< 1 Peter 3 >

1 In like manner, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be gained by the behaviour of their wives;
PIL dueta komail li akan, udi on pein omail warok kan, pwe irail me jo pojon majan o, en pil dore kila wiawia mau en li akan o arail nenenla.
2 beholding your chaste behaviour [coupled] with fear.
Ni arail kilekilan omail wiawia min ianaki lan.
3 Whose [adorning] let it not be the outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on apparel;
Arail kapwat ender ni pali liki ni arail inid pena pit en mona de kapwat ki kold, de dilion nan likau linan.
4 but [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible [apparel] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
A kapwat me jo janjal mi nan monion en aramaj, me jo jor, impai, opampap, iei me kajampwal ren Kot.
5 For after this manner aforetime the holy women also, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
Pwe iduen kapwat en li jaraui en kaua kan, me kaporoporeki Kot o duki on pein arail warok kan.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose children ye now are, if ye do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.
Duen Jara, me peiki on Apraam o kamare kin i: Ai kaun; a komail wiala na jeri kan, ma komail pan wiawia mau o jota majak.
7 Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with [your wives] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.
Pil dueta komail ol akan, lelapoki on omail warok kan, kaka kin irail, pwe koma jojoki pena mak en maur, pwe omail kapakap ender poula.
8 Finally, [be] ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded:
A iet imwin mepukat: Komail karoj en lamalam ta pot, o pokepok pena, o pok on ri omail akan, o kadek, o aktikitik.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but contrariwise blessing; for hereunto were ye called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Komail der depukki me jued me jued, de lokaia jued lokaia jued, a kapaiada, ap aja, me a kilele on komail, en jojoki pai kan.
10 For, He that would love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:
Pwe me men pok on maur o inon ion ran mau akan, i en pera jan jued lo a, o kil en au a, pwe re depa kotaue.
11 And let him turn away from evil, and do good; Let him seek peace, and pursue it.
A en muei jan me jued, ap wia me mau, en rapaki popol, ap dadaurata.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, And his ears unto their supplication: But the face of the Lord is upon them that do evil.
Pwe jilan in Kaun o kin pera me pun kan, o karon a me mani ar kapakap. A jilan in Kaun o kin palian irail me wia jued.
13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be zealous of that which is good?
Ij i me pan kaokaoe komail, ma komail dadaurata me mau?
14 But and if ye should suffer for righteousness’ sake, blessed [are ye]: and fear not their fear, neither be troubled;
A ma komail kamekameki me pun, komail meid pai; komail der majak irail o der waponda.
15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: [being] ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:
A komail en kajarauiki nan monion omail Kaun Krijtuj. Anjau karoj komail en kak japen on amen amen me kalelapok re omail duen kaporopor o, me mi lol omail.
16 having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ.
A mepukat en wiaui nin tiak en opampap, o majak, o injen makelekel, pwe irail, me kinekine likam on komail ni omail wiawia mau ren Krijtuj, ren namenokala ni ar karaun kin komail likam.
17 For it is better, if the will of God should so will, that ye suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.
Me mau, ma i kupur en Kot, komail kamekameki me mau, jan omail kamekameki me jued.
18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh, but quickened in the spirit;
Pwe pil Krijtuj kamekame ki dip pan mepak, me Pun wiliandi me japun kan; pwen kalua kitail don Kot. Pali uduk kamekamelar ap kaiaja kida Nen.
19 in which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison,
I me a kotidilan waja teneten, pwen padaki on nen akan,
20 which aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:
Me jota peik maj o, ni anjau me Kot kotin auiaui o kanonama on ir ni muein Noa, ni anjau, me war im wiauier, me malaulau, ir me walemen, maure kila pil o.
21 which also after a true likeness doth now save you, [even] baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;
I me pil kin kamaur komail la anjau wet ni paptaij a kaidin kaminela pali uduk, pwe inau en injen mau on Kot eu, ki en Iejuj Krijtuj a iajadar.
22 who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
A kotidalan nanlan, kotikot ni pali maun en Kot. Tounlan kan, o lapalap akan, o manaman akan upai on i.
