< 2 Chronicles 19 >
1 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
Pea naʻe liliu atu ʻa Sihosafate ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, ʻi he fiemālie ki hono fale ki Selūsalema.
2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before the LORD.
Pea naʻe ʻalu kituaʻā ʻa Sehu ko e foha ʻo Hanani ko e tangata kikite ke fakafetaulaki kiate ia, ʻo ne pehē ki he tuʻi ko Sihosafate, “He ʻoku totonu kiate koe ke tokoni ki he taʻeangafakaʻotua? Pea ke ʻofa kiate kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kia Sihova? Ko ia kuo hoko ai ha houhau meia Sihova kiate koe.
3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thine heart to seek God.
Ka ko e moʻoni ʻoku ai ʻae ngaahi meʻa lelei siʻi ʻoku ʻilo ʻiate koe, koeʻuhi ʻi hoʻo ʻave ʻae ngaahi vao tapu mei he fonua, pea kuo ke teuteu ho loto ke kumi kia Sihova.”
4 And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD, the God of their fathers.
Pea naʻe nofo ʻa Sihosafate ʻi Selūsalema: pea toe ʻalu atu ia ki he kakai kotoa pē mei Peasipa ʻo aʻu ki he moʻunga ko ʻIfalemi, ʻo ne liliu ʻakinautolu kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.
5 And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,
Pea naʻe fakanofo ʻe ia ʻae kau fakamaau ʻi he fonua ʻi he ngaahi kolotau kotoa pē ʻo Siuta ʻi he kolo taki taha kotoa pē.
6 and said to the judges, Consider what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD; and [he is] with you in the judgment.
Pea naʻa ne pehē ki he kau fakamaau, “Vakai ki he meʻa ʻoku mou fai: he ʻoku ʻikai te mou fakamaau maʻae tangata, ka kia Sihova, ʻaia ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolu ʻi he fakamaau.
7 Now therefore let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
Ko ia tuku ke ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae manavahē kia Sihova: pea vakai pea fai ia: he ʻoku ʻikai ha angahia ʻia Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua, pe ha filifilimānako kakai, pe ha maʻu meʻaʻofa.”
8 Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites and the priests, and of the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies. And they returned to Jerusalem.
Pea naʻe fakanofo foki ʻe Sihosafate ʻi Selūsalema, ʻae niʻihi ʻoe kau Livai, pea mo e kau taulaʻeiki, mo e niʻihi ʻi he tuʻukimuʻa ʻoe kau mātuʻa ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ke fai ʻae fakamaau ʻa Sihova, pea ki he ngaahi fakakikihi, ʻi heʻenau liu mai ki Selūsalema.
9 And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
Pea naʻe fekau pau ʻe ia kiate kinautolu ʻo pehē, “Ke mou fai pehē pe ʻi he manavahē kia Sihova, ʻo angatonu pea ʻi he loto haohaoa.
10 And whensoever any controversy shall come to you from your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall warn them, that they be not guilty towards the LORD, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not be guilty.
Pea ko e meʻa ia kotoa pē ʻe ʻomi kiate kimoutolu ʻi homou ngaahi kāinga ʻoku nofo ʻi honau ngaahi kolo, ʻi he fetāmateʻaki, pe ʻi he fono mo e fekau, mo e ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni, ke mou valoki ʻakinautolu ke ʻoua naʻa nau fai angahala kia Sihova, ke hoko ai ʻae houhau kiate kimoutolu, pea ki homou kāinga: mou fai ia, pea ʻe ʻikai te mou fai hala.
11 And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king’s matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD be with the good.
Pea vakai, ko ʻAmalia ko e taulaʻeiki lahi, ʻoku pule ia kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻia Sihova: pea pule ʻa Sepatia ko e foha ʻo ʻIsimeʻeli, ko e pule ʻoe fale ʻo Siuta, ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ʻae tuʻi: pea ko e kau Livai foki ko e ngaahi matāpule ʻi homou ʻao. [Mou ]fai loto mālohi, pea ʻe kau ʻa Sihova mo e angalelei.”
