Deuteronomy 10
1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
१तेव्हा हुबेहूब पहिल्यासारख्या दोन सपाट दगडी पाट्या परमेश्वराने मला घडवायला सांगितल्या. “त्या घेऊन माझ्याकडे डोंगरावर ये आणि एक लाकडाचा कोशही कर असे सांगितले.
2 And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
२तो पुढे म्हणाला, तू फोडून टाकलेल्या पाट्यांवर होता तोच मजकूर मी या पाट्यांवर लिहीन मग तू या नवीन पाट्या कोशात ठेव.”
3 So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
३मग मी बाभळीच्या लाकडाची एक कोश बनवला. पहिल्यासारख्याच दोन दगडी पाट्या केल्या आणि डोंगरावर गेलो. पाट्या माझ्या हातातच होत्या.
4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
४मग, डोंगरावर सर्व जमले होते तेव्हा ज्या दहा आज्ञा परमेश्वराने अग्नीतून तुम्हास दिल्या त्याच त्याने पहिल्या लेखाप्रमाणे या पाट्यांवर लिहिल्या आणि त्या माझ्या स्वाधीन केल्या.
5 And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.
५मी डोंगर उतरुन खाली आलो. त्या पाट्या मी केलेल्या कोशात ठेवल्या. त्या तशा ठेवायला मला परमेश्वराने सांगितले होते. आणि अजूनही त्या तिथे आहेत.
6 (And the children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead.
६इस्राएल लोक प्रवास करत बनेयाकान विहिरीवरुन मोसेरोथला आले. तेथे अहरोन मरण पावला. त्यास तेथेच दफन केले. त्याच्या जागी त्याचा मुलगा एलाजार याजकाचे काम करु लागला.
7 From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
७इस्राएल लोक मग मोसेराहून गुदगोदा येथे आणि तेथून पुढे याटबाथा या नद्यांच्या प्रदेशात आले.
8 At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
८त्यावेळी परमेश्वराने एका खास कामगिरीसाठी लेवीचा वंश इतरांपेक्षा वेगळा केला. परमेश्वराच्या आज्ञापटाचा तो कोश वाहून नेण्याची जबाबदारी त्यांच्यावर सोपवली. याजक म्हणून परमेश्वराची सेवा करणे, परमेश्वराच्या वतीने लोकांस आशीर्वाद देणे ही त्यांची कामे होती. ती ते अजूनही करतात.
9 Wherefore Levi hath no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God spake unto him.)
९त्यामुळेच लेवींना इतरांसारखा जमिनीत व वतनात वाटा मिळाला नाही. परमेश्वर देवाने कबूल केल्याप्रमाणे परमेश्वरच त्यांचे वतन आहे.
10 And I stayed in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and the LORD hearkened unto me that time also; the LORD would not destroy thee.
१०मी पहिल्या वेळेप्रमाणेच चाळीस दिवस आणि रात्र डोंगरावर राहिलो. यावेळी परमेश्वराने माझे ऐकले व तुमचा नाश न करायचे ठरविले.
11 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
११तेव्हा परमेश्वराने मला सांगितले, “ऊठ आणि लोकांस पुढच्या प्रवासास घेऊन जा. म्हणजे मी त्यांच्या पूर्वजांना जो प्रदेश द्यायचे वचन दिले तेथे ते जाऊन राहतील.”
12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
१२आता, हे इस्राएल लोकहो! तुम्ही तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याचे भय धरावे, त्याच्या सर्व मार्गांने चालावे, आणि त्याच्यावर प्रीती करावी, आणि तुम्ही आपल्या सर्व हृदयाने आणि आपल्या सर्व जिवाने परमेश्वर तुमचा देव याची सेवा करावी.
13 to keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
१३परमेश्वराच्या आज्ञा आणि त्याचे जे नियम मी आज तुमच्या बऱ्यासाठी तुम्हास आज्ञापिले ते तुम्ही पाळावे, याशिवाय तुमचा देव तुमच्याकडून काय मागतो?
14 Behold, unto the LORD thy God belongeth the heaven, and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that therein is.
१४सर्वकाही तुमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याचे आहे. आकाश, आकाशापलीकडचे आकाश, पृथ्वी व पृथ्वीवरचे सर्वकाही परमेश्वर देवाचे आहे.
15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.
१५परमेश्वराचे तुमच्या पूर्वजांवर फार प्रेम होते. त्या प्रेमाखातीर त्याने इतरांना वगळून तुम्हास आपले मानले. आजही वस्तूस्थिती तिच आहे.
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
१६तेव्हा हट्टीपणा सोडा, आपली अंत: करणे परमेश्वरास द्या.
17 For the LORD your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.
१७कारण परमेश्वर तुमचा देव आहे, तो देवांचा देव व प्रभूंचा प्रभू आहे. तो महान व भययोग्य परमेश्वर आहे. तो विस्मयकारी आहे. त्यास सर्वजण सारखेच आहेत. तो पक्षपात करत नाही की लाच घेत नाही.
18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
१८अनाथांना, विधवांना इतकेच काय शहरात आलेल्या परकीयानांही अन्नवस्त्र पुरवून आपले प्रेम दाखवतो.
19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
१९म्हणून तुम्ही परक्यांशी प्रेमाने वागले पाहिजे. कारण मिसर देशात तुम्हीही उपरेच होतात.
20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.
२०तुम्ही फक्त तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याचेच भय धरा व त्याचीच सेवा करा, त्याच्याबद्दल आदर बाळगा. त्यास धरुन राहा, शपथ वाहाताना त्याच्याच नावाने शपथ घ्या.
21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
२१फक्त परमेश्वराची स्तुती करा. तो तुमचा देव आहे. त्याने केलेले चमत्कार आणि भयानक थोर कृत्ये तुम्ही प्रत्यक्ष पाहिली आहेत.
22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
२२तुमचे पूर्वज खाली मिसरमध्ये गेले तेव्हा ते फक्त सत्तरजण होते. आता तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याच्या कृपेने तुम्ही त्याच्या कितीतरी पटीने अधिक, आकाशातील ताऱ्यांइतके झाला आहात.
