2 Chronicles 13
1 In the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.
੧ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਅਠਾਰਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ
2 Three years reigned he in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Micaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
੨ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਉਰੀਏਲ ਗਬਈ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੋਈ
3 And Abijah joined battle with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: and Jeroboam set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, who were mighty men of valour.
੩ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਜੰਗੀ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਜੋ ਚਾਰ ਲੱਖ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਲਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅੱਠ ਲੱਖ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ
4 And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, Hear me, O Jeroboam and all Israel;
੪ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਸਮਾਰਯਿਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੋ!
5 Ought ye not to know that the LORD, the God of Israel, gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?
੫ਕੀ ਤਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਲੂਣ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ?
6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up, and rebelled against his lord.
੬ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਨਬਾਟ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਜੋ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਸੀ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਆਕੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
7 And there were gathered unto him vain men, sons of Belial, which strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tender-hearted, and could not withstand them.
੭ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਫੰਗੇ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨਰਮ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ
8 And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great multitude, and there are with you the golden calves which Jeroboam made you for gods.
੮ਹੁਣ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਲ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ!
9 Have ye not driven out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the peoples of [other] lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of [them that are] no gods.
੯ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਢੰਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਐਉਂ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਛਾ ਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਮੇਂਢੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਪਣ ਆਵੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣ ਸਕੋ?
10 But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and [we have] priests ministering unto the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites in their work:
੧੦ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਹਾਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
11 and they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense: the shewbread also [set they] in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
੧੧ਐਉਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮੇਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜਾਵੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਨਹਿਲੇ ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਿਰਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ
12 And, behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound an alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD, the God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਸਾਡੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚ ਕੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਰਸਿੰਗੇ ਫੂਕਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਲੜੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ!
13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.
੧੩ਪਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਘਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੌਜ ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਾਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਨ।
14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind them: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
੧੪ਜਦ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਲੜਾਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੋਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਹੈ! ਤਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਗੇ ਫੂਕੇ
15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਿਆ ਤਦ ਐਉਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ
17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
੧੭ਤਾਂ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਮਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਲੱਖ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਰ ਗਏ।
18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD, the God of their fathers.
੧੮ਐਉਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ
19 And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Beth-el with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephron with the towns thereof.
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ, ਯਸ਼ਾਨਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ, ਅਫਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ
20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD smote him, and he died.
੨੦ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਫੇਰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾ ਫੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ
21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and took unto himself fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
੨੧ਪਰੰਤੂ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਜੰਮੀਆਂ
22 And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the commentary of the prophet Iddo.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚਾਲ-ਚਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਉਤਾਂ ਇੱਦੋ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
