< Titus 1 >
1 From Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, on behalf of the faith of God’s chosen people, and their knowledge of that truth which makes for godliness
Paulo, omukosi wa Nyamuanga intumwa ya Yesu Kristo, kulwekilisha lya bhasolwa bha Nyamuanga no bhwengeso bhwe chimali bhunu obhuleta obhulengelesi.
2 – and is based on the hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began, (aiōnios )
Bhali mubhwiikanyo bhwo bhuanga bhwa kajanende bhunu Nyamuanga unu atakutula kwaika lulimi asosishe omulago gwa kajanende. (aiōnios )
3 and has revealed at his own time in his message, with the preaching of which I was entrusted by the command of God our Savior.
Omwanya gwejile gweya nasulula omusango gwaye mubhusimusi bhunu ananile naike. Janyiile okukola kutyo Nyamuanga alagiliye oyo ali mukisha weswe.
4 To Titus, my true child in our shared faith: May God, the Father, and Christ Jesus, our Savior, bless you and give you peace.
Ku Tito, omwana we chimali mu likilisha lyeswe. Echigongo, lisasila no mulembe okusoka ku Nyamuanga Lata na Yesu Kristo omwelusi weswe.
5 My reason for leaving you in Crete was that you might put in order what had been left unfinished, and appoint church elders in the various towns, as I myself directed you.
Kwo nakolele ninkusiga Krete koleleki ugamalishe amagambo gone ganu galiga gachali okuwa no kutulako abhakaluka bha ikanisa bhuli musi lwa kutyo nakulagiliye.
6 They are to be of irreproachable character, faithful to their partners, whose children are believers in Christ and have never been open to the charge of being wild or unruly.
Omukaruka wa ikanisa asiga kubha ne soro, omulume wo mugasi umwi, unu ali na bhana bhalengelesi bhanu bhatakwaikwa mabhibhi nolwo bhulangi langi.
7 For a supervisor, as God’s steward, ought to be of blameless character – not arrogant or quick-tempered, not given to drunkeness, violence or shady money-making.
Jiire omutangasha unu kemeleguluru inyumba ya Nyamuanga asige kubha ne soro. Atabha munu wa injogele amwi unu atakwibhalilila. Ni bhusi bhusi asige kubha mwangu wo kubhiililwa, asige kubha mutamiji, asige kubha unu kaletelesha obhulwani, asiga kubha wa inamba.
8 Instead, they should be hospitable, love what is good, self-controlled, upright, people of holy life and disciplined,
Nawe abhega mukumi wa bhagenyi, unu kenda obhwekisi. Jiire abhe no bhwenge bhwe kisi, ali mulengeresi, unu kamubhaya Nyamuanga, abhe mwilindi.
9 holding firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught – so that they may be able to encourage others by sound teaching, as well as to refute those who contradict it.
Abhe unu kemeregururu ameigisho ge chimari ganu geigisibhwe, koleleki atulega okukomesha emyoyo ku meigisho ge kisi kubhaiga abhajimamba.
10 For there are many undisciplined persons who lead others astray with their nonsense, especially those of the group advocating the necessity of circumcision.
Okubha bhalio bha nyantongwa bhanfu, muno muno abho rutendo. Emisango jebhwe ni jo bhulangi langi. Mbajigi jigi no kubhatangasha abhanu mubhujabhi.
11 They need to be kept quiet as they disrupt whole households by teaching what they ought not to teach, simply to make shameful financial gain.
Jiire okubhaganya abhanu rwabho. Abheigisha bhinu bhitabheire kurwa mabhona go bhurigerige abhanyamula misi jone.
12 It was a Cretan – one of their own prophets – who said: ‘Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and lazy gluttons.’ This statement is true.
Umwi webhwe, omunu wo bhwengeso, aikile, Abhakrete bhano lulimi lunu lutana bhutelo, bhabhibhi, ni ntyanyi mbibhi, ni bhalenga na bhatubhe.
13 Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they may be sound in the faith,
Okwaika okwo ni kwa chimari, kulwejo ubhaganye kwa managa gone koleleki bhaike echimari cha mukwikirisha.
14 and may pay no attention to Jewish legends, or to the directions of those who turn their backs on the truth.
Awe usige otegeresha jingani ja Bhayaudi jinu jitari ja chimari amwi ebhiragiro bhya bhanu, bhanu abhafutatira ebhye chimari.
15 To those whose minds are pure, all things are ritually pure, but to those whose minds are tainted and unbelieving nothing is pure, as their minds and consciences are alike polluted.
Ku bhanu bherere, bhyone ni bhyeru. Nawe chitariwo chinu cheru kubhajabhi na bhanyantekirisha.
16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable and disobedient and useless for any good work.
Abhaika ati chimumenyere Nyamuanga, mbe nawe mubhikorwa bhyebhwe abhamulema. Abho ni bhajabhi ka ni bhanyantongwa. Ka bhateire mu bhikorwa bhyone bhyone bhya kisi.
