Psalms 148
1 Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights.
Dicsérjétek az Urat! Dicsérjétek az Urat az égből; dicsérjétek őt a magas helyeken!
2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts.
Dicsérjétek őt angyalai mind; dicsérjétek őt minden ő serege!
3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all stars of light.
Dicsérjétek őt: nap és hold; dicsérjétek őt mind: fényes csillagai!
4 Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens.
Dicsérjétek őt egeknek egei, és ti vizek, a melyek az ég felett vagytok!
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were made.
Dicsérjék ők az Úrnak nevét, mert parancsolt és előállottak ők.
6 And he fixed them for ever and ever by a law which they dare not transgress.
Örök időre állította fel őket; törvényt szabott és nem tér el attól.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth: you depths, with your monsters, all.
Dicsérjétek az Urat a földről: viziszörnyek és mély vizek ti mind!
8 Fire, hail, snow and ice, and stormy wind doing his word.
Tűz és jégeső, hó és köd, szélvihar, a melyek az ő rendelését cselekszik;
9 All you mountains and hills, all you fruit trees and cedars,
Ti hegyek és halmok mindnyájan, minden gyümölcsfa s mind ti czédrusok;
10 all you wild beasts and tame, creeping things, birds on the wing.
Vadak és minden barmok, férgek és szárnyas állatok;
11 All you kings and nations of earth; all you princes and judges of earth:
Földi királyok és minden nemzet, fejedelmek és mind ti földi bírák!
12 young men and maidens together, old men and children together.
Ifjak és szűzek, vének gyermekekkel:
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted. Over heaven and earth is his glory.
Dicsérjék az Úrnak nevét, mert az ő neve dicső egyedül; az ő dicsősége égre-földre kihat!
14 He has lifted his people to honor. Wherefore this chorus of praise from his saints, from Israel, the people who stand in his fellowship. Hallelujah.
És felemelte az ő népének szarvát. Dicsőítse minden ő kegyeltje: Izráel fiai, a hozzá közel való nép. Dicsérjétek az Urat!
