1 Kings 22
1 And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.
ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೂ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಯುದ್ಧ ನಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
2 And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.
ಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.
3 And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth-gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, “ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತ್ ನಮ್ಮದೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತುಂಟಲ್ಲಾ? ನಾವು ಅದನ್ನು ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
4 And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುತ್ತೀಯಾ?” ಎಂದನು. ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನೂ ನೀನೂ, ನನ್ನ ಜನರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳೂ ಒಂದೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದನು.
5 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD today.
ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಮೊದಲು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದೋ, ಬೇಡವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವರು, “ಹೋಗು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು,” ಎಂದರು.
7 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here besides a prophet of the LORD, that we might inquire of him?
ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ನಾವು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
8 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the LORD, Micaiah the son of Imlah: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಮ್ಲನ ಮಗ ಮೀಕಾಯನೆಂಬ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನಲ್ಲ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು, “ಅರಸನು ಹಾಗೆ ಅನ್ನದಿರಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
9 Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ಇಮ್ಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮೀಕಾಯನನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು.
10 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ, ರಾಜವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಯಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
11 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.
ಆಗ ಕೆನಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು, “ತನಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ‘ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಇರಿದು ಹಾಕುವೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
12 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ, “ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಜಯ ಹೊಂದು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು,” ಎಂದರು.
13 And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets [declare] good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak thou good.
ಆದರೆ ಮೀಕಾಯನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲು ಹೋದ ದೂತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಏಕಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಮಾತಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿ; ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತು ಆಡು,” ಎಂದನು.
14 And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಕಾಯನು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳುವರೋ, ಅದನ್ನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
15 And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go up, and prosper; and the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
ಅವನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಮೀಕಾಯೆಹುವೇ, ನಾವು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದೋ ಅಥವಾ ಬೇಡವೋ?” ಎಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು, “ಹೋಗಿ ಜಯ ಹೊಂದಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು,” ಎಂದನು.
16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?
ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೊಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು?” ಎಂದನು.
17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಕಾಯನು, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರು ಕುರುಬನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಚದರಿಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ‘ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ,’ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು,” ಎಂದನು.
18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ, “ಇವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುವನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದನು.
19 And he said, Therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
ಆಗ ಮೀಕಾಯನು, “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು: ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಅವರ ಬಲಗಡೆ, ಎಡಗಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು.
20 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner; and another said on that manner.
ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ‘ಅಹಾಬನು ಹೋಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸುವವನು ಯಾರು?’ ಎಂದರು. “ಒಬ್ಬನು ಒಂದು ವಿಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವಿಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him.
ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಂದು ಆತ್ಮವು ಹೊರಟುಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು, ‘ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ,’ ಎಂದಿತು.
22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt entice him, and shalt prevail also: go forth, and do so.
“ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ‘ಅದು ಹೇಗೆ?’ ಎಂದರು. “ಅದಕ್ಕದು, ‘ನಾನು ಹೊರಟು ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನಾಡುವ ಆತ್ಮವಾಗಿರುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದಿತು. “ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, ‘ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸುವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಯಿಸುವೆ. ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡು,’ ಎಂದರು.
23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets; and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.
“ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನಾಡುವ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
24 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?
ಆಗ ಕೆನಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು, ಮೀಕಾಯನ ಕೆನ್ನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿತು?” ಎಂದನು.
25 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಕಾಯನು, “ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒಳಕೊಠಡಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗುವ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡುವೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನೀವು ಮೀಕಾಯನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಆಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ಅರಸನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಷನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ,
27 and say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.
‘ನಾನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವವರೆಗೂ ನೀವು ಇವನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಡಿರೆಂದು ಅರಸನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸು,” ಎಂದನು.
28 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, ye peoples, all of you.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಕಾಯನು, “ನೀನು ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಬಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಲ್ಲ, ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ; ಜನರೇ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಡಿರಿ!” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.
ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
30 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ವೇಷಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆನು. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರು,” ಎಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ವೇಷಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
31 Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty and two captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.
ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ರಥಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವುಳ್ಳ ಮೂವತ್ತೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel; and they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರಥಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ, “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಇವನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡನು.
33 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.
ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ರಥಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದರು.
34 And a certain man drew his bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am sore wounded.
ಆದರೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಸೈನಿಕನೊಬ್ಬನು ಗುರಿ ಇಡದೆ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಾಣವನ್ನೇರಿಸಿ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು, ಅದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, ಅವನ ಕವಚದ ಸಂದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ತಾಕಿತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ರಥ ನಡೆಸುವವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ರಥವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೈನ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆಚೇಕಡೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು, ನನಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.
ಆ ದಿವಸವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಬಹು ಘೋರವಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಆತುಕೊಂಡು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಗಾಯದ ರಕ್ತವು ರಥದ ಅಡಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಿದು ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು, ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಮರಣಹೊಂದಿದನು.
36 And there went a cry throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his country.
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವಾದಾಗ, “ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೂ, ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ಹೋಗಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
37 So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು.
38 And they washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; (now the harlots washed themselves [there]; ) according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.
ಆ ರಥವನ್ನು ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯರು ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಾಯಿಗಳು ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನೆಕ್ಕಿದವು.
39 Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
ಅಹಾಬನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ, ಅವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ದಂತದ ಮನೆಯೂ, ಅವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
40 So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
ಅಹಾಬನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಅಹಜ್ಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
41 And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸ ಅಹಾಬನ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
42 Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
ಅವನು ಅರಸನಾದಾಗ ಮೂವತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಶಿಲ್ಹಿಯ ಮಗಳಾದ ಅಜೂಬಳೆಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ.
43 And he walked in all the way of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: howbeit the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಆಸನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತೊಲಗದೇ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರೂ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಧೂಪಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದ್ದರು.
44 And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.
ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
45 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he shewed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೂ, ಅವನು ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಧವೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
46 And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he put away out of the land.
ಅವನ ತಂದೆ ಆಸನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದ ಪುರುಷಗಾಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ದೇಶದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
47 And there was no king in Edom: a deputy was king.
ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದೋಮಿನೊಳಗೆ ಅರಸನಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
48 Jehoshaphat made ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Ezion-geber.
ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಓಫೀರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಾರ್ಷೀಷ್ ಹಡಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಎಚ್ಯೋನ್ ಗೆಬೆರಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಡೆದುಹೋದವು.
49 Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.
ಆಗ ಅಹಾಬನ ಮಗ ಅಹಜ್ಯನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಡಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
50 And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಅವನ ಪೂರ್ವಜರ ಸ್ಮಶಾನಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನು ಅರಸನಾದನು.
51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned two years over Israel.
ಅಹಾಬನ ಮಗ ಅಹಜ್ಯನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಹದಿನೇಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ, ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಆಳಿದನು.
52 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherein he made Israel to sin.
ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಡೆದನು.
53 And he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD, the God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
ಅವನು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
