8 O give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name; make known his doings among the peoples.
“Give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the nations.
9 Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; talk ye of all his marvelous works.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders.
10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
11 Seek ye the LORD and his strength; seek his face evermore.
Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.
12 Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Remember the wonders He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
O offspring of His servant Israel, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones.
14 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
He is the LORD our God; His judgments carry throughout the earth.
15 Remember his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
Remember His covenant forever, the word He ordained for a thousand generations—
16 [The covenant] which he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
the covenant He made with Abraham, and the oath He swore to Isaac.
17 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

‘I will give you the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.’
19 When ye were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and sojourners in it;
When they were few in number, few indeed, and strangers in the land,
20 And they went about from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.
they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong; yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
He let no man oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf:
22 [Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
‘Do not touch My anointed ones! Do no harm to My prophets!’
23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Proclaim His salvation day after day.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all peoples.
25 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
27 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and gladness are in his place.
Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy fill His dwelling.
28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness;
30 Tremble before him, all the earth: the world also is stablished that it cannot be moved.
tremble before Him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let them say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice. Let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’
32 Let the sea roar and the fulness thereof; let the field exult, and all that is therein;
Let the sea resound, and all that fills it; let the fields exult, and all that is in them.
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before the LORD, for he cometh to judge the earth.
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth.
34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
Then cry out: ‘Save us, O God of our salvation; gather and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.’
