Psalms 23

1 A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd: I am never in need.

தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவா என் மேய்ப்பராயிருக்கிறார், எனக்கு ஒரு குறையும் ஏற்படாது.

2 He lays me down in green pastures. He gently leads me to waters of rest,

அவர் என்னைப் பசுமையான புல்வெளிகளில் இளைப்பாறப் பண்ணுகிறார், அமைதியான நீர்நிலைகளின் அருகே என்னை வழிநடத்துகிறார்.

3 he refreshes my life. He guides me along paths that are straight, true to his name.

அவர் என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு புத்துயிர் அளிக்கிறார். தமது பெயருக்காக அவர் என்னை, நீதியின் பாதைகளில் நடத்துகிறார்.

4 And when my way lies through a valley of gloom, I fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me.

மரண நிழலின் பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வழியே நான் நடந்தாலும் நான் ஒரு தீமைக்கும் பயப்படமாட்டேன், ஏனென்றால், நீர் என்னுடன்கூட இருக்கிறீர்; உமது கோலும் உமது தடியும், எனக்கு ஆறுதல் அளிக்கின்றன.

5 You spread a table for me in face of my foes; with oil you anoint my head, and my cup runs over.

என் பகைவர்களின் சமுகத்தில் நீர் எனக்கென ஒரு விருந்தை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணுகிறீர். நீர் என் தலையை எண்ணெயால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணுகிறீர்; என் பாத்திரம் நிரம்பி வழிகிறது.

6 Surely goodness and love will pursue me – all the days of my life. In the house of the Lord I will live through the length of the days.

நிச்சயமாகவே என் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் நன்மையும் அன்பும் என்னைத் தொடர்ந்து வரும், நான் யெகோவாவினுடைய வீட்டில் என்றென்றுமாய் வாழ்வேன்.
