Psalms 62
1 For the leader. On jeduthun. A psalm of David. I wait alone in silence for God; From him comes my help.
Ki te tino kaiwhakatangi, ki a Ierutonu. He himene na Rawiri. Ko te Atua anake taku e tatari nei: kei a ia te whakaoranga moku.
2 Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
Ko ia anake toku kohatu, toku whakaoranga, toku pa hoki, e kore e nui toku ngaueuetanga.
3 How long will you, all of you, batter a man, as one might a leaning wall?
Kia pehea te roa o ta koutou tatau ki te tangata, kia whakamatea ai e koutou, e koutou katoa, ka rite ki te taiepa e tungou ana, ki te wawa ka tata te hinga?
4 From his height they are planning to topple him. They take pleasure in falsehood; they bless with their mouth, but inwardly they curse. (Selah)

5 I wait alone in silence for God; for from him comes my hope.
Tatari, e toku wairua, ki te Atua anaki; ko ia taku e tumanako nei.
6 Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
Ko ia anake toku kohatu, toku whakaoranga, toku pa hoki; e kore ahau e whakangaueuetia.
7 On God rests my honor and safety, in God is my strong rock, my refuge.
Kei te Atua te whakaoranga moku, te kororia ano moku; kei te Atua te kohatu o toku kaha, toku piringa.
8 Trust in him, all you people assembled, pour out your heart in his presence; God is a refuge for us. (Selah)

9 The lowly are nought but a breath, the lofty are but an illusion: in the balances up they go, they are lighter than breath altogether.
He pono he mea memeha noa nga ware, he teka noa nga rangatira; ki te paunatia ratou, mama noa ake ratou tahi i te horihori.
10 Trust not in gain of extortion, set no vain hopes in robbery. As for wealth, if it bears fruit, set not your heart upon it.
Kaua e whakawhirinaki ki te tukino, kei wairangi hoki ki te pahua: ki te tini haere nga taonga, kei whakamanawa to koutou ngakau ki reira.
11 One thing God has uttered, two things there are which I heard that power belongs to God,
Kotahi korerotanga a te Atua, ka rua oku rongonga i tenei, no te Atua te kaha.
12 and to you, too, O Lord, belongs kindness; for you requite each person according to what they have done.
Nau ano, e te Ariki, te mahi tohu: rite tonu hoki ki tana mahi tau utu ki te tangata.
