1 Chronicles 18

1 And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

૧દાઉદે પલિસ્તીઓ પર હુમલો કરીને તેઓને હરાવ્યા અને તેઓના હાથમાંથી ગાથ નગર અને તેની આસપાસનાં ગામો પોતાના તાબે કરી લીધાં.

2 And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought presents.

૨તેણે મોઆબીઓને પણ હરાવ્યા, તેઓ દાઉદના દાસો બનીને તેને કર આપવા લાગ્યા.

3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

૩એ પછી દાઉદે સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરને હમાથ આગળ હરાવ્યો અને હદારએઝેર ફ્રાત નદીની આસપાસના જે પ્રદેશ પર પોતાનું નિયંત્રણ સ્થાપવા માગતો હતો તે પર દાઉદે કબજો કર્યો.

4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.

૪દાઉદે તેની પાસેથી તેના એક હજાર રથો, સાત હજાર ઘોડેસવારો અને વીસ હજાર પાયદળ સૈનિકોને કબજે કર્યા. તેણે રથોના સર્વ ઘોડાના પગની નસો કાપી નાખી, પણ તેણે પોતાના સો રથોને માટે પૂરતા ઘોડાઓનો બચાવ કર્યો.

5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

૫દમસ્કસના અરામીઓ સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરની સહાય કરવા આવ્યા ત્યારે દાઉદે બાવીસ હજાર અરામી સૈનિકોને મારી નાખ્યા.

6 Then David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought presents. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.

૬પછી દાઉદે દમસ્કસના અરામીઓના વિસ્તારમાં લશ્કરો ગોઠવ્યા. તેઓ દાઉદના દાસો બની ગયા અને તેઓ તેને કર આપવા લાગ્યા. દાઉદ જ્યાં કંઈ ગયો ત્યાં યહોવાહે તેને વિજય અપાવ્યો.

7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

૭દાઉદ હદાદેઝેર રાજાના સેવકોની સોનાની ઢાલો યરુશાલેમમાં લઈ આવ્યો.

8 And from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

૮વળી દાઉદે હદાદેઝેરના નગરો ટિબ્હાથ અને કૂનમાંથી પુષ્કળ પિત્તળ મેળવ્યું તેમાંથી સુલેમાને પિત્તળનો મોટો હોજ, સ્તંભો અને પિત્તળનાં વાસણો ભક્તિસ્થાન માટે તૈયાર કરાવ્યાં.

9 And when Tou king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah,

૯હમાથના રાજા તોઉએ સાંભળ્યું કે દાઉદે સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરને હરાવીને તેના સૈન્યનો સંહાર કર્યો છે,

10 he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadarezer and smitten him; for Hadarezer had wars with Tou; and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.

૧૦ત્યારે તેણે પોતાના પુત્ર હદોરામને દાઉદ પાસે સોનું, ચાંદી અને પિત્તળનાં વાસણો લઈને તેને સન્માનવા અને હદાદેઝેરને યુદ્ધમાં હરાવવા બદલ ધન્યવાદ આપવા મોકલ્યો. કારણ કે, હદાદેઝેરને તોઉ સાથે યુદ્ધ ચાલ્યા કરતું હતું.

11 These also did king David dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

૧૧દાઉદે તે બધાં પાત્રો યહોવાહના સભાસ્થાનની સેવા માટે અર્પણ કર્યા. તે જ રીતે, તેણે જીતેલી બધી પ્રજાઓ અદોમ, મોઆબીઓ, આમ્મોનીઓ, પલિસ્તીઓ અને અમાલેકીઓ પાસેથી મેળવેલું સોનું ચાંદી પણ તેણે ઈશ્વરને અર્પણ કર્યું.

12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah smote of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.

૧૨સરુયાના પુત્ર અબિશાયે મીઠાની ખીણમાં અઢાર હજાર અદોમીઓને મારી નાખ્યા.

13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.

૧૩તેણે સમગ્ર અદોમ પ્રદેશમાં લશ્કરી છાવણીઓ ગોઠવી. બધા અદોમીઓ હવે દાઉદના દાસ બની ગયા. આમ, દાઉદ જ્યાં કંઈ ગયો, ત્યાં યહોવાહે તેને વિજય અપાવ્યો.

14 And David reigned over all Israel; and he executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

૧૪દાઉદ આખા ઇઝરાયલ પર રાજ કરતો હતો અને તેના સર્વ લોકોનો ન્યાય કરીને તેમનો ઇનસાફ કરતો હતો.

15 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder.

૧૫સરુયાનો પુત્ર યોઆબ સૈન્યનો સેનાપતિ હતો. અહીલૂદનો પુત્ર યહોશાફાટ ઇતિહાસકાર હતો.

16 and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was scribe;

૧૬અહિટૂબનો પુત્ર સાદોક અને અબ્યાથારનો પુત્ર અબીમેલેખ યાજકો હતા. શાવ્શા શાસ્ત્રી હતો.

17 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.

૧૭યહોયાદાનો પુત્ર બનાયા રાજાના અંગરક્ષકો કરેથીઓ અને પલેથીઓનો ઉપરી હતો. અને દાઉદના દીકરાઓ રાજાની સમક્ષ મુખ્ય સલાહકારો હતા.
