2 Thessalonians 2
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him;
Prosimy was, bracia, przez [wzgląd na] przyjście naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa i nasze zgromadzenie się przy nim;
2 to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is [now] present;
Abyście nie tak łatwo dali się zachwiać w [waszym] umyśle i zatrwożyć się ani przez ducha, ani przez mowę, ani przez list rzekomo przez nas [pisany], jakoby [już] nadchodził dzień Chrystusa.
3 let no man beguile you in any wise: for [it will not be], except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
Niech was nikt w żaden sposób nie zwodzi. [Ten dzień] bowiem nie [nadejdzie], dopóki najpierw nie przyjdzie odstępstwo i nie objawi się człowiek grzechu, syn zatracenia;
4 he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.
Który się sprzeciwia i wynosi ponad wszystko, co się nazywa Bogiem lub co jest przedmiotem czci, tak że zasiądzie w świątyni Boga jako Bóg, podając się za Boga.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
Czy nie pamiętacie, że jeszcze będąc u was, mówiłem o tym?
6 And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.
A teraz wiecie, co przeszkadza, tak że się objawi w swoim czasie.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only [there is] one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way.
Tajemnica nieprawości bowiem już działa. Tylko że ten, który teraz przeszkadza, [będzie przeszkadzał], aż zostanie usunięty z drogi.
8 And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming;
Wówczas pojawi się ów niegodziwiec, którego Pan zabije duchem swoich ust i zniszczy blaskiem swego przyjścia.
9 [even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
[Niegodziwiec] przyjdzie za sprawą szatana, z całą mocą, wśród znaków i fałszywych cudów;
10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that are perishing; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Wśród wszelkiego zwodzenia nieprawości wobec tych, którzy giną, ponieważ nie przyjęli miłości prawdy, by zostali zbawieni.
11 And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:
Dlatego Bóg zsyła im silne omamienie, tak że uwierzą kłamstwu;
12 that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Aby zostali osądzeni wszyscy, którzy nie uwierzyli prawdzie, ale upodobali sobie niesprawiedliwość.
13 But we are bound to give thanks to God alway for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Lecz my nieustannie powinniśmy dziękować Bogu za was, bracia umiłowani przez Pana, że Bóg od początku wybrał was do zbawienia przez uświęcenie Ducha i wiarę w prawdę.
14 whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do tego powołał was przez naszą ewangelię, abyście dostąpili chwały naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.
15 So then, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye were taught, whether by word, or by epistle of ours.
Dlatego, bracia, stójcie [niewzruszenie] i trzymajcie się przekazanych nauk, o których zostaliście pouczeni czy to przez mowę, czy przez nasz list.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father which loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)
A sam nasz Pan Jezus Chrystus i Bóg, nasz Ojciec, który nas umiłował i dał wieczną pociechę i dobrą nadzieję przez łaskę; (aiōnios g166)
17 comfort your hearts and stablish them in every good work and word.
Niech pocieszy wasze serca i utwierdzi was w każdym dobrym słowie i uczynku.
