2 Chronicles 2
1 Now Solomon purposed to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
Und Salomo gedachte, dem Namen des HERRN ein Haus zu bauen und ein Haus zu seiner Residenz.
2 And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand men that were hewers in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
Und Salomo zählte 70000 Lastträger ab und 80000 Holzhauer im Gebirge und 3600 Aufseher über sie.
3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, [even so deal with me].
Und Salomo sandte zu Huram, dem König zu Tyrus, und ließ ihm sagen: Wie damals, als du meinem Vater David Zedern sandtest, daß er sich ein Haus baute, um darin zu wohnen [, so tue auch an mir].
4 Behold, I build an house for the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of the LORD our God. This is [an ordinance] for ever to Israel;
Siehe, ich will dem Namen des HERRN, meines Gottes, ein Haus bauen, um es ihm zu weihen, um wohlriechendes Räucherwerk vor ihm zu räuchern und allezeit Schaubrote zuzurüsten und Brandopfer zu opfern, am Morgen und am Abend, an den Sabbaten und Neumonden und an den Festen des HERRN, unseres Gottes, was um Israels willen stets geschehen soll.
5 And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.
Das Haus aber, das ich bauen will, soll groß sein; denn unser Gott ist größer als alle Götter.
6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn incense before him?
Aber wer vermag es, ihm ein Haus zu bauen? Denn der Himmel und aller Himmel Himmel mögen ihn nicht fassen; und wer bin ich, daß ich ihm ein Haus baue, es sei denn, um vor ihm zu räuchern?
7 Now therefore send me a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave [all manner of] gravings, [to be] with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.
So sende mir nun einen weisen Mann, der zu arbeiten versteht in Gold, Silber, Erz, Eisen, Purpur, in Stoffen von Karmesinfarbe und von blauem Purpur, und der sich auf die Bildhauerei versteht, Damit er arbeite mit den Weisen, die bei mir sind, in Juda und Jerusalem, für welche mein Vater David gesorgt hat.
8 Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,
Und sende mir Zedern, Zypressen und Sandelholz vom Libanon; denn ich weiß, daß deine Knechte es verstehen, die Bäume auf dem Libanon zu fällen. Und siehe, meine Knechte sollen mit deinen Knechten sein,
9 even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great.
damit man mir viel Holz zurichte; denn das Haus, das ich bauen will, soll groß und wunderbar sein.
10 And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
Und siehe, ich will den Zimmerleuten, deinen Knechten, die das Holz hauen, zwanzigtausend Kor gestoßenen Weizen, zwanzigtausend Kor Gerste, zwanzigtausend Bat Wein und zwanzigtausend Bat Öl geben.
11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD loveth his people, he hath made thee king over them.
Da antwortete Huram, der König von Tyrus, schriftlich und ließ Salomo sagen: Weil der HERR sein Volk liebt, hat er dich zum König über sie gemacht.
12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with discretion and understanding, that should build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
Und Huram sprach weiter: Gelobt sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat, welcher dem König David einen weisen Sohn gegeben hat, der so klug und verständig ist, daß er dem HERRN ein Haus bauen kann und für sich selbst ein Haus zur Residenz!
13 And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father’s,
So sende ich nun einen weisen Mann, den Künstler Huram-Abi.
14 the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to devise any device: that there may be [a place] appointed unto him with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
Derselbe ist der Sohn eines Weibes aus den Töchtern Dans, sein Vater ist ein Tyrer gewesen. Der weiß in Gold, Silber, Erz, Eisen, Stein und Holz, in rotem und blauem Purpur, in feiner Baumwolle und in Stoffen von Karmesinfarbe zu arbeiten und versteht alle Arten von Bildhauerei und weiß jedes Kunstwerk, das ihm aufgegeben wird, auszuführen mit Hilfe deiner Künstler und der Künstler meines Herrn David, deines Vaters.
15 Now therefore the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
So wolle nun mein HERR seinen Knechten den Weizen, die Gerste, das Öl und den Wein senden, wie er versprochen hat;
16 and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.
und wir werden das Holz auf dem Libanon hauen, soviel du bedarfst, und es als Flöße auf dem Meer nach Japho bringen, von wo du es nach Jerusalem hinaufholen kannst.
17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
Und Salomo zählte alle Fremdlinge im Lande Israel, nach der [früheren] Zählung, die sein Vater David angeordnet hatte, und es wurden 153600 gefunden.
18 And he set threescore, and ten thousand of them to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand that were hewers in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people awork.
Von diesen machte er 70000 zu Lastträgern und 80000 zu Steinhauern im Gebirge und 3600 zu Aufsehern, die das Volk zur Arbeit anzuhalten hatten.
