યે, પોતાની પ્રિય પત્ની પ્રત્યે અને પોતાનાં બાકી રહેલાં સંતાનો પ્રત્યે ઈર્ષ્યાળુ થશે.
55 so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat, because he hath nothing left him; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall straiten thee in all thy gates.
૫૫જે પોતાનાં સંતાનોનું માંસ ખાતો હશે તે તેઓમાંના કોઈને નહિ આપે, કેમ કે જે ઘેરાથી તથા આપત્તિથી તમારા સર્વ નગરોમાં તમારા શત્રુઓ ઘેરો નાખશે, તેને લીધે તેની પાસે કંઈ જ રહ્યું નહિ હોય.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter;
૫૬તમારી મધ્યે જે કોમળ તથા નાજુક સ્ત્રી તેની કોમળતા તથા નાજુકતાને લીધે પોતાના પગની પાની જમીન પર મૂકવાનું સાહસ કરી શકતી નહિ હોય, તે પોતાના પ્રિય પતિ પ્રત્યે, પોતાના દીકરા પ્રત્યે, પોતાની દીકરી પ્રત્યે,
57 and toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear; for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly: in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall straiten thee in thy gates.
૫૭પોતે જન્મ આપેલા સંતાન પ્રત્યે અને જે બાળકને તે જન્મ આપવાની હોય તેના પ્રત્યે ઈર્ષ્યાળુ થશે. કેમ કે જે ઘેરાથી તથા આપત્તિથી તમારા શત્રુઓ તમને ઘેરશે, તેમાં સર્વ વસ્તુની અછતને લીધે તે તેઓને છાનીમાની રીતે ખાઈ જશે.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
૫૮યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરના ગૌરવી તથા ભયાનક નામથી તમે બીહો, માટે આ નિયમના જે સર્વ શબ્દો આ પુસ્તકમાં લખેલા છે, તે તમે પાળીને અમલમાં નહિ મૂકો,
59 then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
૫૯તો યહોવાહ તમારા પર તથા તમારા વંશજો પર મરકીઓ, આકસ્મિક મરકીઓ, એટલે ભારે તથા લાંબા સમય ચાલે એવી મરકીઓ તથા ભારે તથા લાંબા સમયનો રોગ લાવશે.
60 And he will bring upon thee again all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
૬૦મિસરના જે રોગથી તમે બીતા હતા, તે રોગો હું તમારા પર લાવીશ; તે તમને વળગી રહેશે.
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
૬૧તમારો નાશ થાય ત્યાં સુધી જે રોગ તથા મરકી નિયમનાં પુસ્તકમાં લખેલાં નથી, તે યહોવાહ તારા પર લાવ્યા કરશે.
62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
૬૨તમે સંખ્યામાં આકાશના તારાઓ જેટલા હતા તેને બદલે અતિ અલ્પ થઈ જશો, કેમ કે તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો નથી.
63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest in to possess it.
૬૩જેમ યહોવાહ તમારું ભલું કરવામાં અને તમારી વૃદ્ધિ કરવામાં આનંદ પામતા હતા, તમે યહોવાહ તમારો વિનાશ કરવામાં તથા નાશ કરવામાં આનંદ પામશે. જે દેશમાં તમે વતન પામવા જાઓ છો તેમાંથી તને ઉખેડી નાખવામાં આવશે.
64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers, even wood and stone.
૬૪યહોવાહ તમને પૃથ્વીના એક છેડાથી બીજા છેડા સુધી વિખેરી નાખશે; ત્યાં તમે કે તમારા પિતૃઓ લાકડાંના અને પથ્થરના દેવો જેઓને તમે ઓળખતા નથી, તેઓની પૂજા કરશો.
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of thy foot: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and pining of soul:
૬૫આ દેશજાતિઓ મધ્યે તને કંઈ ચેન નહિ પડે, તમારા પગનાં તળિયાંને કંઈ આરામ નહિ મળે, પણ, ત્યાં યહોવાહ તમને કંપિત હૃદય, ધૂંધળી આંખ અને શોકાતુર હૃદય આપશે.
66 and thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear night and day, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
૬૬તમારું જીવન શંકામાં રહશે; તમે રાત અને દિવસ ભયભીત રહેશો અને તમારા જીવનની કોઈ ખાતરી નહિ રહે.
67 in the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart which thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
૬૭તમારા મનમાં જે બીક લાગશે તેને લીધે અને તમારી આંખોથી જે બનાવ તું જોશે તેને લીધે સવારમાં તમે કહેશો કે, ઈશ્વર કરે અને ક્યારે સાંજ પડે અને સાંજે તમે કહેશે કે, ઈશ્વર કરે અને ક્યારે સવાર થાય.
68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall sell yourselves unto your enemies for bondmen and for bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
૬૮જે માર્ગ વિષે મેં તમને કહ્યું હતું કે તે માર્ગ પર ફરી કદી તમે જશો નહિ. અને તે માર્ગ પર વહાણોમાં યહોવાહ ફરીથી તને મિસરમાં લાવશે. ત્યાં તમે દાસ અને દાસી તરીકે તમારા શત્રુઓને વેચાઈ જવા માગશો પણ તમને કોઈ ખરીદશે નહિ.
