< Psalms 33 >
1 Shout for joy in the Lord, you righteous: praise for the upright is seemly.
Midzi ha kple dzidzɔ na Yehowa, mi ame dzɔdzɔewo; edze mi ame siwo ƒe dzi to mɔ ɖeka la be woakafui.
2 Give thanks to the Lord on the lyre, play to him on a ten-stringed harp.
Mikafu Yehowa kple kasaŋkuwo, eye miƒo ha nɛ le ka ewo ƒe kasaŋku dzi.
3 Sing to him a new song, play skilfully and shout merrily.
Midzi ha yeye nɛ; miƒo ha nɛ kple ŋusẽ, eye míado dzidzɔɣli.
4 For the Lord is straight in his promise; and all that he does is in faithfulness.
Elabena Yehowa ƒe nya nye nyateƒe, eye wòto mɔ ɖeka; etoa nyateƒe le nu siwo katã wòwɔna la me.
5 Justice and right he loves; the earth is full of his kindness.
Yehowa lɔ̃a dzɔdzɔenyenye kple nuteƒewɔwɔ; anyigba yɔ fũu kple eƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o.
6 By his word the heavens were made, all their host by the breath of his mouth.
Yehowa ƒe nya wotsɔ wɔ dziƒowoe, eye eƒe numegbɔgbɔ wotsɔ wɔ wo ŋuti nuwoe.
7 He gathers the sea in a bottle, the ocean he puts into store-houses.
Eƒo atsiaƒumetsiwo nu ƒu ɖe kpluwo me, eye wòdzra tɔ goglowo ɖo ɖe nudzraɖoƒewo.
8 Let the whole world honor the Lord, let all who live on earth be in awe.
Anyigba katã nevɔ̃ Yehowa, eye xexemetɔwo katã nede bubu eŋu.
9 For at his word it came into being, at his command it stood forth.
Elabena eƒo nu, eye wòva dzɔ; eɖe gbe, eye wòli ke goŋgoŋgoŋ.
10 The Lord frustrates the designs of the nations, what the peoples have purposed, he brings to nought,
Yehowa gblẽ dukɔwo ƒe adaŋudedewo me, eye wòtɔtɔ anyigbadzitɔwo ƒe ɖoɖowo.
11 but the Lord’s own design will stand forever, and what his heart has purposed, through all generations.
Ke Yehowa ya ƒe ɖoɖowo nɔa anyi maʋamaʋãe ɖikaa, eye eƒe dzimesusuwo li tso dzidzime yi dzidzime.
12 Happy the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for himself as his own.
Woayra dukɔ si ƒe Mawue nye Yehowa, ame siwo wòtia be woanyi yeƒe dome.
13 The Lord looks down from heaven, he sees all of humanity;
Yehowa bi kɔ tso dziƒo ke, eye wòkpɔ amegbetɔviwo katã.
14 from where he rules he gazes on all who inhabit the earth.
Ele eƒe nɔƒe ke hekpɔ ame siwo katã le anyigba dzi,
15 He fashions the hearts of them all, and gives heed to all that they do.
eya ame si wɔ ame sia ame ƒe dzi, eye wòléa ŋku ɖe nu sia nu si wowɔna la ŋu.
16 It is not by great armies that kings are victorious, it is not by great strength that a warrior saves himself;
Aʋakɔ gbogbo si le fia aɖe si la mate ŋu aɖee o, eye ŋusẽ triakɔ hã meɖea kalẽtɔ o.
17 false hope is the war-horse to usher in victory, for all its great might it can provide no escape.
Ne eɖo ɖeɖe dzi la, sɔ maɖe ame si tsɔ eƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ da ɖe edzi o, togbɔ be ŋusẽ triakɔ le esi hã la, mate ŋu aɖee o.
18 See! The eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his kindness;
Ke Yehowa ƒe ŋku le ame siwo vɔ̃nɛ la ŋu, ame siwo tsɔa woƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ dana ɖe eƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la dzi,
19 to deliver their life from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
be wòaɖe wo tso ku ƒe asi me, eye wòana woatsi agbe le dɔŋɔli.
20 We wait for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
Míele lalam le mɔ kpɔm na Yehowa, eyae nye míaƒe xɔname kple akpoxɔnu.
21 For in him our heart is glad, we trust in his holy name.
Míaƒe dziwo le dzidzɔ kpɔm le eya amea me, elabena mieka ɖe eƒe ŋkɔ kɔkɔe la dzi.
22 Let your kindness, O Lord, be upon us, as is our hope in you.
O! Yehowa, na wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la, nanɔ mía dzi abe ale si míetsɔ míaƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ da ɖe dziwò ene.
