< 1 Corinthians 12 >
1 Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
Tu in suapui te awng, thaa i tel taw kisai he ngawl in na om tu uh ka dei bua hi.
2 Ye know that when ye were Gentiles [ye were] led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might be led.
Note sia Gentile mite na hi uh a, hi a pau thei ngawl milim te kung ah a ki paipui te na hi uh hi, ci na he uh hi.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.
Tua ahikom Pathian Thaa tungtawn in thuhil te kuama in Jesus sia hamsiatna hi, ci ngei ngawl hi: taciang Tha Thiangtho tungtawn simngawl kuama in Jesus sia Topa hi, ci in a he bua uh hi, ci kong hesak hi.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Tu in tel a tatuam om hi, ahihang Thaa khat bek om hi.
5 And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.
Taciang Pathian nasep a tatuam om napi, Topa khat bek om hi.
6 And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.
Taciang nasep a tatuam om napi, na theampo a seam Pathian khat bek om hi.
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.
Ahihang Thaa hong kilak na sia khatsim i phattuam natu in hong kilak a hihi.
8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:
Banghangziam cile Thaa in mi khat i tung ah ciimna kammal pia hi; a dang khat tung ah tua Thaa in heakna kammal pia hi;
9 to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;
Tua Thaa ma in midang khat tung ah upna pia hi; taciang a dang khat tung ah damsak theina tel pia hi;
10 and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits: to another [divers] kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:
A dang khat tung ah nalamdang te vawt thei na; a dang khat tung ah maisang thu pualak thei na; a dang khat tung ah thaa khentel thei na; a dang khat tung ah kam tatuam pau thei na; a dang khat tung ah kamphen thei na pia hi:
11 but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.
Ahihang hi te theampo a vawt sia Thaa khat hi a, Ama deina bang in mi khatsim tung ah hawmsak dimdiam hi.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
Banghangziam cile pumpi sia khat hi a, pumpikhen tampi a nei bang in, pumpi khen theampo sia pumpi khat a hihi: tasia bangma in Christ zong tabangma a hihi.
13 For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Banghangziam cile Judah mi ahizong, Gentile mi ahizong, sal le a suakta te ahizong, i vekpi in Thaa in pumpi khat sung ah hong phumkhawm hi; taciang i vekpi in Thaa khat sung ah dawnkhawm tu in hong vawt hi.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
Banghangziam cile pumpi sia khen khat bek hi ngawl a, khen tam mama hi.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.
Peang in, kei khut hi ngawl ka hikom, pumpi ka hi bua hi, a cile; ama sia pumpi sung ah ki hel ngawl ahi ziam?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.
Taciang, bil in, kei sia mit hi ngawl ka hikom, pumpi sung ah ka ki hel bua hi, a cile; ama sia pumpi sung ah ki hel ngawl ziam?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
Pumpi sia a vekpi in mit bebek hile, bangbang in khua za thei tu ziam? Pumpi buppi sia bil bebek hile, bangbang in ngimnam za thei tu ziam?
18 But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.
Tu in Pathian in pumpi sung ah pumpikhen te sia Ama lungkim bang in koi siat hi.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
Taciang pumpikhen te sia nam khat bek hile, koisung sia pumpi hitu ziam?
20 But now they are many members, but one body.
Ahihang tu in pumpikhen tam mama om napi, pumpi khat bek om hi.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
Taciang, mit in khut tung ah, nang ki sam ngawl khi hi: lu in zong peang tung ah, nang kong ki sam bua hi, ci thei ngawl hi.
22 Nay, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be more feeble are necessary:
Pumpi sung ah a thaneam bang in i ngaisut pumpikhen te sia, a dang te sang zong kul zaw kan lai hi:
23 and those [parts] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness;
Taciang i pumpi sung ah thupi ngawl bang in i ngaisut pumpikhen te sia, a thupitna tam seseam lai hi; taciang a hoi ngawl pumpikhen te zong hoina tampi nei zaw hi.
24 whereas our comely [parts] have no need: but God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honour to that [part] which lacked;
Banghangziam cile i pumpikhen a hoi te in bangma a kisam bua hi: ahihang Pathian in i pumpi sung ah kisapna a nei pumpikhen te sia thupitna tampi neisak in pumpi bup puapha hi:
25 that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.
Tabang in pumpi sung ah kikhenna om ngawl a; pumpikhen te khat le khat ki thinbot khawm tu a hihi.
26 And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or [one] member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
Taciang pumpikhen khat in a thuak le, pumpikhen buppi in thuakpui hi; a hibale pumpikhen khat in lapsangna a nga ciang in, pumpikhen buppi in lungdampui hi.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.
Tu in note Christ i pumpi na hi uh hi, taciang a tuan in a pumpikhen te na hi uh hi.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, [divers] kinds of tongues.
Pathian in pawlpi sung ah a masabel in, sawltak te, a ni na ah kamsang te, a thum na ah sya te, tua zawkciang in nalamdang te, taciang cina damsakna tel te, hu na, uk na le kam tatuam te koi hi.
29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all [workers of] miracles?
A vekpi in sawltak te ahi ziam? a vekpi in kamsang te a hi ziam? a vekpi in sya te ahi ziam? a vekpi in nalamdang vawt te a hi ziam?
30 have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
A vekpi in cina damsak theina tel te nei ziam? a vekpi in kam tatuam in pau ziam? a vekpi in kamphen thiam ziam?
31 But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And a still more excellent way shew I unto you.
Ahihang a phabel tel te thalawptak in dei ta vun: taciang note tung ah a phazaw lampi kong lak lai tu hi.
