Psalms 24

1 Of David. A psalm. The earth is the Lord’s and all that it holds, the world and those who live in it.

ज़मीन और उसकी मा'मुरी ख़ुदावन्द ही की है, जहान और उसके बाशिन्दे भी।

2 For he founded it on the seas, and on the floods he sustains it.

क्यूँकि उसने समन्दरों पर उसकी बुनियाद रख्खी और सैलाबों पर उसे क़ाईम किया।

3 Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?

ख़ुदावन्द के पहाड़ पर कौन चढ़ेगा? और उसके पाक मक़ाम पर कौन खड़ा होगा?

4 The clean of hands, the pure of heart, who sets not their heart upon sinful things, nor swears with intent to deceive:

वही जिसके हाथ साफ़ हैं और जिसका दिल पाक है, जिसने बकवास पर दिल नहीं लगाया, और मक्र से क़सम नहीं खाई।

5 they win from the Lord a blessing: God is their champion and savior.

वह ख़ुदावन्द की तरफ़ से बरकत पाएगा, हाँ अपने नजात देने वाले ख़ुदा की तरफ़ से सदाक़त।

6 Such must be those who resort to him, and seek the face of the God of Jacob. (Selah)

यही उसके तालिबों की नसल है, यही तेरे दीदार के तलबगार हैं या'नी या'क़ूब। (सिलाह)

7 Lift high your heads, you gates – Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.

ऐ फाटको, अपने सिर बुलन्द करो। ऐ अबदी दरवाज़ो, ऊँचे हो जाओ! और जलाल का बादशाह दाख़िल होगा।

8 “Who is the glorious king?” “The Lord strong and heroic, the Lord heroic in battle.”

यह जलाल का बादशाह कौन है? ख़ुदावन्द जो क़वी और क़ादिर है, ख़ुदावन्द जो जंग में ताक़तवर है!

9 Lift high your heads, you gates – Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.

ऐ फाटको, अपने सिर बुलन्द करो! ऐ अबदी दरवाज़ो, उनको बुलन्द करो! और जलाल का बादशाह दाख़िल होगा।

10 “Who is the glorious king?” “The Lord, the God of hosts, he is the glorious king.” (Selah)

यह जलाल का बादशाह कौन है? लश्करों का ख़ुदावन्द, वही जलाल का बादशाह है। (सिलाह)
