1 Samuel 19
1 And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should slay David. But Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଶାଉଲ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନକୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଦାସ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ।
2 And Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to slay thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:
ମାତ୍ର ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅନୁରକ୍ତ ଥିଲା। ଏହେତୁ ଯୋନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ମୋର ପିତା ଶାଉଲ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହାନ୍ତି; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାତଃକାଳରେ ଆପଣା ବିଷୟରେ ସାବଧାନ ହୋଇ କୌଣସି ଗୁପ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ରହି ଆପଣାକୁ ଲୁଚାଅ;
3 and I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and if I see aught, I will tell thee.
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଥିବ, ସେସ୍ଥାନକୁ ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ମୋର ପିତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥୋପକଥନ କରିବି; ଯେବେ ମୁଁ କିଛି ଦେଖିବି, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜଣାଇବି।”
4 And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:
ପୁଣି, ଯୋନାଥନ ଆପଣା ପିତା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଭଲ କଥା କହି ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ମହାରାଜ, ଆପଣା ଦାସ ଦାଉଦ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ ନ କରନ୍ତୁ, ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କରି ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଅତି ମଙ୍ଗଳଜନକ ହୋଇଅଛି;
5 for he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great victory for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?
କାରଣ ସେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ ହସ୍ତରେ ଧରି ସେହି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟକୁ ବଧ କଲା, ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମହା ଉଦ୍ଧାର ସାଧନ କଲେ; ଆପଣ ତାହା ଦେଖିଥିଲେ ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିଥିଲେ; ତେବେ ଆପଣ ବିନା କାରଣରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରି କାହିଁକି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ରକ୍ତ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କରିବେ?”
6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be put to death.
ଏଥିରେ ଶାଉଲ ଯୋନାଥନର ରବ ଶୁଣିଲେ; ପୁଣି, “ଶାଉଲ ଶପଥ କରି କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ସେ ହତ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ।”
7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as beforetime.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯୋନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲା ଓ ଯୋନାଥନ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଜଣାଇଲା। ପୁଣି, ଯୋନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲା, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ପୂର୍ବ ପରି ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ରହିଲେ।
8 And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled before him.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ହେଲା; ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦ ବାହାରି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମହାସଂହାରରେ ବଧ କଲେ; ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ପଳାୟନ କଲେ।
9 And an evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand; and David played with his hand.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶାଉଲ ଆପଣା ହାତରେ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଧରି ଗୃହରେ ବସିଥିବା ବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏକ ମନ୍ଦ ଆତ୍ମା ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରକୁ ଆସିଲା; ସେସମୟରେ ଦାଉଦ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ବାଦ୍ୟ ବଜାଉଥିଲେ,
10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the spear; but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the spear into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
ଏପରି ସମୟରେ ଶାଉଲ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛାରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ କାନ୍ଥରେ ଫୋଡ଼ି ପକାଇବାକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଘୁଞ୍ଚିଯିବାରୁ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା କାନ୍ଥରେ ଫୋଡ଼ି ହୋଇଗଲା; ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ପଳାଇ ସେହି ରାତ୍ରି ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲେ।
11 And Saul sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to-night, tomorrow thou shalt be slain.
ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଜଗି ସକାଳେ ବଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କର ଗୃହକୁ ଶାଉଲ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ; ଏଥିରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ମୀଖଲ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆଜି ରାତ୍ରି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣରକ୍ଷା ନ କଲେ, କାଲି ହତ ହେବ।”
12 So Michal let David down through the window: and he went, and fled, and escaped;
ତେଣୁ ମୀଖଲ ଝରକା ଦେଇ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଦେଲା; ଏଥିରେ ସେ ଗଲେ ଓ ପଳାଇ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲେ।
13 And Michal took the teraphim, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats’ [hair] at the head thereof, and covered it with the clothes.
ତହୁଁ ମୀଖଲ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ନେଇ ଶଯ୍ୟାରେ ଶୁଆଇଲା ଓ ଛାଗଲୋମ ନିର୍ମିତ ରେଜାଇ ତହିଁର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଦେଇ ତାହାକୁ ଚାଦରରେ ଘୋଡ଼ାଇ ରଖିଲା।
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ନେବା ପାଇଁ ଶାଉଲ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାନ୍ତେ, ମୀଖଲ କହିଲା, “ସେ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି।”
15 And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
ତହିଁରେ ଶାଉଲ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ କହିଲେ, “ତାହାକୁ ଶଯ୍ୟାରେ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣ, ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବି।”
16 And when the messengers came in, behold, the teraphim was in the bed, with the pillow of goats’ [hair] at the head thereof.
ତହୁଁ ଦୂତମାନେ ଭିତରେ ଯାଆନ୍ତେ, ଦେଖ, ଶଯ୍ୟାରେ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଅଛି ଓ ତହିଁର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଛାଗଲୋମ ନିର୍ମିତ ରେଜାଇ ଅଛି।
17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me thus, and let mine enemy go, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?
ଏଣୁ ଶାଉଲ ମୀଖଲକୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ମୋତେ ଏରୂପ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନା କଲ ଓ ମୋʼ ଶତ୍ରୁକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦେଲ ଯେ, ସେ ପଳାଇଗଲା?” ତହିଁରେ ମୀଖଲ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କଲା, “ସେ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, ‘ମୋତେ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଅ; ମୁଁ କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଧ କରିବି?’”
18 Now David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦାଉଦ ପଳାଇ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲେ ଓ ରାମାରେ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ଶାଉଲ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଯାହା କରିଥିଲେ, ତାହାସବୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇଲେ। ତହୁଁ ସେ ଓ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଯାଇ ନାୟୋତରେ ବାସ କଲେ।
19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇ ଦିଆଗଲା, ଦେଖ, ଦାଉଦ ରାମାସ୍ଥିତ ନାୟୋତରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied;
ତେଣୁ ଶାଉଲ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଦଳକୁ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଠିଆ ହେବାର ଦେଖନ୍ତେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ।
21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
ଆଉ ଏହି କଥା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇ ଦିଆଯାଆନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ। ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶାଉଲ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ।
22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to the great well that is in Secu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
ତେବେ ସେ ନିଜେ ମଧ୍ୟ ରାମାକୁ ଯାଇ ସେଖୁସ୍ଥିତ ବୃହତ କୂପ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେ ପଚାରି କହିଲେ, “ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଓ ଦାଉଦ କେଉଁଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି?” ଏଥିରେ ଜଣେ କହିଲା, “ଦେଖ, ସେମାନେ ରାମାସ୍ଥିତ ନାୟୋତରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।”
23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
ତେଣୁ ସେ ରାମାସ୍ଥିତ ନାୟୋତକୁ ଗଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ରାମାସ୍ଥିତ ନାୟୋତରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ।
24 And he also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
ପୁଣି, ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର କାଢ଼ି ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ, ଆଉ ସେହି ସାରାଦିନ ଓ ସାରାରାତ୍ରି ପୋଷାକ ନ ପିନ୍ଧି ପଡ଼ି ରହିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଲୋକେ କହନ୍ତି, “ଶାଉଲ ହିଁ କି ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜଣେ?”
