1 Samuel 3
1 And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
ସେସମୟରେ ବାଳକ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଏଲିଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପରିଚର୍ଯ୍ୟା କଲେ। ସେ କାଳରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଦୁର୍ଲଭ ଥିଲା; ପ୍ରକାଶ୍ୟ ଦର୍ଶନ ନ ଥିଲା।
2 And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, (now his eyes had begun to wax dim, that he could not see, )
ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଏଲିଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଧନ୍ଦଳା ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ଏଣୁ ସେ ଦେଖି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଏକ ଦିନ ସେ ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଶୋଇଥିଲେ
3 and the lamp of God was not yet gone out, and Samuel was laid down [to sleep], in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was;
ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଥାଏ, ଏପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ଲିଭିବା ପୂର୍ବେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଶୋଇଥିଲେ,
4 that the LORD called Samuel: and he said, Here am I.
ସେତେବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ; ସେ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛି।”
5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ଏଲିଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଧାଇଁଯାଇ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛି, ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ଡାକିଲେ ପରା?” ସେ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଡାକି ନାହିଁ; ଫେରିଯାଇ ଶୁଅ।” ତହୁଁ ସେ ଯାଇ ଶୋଇଲେ;
6 And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ “ଶାମୁୟେଲ” ବୋଲି ପୁନର୍ବାର ଡାକିଲେ। ତହୁଁ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଉଠି ଏଲିଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛି, ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ଡାକିଲେ ପରା?” ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ହେ ପୁତ୍ର, ମୁଁ ଡାକି ନାହିଁ; ଫେରିଯାଇ ଶୁଅ।”
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
ସେସମୟରେ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପରିଚୟ ପାଇ ନ ଥିଲେ, କିଅବା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲା।
8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ। ତହୁଁ ସେ ଉଠି ଏଲିଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛି, ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ଡାକିଲେ ପରା?” ଏଥିରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେ ବାଳକକୁ ଡାକୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଏଲି ବୁଝିଲେ।
9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
ତେଣୁ, ଏଲି ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଇ ଶୁଅ; ଯେବେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଡାକନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିବ, ‘ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ କହନ୍ତୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଶୁଣୁଅଛି।’” ତହୁଁ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଯାଇ ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଶୋଇଲେ।
10 And the LORD came, and stood and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel said, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମୟ ପରି “ଶାମୁୟେଲ, ଶାମୁୟେଲ,” ବୋଲି ଡାକିଲେ। ତେବେ ଶାମୁୟେଲ କହିଲେ, “କହନ୍ତୁ; ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଶୁଣୁଅଛି।”
11 And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
ତହୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ କର୍ମ କରିବା, ଯେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ତାହା ଶୁଣିବ, ତାହାର ଦୁଇ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଝାଁ ଝାଁ ହେବ।
12 In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from the beginning even unto the end.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏଲି ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତାହାର ପରିବାର ବିଷୟରେ ଯାହା ଯାହା କହିଅଛୁ, ସେସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଥମାବଧି ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେହି ଦିନ ସଫଳ କରିବା।
13 For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever, for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons did bring a curse upon themselves, and he restrained them not.
ଯେହେତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଅପରାଧ ବିଷୟ ସେ ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେଲା, ତହିଁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ବଂଶକୁ ସର୍ବଦା ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବା ବୋଲି ତାହାକୁ କହିଅଛୁ, କାରଣ ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶପ୍ତ କଲେ ହେଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦମନ କଲା ନାହିଁ।
14 And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.
ଏହେତୁ ଏଲି ବଂଶର ଅପରାଧ, ବଳିଦାନ କି ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଦାକାଳ ପରିଷ୍କୃତ ନୋହିବ ବୋଲି ଏଲି-ବଂଶ ବିଷୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛୁ।”
15 And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.
ତହୁଁ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ପ୍ରଭାତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶୟନ କଲେ, ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହଦ୍ୱାର ଫିଟାଇଲେ। ପୁଣି, ଏଲିଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ଦର୍ଶନ ବିଷୟ ଜଣାଇବାକୁ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଭୟ କଲେ।
16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Here Am I.
ପୁଣି, “ହେ ମୋହର ପୁତ୍ର ଶାମୁୟେଲ,” ଏହା କହି ଏଲି ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛି।”
17 And he said, What is the thing that [the LORD] hath spoken unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he spake unto thee.
ତେବେ ସେ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କି କଥା କହିଲେ? ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ମୋʼ ଠାରୁ ତାହା ଗୁପ୍ତ ନ କର; ସେ ଯେସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରୁ କୌଣସି କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋʼ ଠାରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ କଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସେହି ଦଣ୍ଡ, ମଧ୍ୟ ତହିଁରୁ ଅଧିକ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଉନ୍ତୁ।”
18 And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
ତହିଁରେ ଶାମୁୟେଲ କିଛି ଗୁପ୍ତ ନ କରି ତାଙ୍କୁ ସବୁ କଥା ଜଣାଇଲେ। ତହୁଁ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ସେ ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ; ଯାହା ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଭଲ, ତାହା ସେ କରନ୍ତୁ।”
19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ବଢ଼ିଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଥାଇ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ କୌଣସି କଥା ତଳେ ପଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.
ତହିଁରେ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ହେବାକୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଦାନ୍ଠାରୁ ବେର୍ଶେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେଲେ।
21 And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
ଆହୁରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶୀଲୋରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଲେ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶୀଲୋରେ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କଲେ।
