1 Kings 10
1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
Quando a rainha de Sabá ouviu falar da fama de Salomão a respeito do nome de Iavé, ela veio testá-lo com perguntas difíceis.
2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
Ela veio a Jerusalém com uma grande caravana, com camelos que carregavam especiarias, muito ouro e pedras preciosas; e quando veio a Salomão, ela falou com ele sobre tudo o que havia em seu coração.
3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king which he told her not.
Salomão respondeu a todas as suas perguntas. Não havia nada escondido do rei que ele não lhe tivesse dito.
4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
Quando a rainha de Sabá viu toda a sabedoria de Salomão, a casa que ele tinha construído,
5 and the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
a comida de sua mesa, o sentar de seus servos, a assistência de seus funcionários, suas roupas, seus portadores de copos e sua ascensão pela qual ele subiu à casa de Yahweh, não havia mais espírito nela.
6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom.
Ela disse ao rei: “Foi um verdadeiro relato que ouvi em minha própria terra de seus atos e de sua sabedoria”.
7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
No entanto, não acreditei nas palavras até que cheguei e meus olhos o viram. Eis que nem mesmo a metade me foi dita! Sua sabedoria e prosperidade excedem a fama que eu ouvi.
8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, [and] that hear thy wisdom.
Felizes são seus homens, felizes são estes seus servos que estão continuamente diante de você, que ouvem sua sabedoria.
9 Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.
Bendito seja Javé, vosso Deus, que se deleitou em vós, para vos colocar no trono de Israel. Porque Javé amou Israel para sempre, por isso ele o fez rei, para fazer justiça e retidão”.
10 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
Ela deu ao rei cento e vinte talentos de ouro, e uma quantidade muito grande de especiarias e pedras preciosas. Nunca mais houve tanta abundância de especiarias como estas que a rainha de Sabá deu ao rei Salomão.
11 And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees and precious stones.
A frota do Hiram que trouxe ouro de Ophir também trouxe de Ophir grandes quantidades de almugares e pedras preciosas.
12 And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king’s house, harps also and psalteries for the singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen, unto this day.
O rei fez das amendoeiras pilares para a casa de Yahweh e para a casa do rei, harpas também e instrumentos de cordas para os cantores; nenhuma dessas amendoeiras veio ou foi vista até hoje.
13 And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.
O rei Salomão deu à rainha de Sabá todo o seu desejo, o que ela pediu, além do que Salomão lhe deu de sua generosidade real. Então ela se virou e foi para sua própria terra, ela e seus servos.
14 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,
Agora o peso do ouro que chegou a Salomão em um ano foi seiscentos e sessenta e seis talentos de ouro,
15 beside [that which] the chapmen [brought], and the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of the mingled people, and of the governors of the country.
além do que os comerciantes trouxeram, e o tráfego dos comerciantes, e de todos os reis do povo misto, e dos governadores do país.
16 And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred [shekels] of gold went to one target.
O rei Salomão fez duzentos baldes de ouro batido; seiscentos siclos de ouro foram para um balde.
17 And [he made] three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pounds of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon;
Ele fez trezentos escudos de ouro batido; três minas de ouro foram para um escudo; e o rei os colocou na Casa da Floresta do Líbano.
18 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.
Moreover o rei fez um grande trono de marfim, e o revestiu com o mais fino ouro.
19 There were six steps to the throne, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.
Havia seis degraus para o trono, e o topo do trono era redondo atrás; e havia apoios de braço de cada lado junto ao lugar do assento, e dois leões de pé ao lado dos apoios de braço.
20 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.
Doze leões estavam ali de um lado e do outro, nos seis degraus. Nada como foi feito em qualquer reino.
21 And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
Todos os vasos de bebida do rei Salomão eram de ouro, e todos os vasos da Casa da Floresta do Líbano eram de ouro puro. Nenhum era de prata, pois era considerado de pouco valor nos dias de Salomão.
22 For the king had at sea a navy of Tarshish with the navy of Hiram: once every three years came the navy of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
Pois o rei tinha uma frota de navios de Tarshish no mar com a frota do Hiram. Uma vez a cada três anos a frota de Társis vinha trazendo ouro, prata, marfim, macacos e pavões.
23 So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
Portanto, o rei Salomão excedeu todos os reis da terra em riqueza e sabedoria.
24 And all the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
Toda a terra buscava a presença de Salomão para ouvir sua sabedoria que Deus havia colocado em seu coração.
25 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
Ano após ano, cada homem trazia seu tributo, vasos de prata, vasos de ouro, roupas, armaduras, especiarias, cavalos e mulas.
26 And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
Salomão reuniu carruagens e cavaleiros. Ele tinha mil e quatrocentos carros e doze mil cavaleiros. Ele os mantinha nas cidades das carruagens e com o rei em Jerusalém.
27 And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
O rei tornou a prata tão comum como as pedras em Jerusalém, e os cedros tão comuns como os sicômoros que estão nas terras baixas.
28 And the horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt; and the king’s merchants received them in droves, each drove at a price.
Os cavalos que Salomão tinha foram trazidos do Egito. Os mercadores do rei os receberam em bandos, cada um com um preço.
29 And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred [shekels] of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
Uma carruagem foi importada do Egito por seiscentos siclos de prata, e um cavalo por cento e cinqüenta siclos; e assim eles os exportaram para todos os reis dos hititas e para os reis da Síria.
